Hi, I’m Lorna, the founder and owner of Raindrops of Sapphire. This is where I share my personal style, my life, fashion, health, travel and things that I love. Some of you may know me as the former editor and writer of DenimBlog, but I am still passionate about denim, having also founded The Jeans Blog, so if you love denim and found me through those searches, it’s nice to meet you!
I’m 33 and I live in Bath, England, but I do have a passion for travel, and I absolutely adore the United States, feeling like it’s my second home. I am a professional blogger, turning what once was originally a hobby, into a career. I founded Raindrops of Sapphire in 2010 and I absolutely love what I do, it’s allowed me to create a community here online where I have developed friendships and connections with so many people. It comes from a place of love and I honestly don’t think I could be without fashion or blogging now! I’m the very proud owner of The Jeans Blog (like I mentioned) which is dedicated to everything denim, but I also use social media as everyday, so don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for exclusive photos, videos and updates in real time.
I have designed a pair of jeans for a denim company called Prima Jeans (which you can see by clicking here) and I have done a collaboration with Paige Premium Denim as well! That was really exciting as the jeans we designed (the wash was called Lorna) were sold in quite a lot of places and sold out. I’ve also collaborated and part designed a pair of Yoga Jeans leggings, and the plan is to eventually have my own brand of clothing in the near future.
My passion for denim and blogging has really given me some wonderful opportunities in my life; like attending the Last Christmas movie premiere in London, travelling the world, being featured in ASOS magazine, working with Clarks Village, going to the Donna Ida Denim Clinic, attending Paige’s VIP Cocktail Party, doing loads of Press Days in London and more! I was voted Bath in Fashion’s blogger of the year, which was incredible, I was shortlisted for Best Designed Blog by Company Magazine too, while The Jeans Blog was a finalist in the UK Blog Awards. I have also been featured in LOOK magazine, ASOS, InStyle, Elle Korea and Bath Life magazine numerous times, written an article for InBath and various other publications as well as numerous blogs. Best of all though, in June of 2013, I got to attend LuisaViaRoma’s Firenze4Ever event in Florence in Italy! It was absolutely incredible and I loved every minute of it!
Brands I’ve worked with: Harvey Nichols, Valentino, ASOS, Warehouse, French Connection, J Brand, Citizens of Humanity, Shopbop, Revolve Clothing, Paige Denim, GUESS, Farfetch, Chi Chi London, Frame Denim, Donna Ida, Trilogy, 7 For All Mankind, BLANK NYC, AG Jeans, JORD, Ultimo, Ann Summers, Gossard, Daniel Wellington, Debenhams, LuisaViaRoma, Topshop and many more.
I have got to meet some amazing people and readers through blogging though and you all make everything worthwhile. I can’t thank my fans/readers enough for that. I have been so grateful for everything so far and I really look forward to seeing what the future holds. I recently came out about having the illness called Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and you have all been so supportive with that too, which is amazing and you can read my health posts by clicking here. I hope you all enjoy Raindrops of Sapphire as blogging is my love and being able to share it with you means a lot to me! Lorna =) xx.
