A Versatile Watch For All Occasions

The Search For A Versatile Watch For All Occasions I’ve always loved watches, that’s never been a secret, and I own quite a lot of them! My collection consists of two expensive designer watches from BVLGARI and from RADO, and a lot of other brands like Olivia Burton, Daniel Wellington, Nordgreen etc., so I love a lot of variation when it comes to timepieces! It’s extremely helpful when you’ve got an item for every occasion, whether that’s casual day wear or a more elegant timepiece for evening. We always need glitz and glam as much as we need ease of wear, but what if you could combine both in one? That’s one way to end up with a more minimalist approach to your wardrobe, all while keeping versatility. Something that I have had a lot more interest in lately when it comes to my approach to clothing. One brand I haven’t yet tried is Seiko, and they have a Seiko Grand Seiko watch that has always caught my eye! Of course you can get various designs of this model, but it has a classic, very simple, elegant watch face and you can have a leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet. It has a very minimal design, so you can wear it in the daytime really casually, but given its designer name and higher price tag, it works perfectly for evening too and dressing it up. It is considered to be a men’s watch, but so is my RADO and it looks unisex to me, so I’m never against wearing watches for the opposite sex, or any clothing for that…

Nordgreen The Unika Watch Review + Discount Code

Nordgreen Minimalist Watches Review + 15% Off As you guys know, I absolutely love watches, so when I heard about Nordgreen Watches, I was super excited to share them with you! I always take my collaborations seriously and this is a Copenhagen-based Scandinavian minimalist watch brand that offers a sustainable watch collection, so I couldn’t be happier to tell you about them! These thin watches are designed by award-winning Danish designer, Jacob Wagner (who you probably know as the world famous Bang & Olufsen designer),  honouring form and function in equal measure. Each of their watches has a different story to tell, while remaining modern classics and extremely versatile! The Nordgreen watch that I have here is the beautiful The Unika Rose Gold 28mm thin watch, with a stunning mesh strap. This one has the incredible white dial, with their simple and minimalist logo, combined with rose gold hands. The extra strap that I chose to go with it is a gorgeous brown leather, with a rose gold buckle, to complement the face. What I fell in love with on this watch the most was the unique and cool way that the strap connects to the dial. It’s a fun design that you don’t usually see on watches, and I fell in love with it for that purpose. It’s tough to add fun and quirky elements to something, while keeping its integrity and remaining a classic, but Jakob managed to do just that! It’s super lightweight as they’re known for their thin watches, and it’s very comfortable to wear. Mesh straps always offer you the ability to adjust the closure,…

Luxury Wristwear – Is It Worth The Investment?

What Luxury Wristwear Pieces Are Worth The Investment? Luxury and designer wristwear is something that is extremely popular, but everyone has their own thoughts and opinions on it. While some think it’s insane to spend such a large sum of money on a small item, others see them as investment pieces that are good for the future, not just now. I thought I would do a little post on the topic since I own a mixture of luxury and non luxury items, meaning I have an opinion from both sides of the conversation. I’m not at all an expert, but over the years I have come to learn what’s a good investment and what isn’t, but if it’s a timepiece or bracelet you’re looking at as a fun piece to wear and can afford it, go for it as well! My watch featured above is the BVLGARI LVCEA and it was the very first watch that I bought from a luxury brand. The LVCEA collection has been out for a few years now and this particular one is still available to buy, but I have noticed it hasn’t held its value. BVLGARI are not known for their watches being an investment and are more of a statement instead, so I don’t recommend them for buying to sell at a later point as they decrease in value when they’re used. It doesn’t matter to me though as I have no intention of selling this beautiful watch and saved up for it because I love it, but for anyone wanting a luxury timepiece which holds its value, opting for more of a…

Filippo Loreti Review: Venice Moonphase Rose Gold Blue Watch

Filippo Loreti Review It’s no secret that I love watches, and if a fancy one comes along, I’m all over it, so you can imagine my intrigue when I was first introduced to Filippo Loreti last month after reading reviews from so many people who loved the brand. I’ve got a lot of watches in my collection and have done a review for most of them, but I had never owned a moonphase watch like this one from Filippo Loreti, so I’ve now added something incredibly cool to my watch selection. For those of you new to the brand like I was, Filippo Loreti is one of the premium, direct-to-consumer watch brands, offering iconic, limited-edition designs inspired by Italy’s classic culture and architecture, but they come with a more affordable price. The watch brand was founded by Danielius and Matas Jakutis in 2014 out of Milan, Italy, after they couldn’t find a premium watch anywhere with a decent price, as most yield a 4000% profit. So in 2015 and 2016, the company set the record for the most funded timepiece project in Crowdfunding history with their campaigns! You can see everyone loved the iconic look of the Filippo Loreti watch and wanted a premium look and feel at a lower price point. Get $25 off a watch with the code: RAINDROPSXFL – valid until the end of June 2018. This particular watch that I have here is the Filippo Loreti Venice Moonphase Watch in Rose Gold Blue and it retails for £219. The Venice series captures the city of Venice with its extravagant yet sophisticated and thoughtfully curated atmosphere. Filippo…

When Is The Right Time For A Rolex?

