A Refreshing Restyling
Happy weekend everyone! I’m so glad this weekend is a lot warmer, wet, but warmer than the last. I feel like all I’m doing lately is speaking about the weather and that’s purely because it’s been crazy! I know England is known for having bad weather, but to the extremes it is at the moment, it’s not common for us. When we shot these photos, it was so cold that my hands were in so much pain. Adam and I had to do a joint shoot and it meant spending a long time out in sub zero temperatures, so it wasn’t the greatest. I recently got some thick tights to wear under my jeans too, to keep warm, and some extra fleece style scarves, but thankfully it’s warming up.
Anyway, getting to my outfit, I was wearing my old Zara Beige Coat With Faux Leather Sleeves (seen before here and here, can you believe it’s from 2012?) which I layered over numerous jumpers for warmth. I then opted for black jeans with my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop in All Black (I love these and recommend them), but instead of going with black boots like I did before, I chose my Chloe Susanna Boots in Burgundy Velvet. I haven’t worn these boots since last year so it was about time I got them out again! I never want to expose them to rain since it ruins velvet, so I’m always cautious in making sure it isn’t going to rain when I wear them.
For my accessories, I finished it off with my Burberry Claret Scarf and my Celine Nano Luggage in Dune. I was contemplating my Zac Posen bag in cream, but the Celine was the right warm shade for my coat. I think all of the colours blended really nicely together. I did have thick gloves and a hat as well, but I braved the cold for a while for the photoshoot and I regretted it after as my limbs felt like they had fallen off and were actually burning! I hate it when it’s so bitter that it hurts. It was worth it in the end though as I wanted to document the outfit for you all. What do you think of it?
And now some exciting news, Raindrops of Sapphire is 8 years old today! Where has the time gone? It seems like only a couple of years ago I was in my room, gone midnight, creating my blog and wondering what the future might hold, and now 8 years on, I’m in such a great place with it. It’s definitely been a journey of progression, albeit slowly, but it’s got there. My next blog post is going to be dedicated to the 8 years, so stay tuned for that, but right now I wanted to actually say happy birthday Raindrops of Sapphire, on the actual day of its birthday! Thank you for always supporting me everyone and following me on this wonderful ride! Lorna xx.