I got my very first designer/luxury watch a few years ago and that was the BVLGARI LVCEA (pictured above) after saving up for it for a very long time. There’s something about automatic watches that I just love and I really couldn’t stop staring at the beauty of this one. The pink crown with the little diamond in and the opaline dial just made for a match made in heaven. You then recently saw this new RADO Open Heart Skeleton Watch that I got a few months ago on finance from Earnest Jones. I absolutely adore that you can see the insides and how sturdy it feels on my wrist – it’s definitely one of the watches I love a lot. The fact that it’s gold and silver just makes it easier to wear with anything and that’s a huge bonus as my BVLGARI is limited to silver hardware. That’s something I need to keep in mind when choosing a Rolex I think for the future! Since I do definitely love a classic, it means eventually it will be time to add a Rolex to my collection! The Vintage GMT Master 1675 or the Ladies President Datejust are two that I’ve had an eye on as they’re pieces from a while back. They’re both so different from each other though, choosing which one I liked the most out of these two has proven difficult. So, lets look at them below! The Gold and Diamond President Lady-Datejust The ladies President Datejust watch is stunning isn’t it? It’s an excellent choice if you’re seeking a Rolex that is both valuable and sophisticated.…

JORD Wooden Watch Frankie Purpleheart & Plum Review

JORD Frankie Purpleheart & Plum Wooden Watch Review It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of wooden watches (see here and here) as I already own a few of them. There’s something about them that I just love and think is so unique and quirky! I’ve got quite a large watch collection in general now, but whenever I get a new one, it somehow always becomes my favourite. A wood watch is one of those special timepieces which is always a conversation starter and a great way to embellish any outfit, especially when there’s colour involved. My latest wood watch to add to my collection is the JORD Frankie Series in Purpleheart & Plum. When I saw this colour online, I knew it was one that had to be mine. The burgundy and purple undertones that it has to it are so rich in their hues that it actually looks delicious! The JORD Frankie has an ultra slim case and the comfort of a straight line strap, so even though it’s wooden, it sits nicely on your wrist and is easy to wear. The face is uncomplicated, meaning it’s simple and elegant, easy to tell the time with. That’s always ideal for me since I like to be able to just glance at the watch and tell the time instantly. The wooden case is a deeper plum while the dial is more of a magenta purple, so the two blend harmoniously together, creating a stunning watch. The JORD wood watches come with a sapphire crystal glass as well, and while some of them are automatic, mine has a…

Daniel Wellington Classic Petite Watch in Bondi White Review

Daniel Wellington Classic Petite 32mm Bondi White Watch I am very excited to share with you my third collaboration with one of my favourite watch brands, Daniel Wellington. You may remember when I reviewed the original Daniel Wellington Classic Petite Watch in the Stainless Steel and White Dial combination, then I also did the Daniel Wellington Classic Petite Watch in St. Mawes with Rose Gold, for a different colour combination. Now, for the third watch, I’m reviewing the Daniel Wellington Classic Petite Watch in Bondi White! I got this watch a couple of weeks ago before I was heading on holiday to St. Ives and because of the gorgeous White leather strap, which complements the Eggshell White dial, I thought it would be absolutely perfect for some beach shots because it reminded me of a nautical inspired timepiece. I don’t think the rose gold would have worked as well as the silver though as the silver helps to keep it cool toned and works so well with the ocean, so to me, it was a winning situation! I actually ended up wearing this watch for most of the holiday, as you can see in the different photos here as I love the uniqueness. This Daniel Wellington Classic Petite Watch costs £129, just like the other two, so it’s definitely more affordable if you’re looking for a classic watch that will last a long time. Given the 32mm dial and a case thickness of 6mm, it’s one of those watches which is so easy to wear, you often forget you have it on. It’s the perfect size for showing off a…

Daniel Wellington Classic Petite St. Mawes Rose Gold Watch

Daniel Wellington Classic Petite 32mm St. Mawes & Rose Gold Watch Last month I shared with you my new Daniel Wellington Classic Petite Watch which was in the Stainless Steel and White Dial combination. I’ve been living in that watch every time I go out as it’s easy to just grab and put on, but I am even more excited to share with you another style that they just released! The mesh straps were the first to come out from Daniel Wellington for their Classic Petite collection, but they have recently just added their famous leather straps to the smaller 32mm dial. So, if you’ve always loved their classic leather straps and plain faces, but wanted a smaller version, this watch is perfect for smaller wrists or making less of a statement! As I mentioned, this new timepiece addition is the Classic Petite in St. Mawes with Rose Gold. The St. Mawes is the gorgeous brown colour of the leather strap (which I fell in love with) and I believe it’s one of the most popular colour choices for Daniel Wellington customers. It complements the Rose Gold metal perfectly as everything is in that warm hue. I loved my Stainless Steel one, and I still do for casual wear, but I think this St. Mawes version is perfect for dressing up a little bit more and giving some class to my outfits. This Daniel Wellington Classic Petite Watch costs £129, so it’s not extremely expensive at all, and obviously it features a 32mm dial with a case thickness of 6mm. The dial is called Eggshell White if you want the…
