A Studded Leather Biker Jacket Outfit

An Allsaints Studded Balfern Leather Jacket Outfit Hey, everyone! Can you believe that it’s almost December already? It’s crazy how quickly this time has gone by. I recently got back from a short stay in London, as I was showing my American friend around – yes, that’s right! Christen is here in the UK, with me this time! It’s always been me going to the US, but he decided it was time to come here and we’ve been doing a lot of sightseeing, so I will have plenty of photos to share with you all from our adventures! In the meantime though, I want to get to this outfit! You already saw this studded leather jacket in a post I shared with you featuring my new purchases a while back, and here it is in an outfit! This is the Allsaints Studded Balfern Leather Jacket and it’s such a statement! Those of you who know me well will know that I adore Allsaints and I even have a post titled ‘what to know before you buy an Allsaints leather jacket’, in which I took my own advice and ended up trying out quite a few of this exact leather jacket! I needed to make sure I got a perfect fit and I was finally happy with this one, as they all run differently – especially with the colour and washing of this particular leather jacket. I took a size UK 8 in this Studded Balfern by Allsaints, and I will say that because this lamb leather is tumbled and washed, it does tend to run bigger. I did originally try…

Casual Cream Cargo Pants Outfit

Casual Cream Cargo Pants Outfit Cargo pants are still trending, and if you remember my previous outfit in my blog post called ‘how to dress up cargo pants‘, there really are so many ways to wear them. Instead of wearing heels for this look, I went for the casual options of trainers/sneakers, with a slight elevation in the look due to the jewellery and sunglasses. So, for this cargo pants look, I was wearing a pair of Bershka Cream Cargo Trousers that have more of a straight leg fit to them, which I paired with a ASOS Halter Neck Crop Top in Khaki as I thought it really complemented the trousers – giving a little nod to the 90’s. To keep it casual and easy, I opted for my Alexander McQueen Sneakers and then threw on my Levi’s Denim Jacket, to add some more colour. As I mentioned above, I dressed it up a little with my Gold D&X Jewellery and my Ray-Ban Aviator Sunglasses. The trend for cargo pants lately seems to be with oversized hoodies and chunky sneakers, however for me, I don’t feel like that’s a very flattering option. I’m quite short, and wearing every element of the look in an oversized way is going to really swamp and drown my figure. This is always why I mix tight with loose in every outfit, and it’s important to make sure the waist can be seen, so the proportions are right. I remember wearing cargo pants all the time in the 90’s, when I was little, so it’s been interesting trying the newer cargo pant trends that are…

Dusty Pink Duster Coat & A Men’s Leather Jacket

A Dusty Pink Duster Coat Outfit I’m back with some more photos from the USA! Last weekend, Christen and I attended his niece’s baby shower (she’s having a baby girl and pink was a theme of course), so I decided to wear my Allsaints Bexley Mac in Dusty Rose (you may remember it from this outfit in London) and I went for a fairly similar look to that, but much more dressed up. Instead of sneakers and grey jeans, I paired my duster coat with a White T-Shirt from Abercrombie & Fitch, my American Eagle Washed Black Skinny Jeans, which I tucked into my Loeffler Randall Isla Black Suede Booties, and finished off with my Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour in Grey and my Olivia Burton Burgundy Bee Watch. I am planning on doing a separate post on this watch, as it’s my absolute favourite at the moment, so stay tuned! I really do love how this outfit turned out as it’s a great way to incorporate pink without making it too feminine and girly if you don’t want to. Grey and washed black are always one of the best complementing shades to go with pink as well, so you can’t really go wrong when it comes to a colour palette like this. It works every single time! I definitely recommend it if you’re wanting an easy, go to set of colours that always fit perfectly with each other. I have to say that the Autumn leaves here are so gorgeous too! They make the most beautiful backdrop for photos, but I was a couple of weeks late in…

My Skims Bodysuit Cat Halloween Costume

A Black Cat Costume For Halloween Happy Halloween everyone! You guys know that I love doing my annual Halloween costume (some of my previous ones include Tinkerbell, Captain America, Wonder Woman, a Cowgirl, Little Red Riding Hood, a Devil/Angel and many more) and this year I have done it a little different! I am in the United States again for a very short time and I’m celebrating Halloween here! There was a really cool party that Christen and I went to over the weekend, so I got to wear my costume out all night, and so did he! As you can see, I am a black cat! I put this outfit together using my Skims Black Bodysuit in size small (click here to buy it) and my Duo Empress Boots that are thigh high. I finished it off with my cat ears and cat makeup. I love how this costume turned out, it’s probably my favourite rendition of a cat costume that I’ve ever put together. It felt a little odd being out in just a tight bodysuit, but it was fun! Christen on the other hand, he went all out with his Spider-Man costume! Can you see how epic his is? Ha ha. He actually looks like Spider-Man! American’s do Halloween so differently to us in the UK, so it has been such a fun experience! The costumes that people put together were so creative! Instead of just being scary like I’m used to, I saw two girls dressed as the Step Brothers movie, I saw Einstein, and so many more creative outfits! I have to say that the…

How To Style Mom Jeans For Short Women

How To Style Mom Jeans For Short Women When it comes to denim, I’m regularly asked a lot of questions, as you know I’ve been working with the fabric for over a decade, and I have a separate website dedicated to denim – The Jeans Blog. One question that I have been asked a lot recently is how to style mom jeans for short women. My Instagram inbox is home to fashion advice, so I thought I would actually put together a blog post with my tips on how to wear mom jeans if you’re on the shorter side, and actually make them look flattering. We can of course pick up any mom jeans and wear them, but the key is getting the silhouette and styling right, so that it flatters your petite frame instead of overwhelming it. For reference, I am just touching 5ft 4, and I have a longer torso and shorter legs, wearing a 26″ inseam in a full length skinny jean. I have included two different shoes here on the same outfit, so you can see how to wear mom jeans with different footwear, and I’m going to talk you through each look below each set of photos. But I’m including some tips just below for you on how to wear mom jeans for short women. I hope you enjoy the blog post and please let me know if you have any questions! Key tips to remember for styling mom jeans if you’re short: Always go for a more cropped and tapered hem. Pick a slimmer leg silhouette. Try to wear them with leg lengthening heels.…

My Last Summer Denim Shorts Outfit

Denim Shorts With A Floral Tie Front Top It’s soon to be October, and with that, summertime is officially over. I’ve always been an autumn girl, as it’s usually my favourite season, but I have to say, the hot weather is definitely growing on me and I have had so much fun this past summer, I didn’t want it to end. I’ve worn so many cute outfits and it’s probably been my favourite season so far! With this in mind, I wore one last warm weather appropriate outfit a couple of weeks ago on a warmer day, and I’m sharing it with you now. I was wearing my American Eagle Denim Short Shorts that I picked up in the United States, when I was there. I wasn’t sure on these at first as they’re pretty low rise, but I fell in love with them over time! I originally tried them on in the changing room, but I didn’t buy them, I ordered them online to really try them properly. I paired these denim shorts with my Shein Tie Front Floral Top in a gorgeous orange shade with puffy sleeves, as I’m all about these kind of tops now! For the rest of my outfit, I went with my Alexander McQueen Oversized Sneakers, to dress it down and just add a really casual vibe to the entire look, but then I added an element of classiness with my Mulberry Small Darley in Blush Pink. I think it’s the perfect bag to balance the shoes and shorts, as it’s feminine and petite. I then finished it off with my Daisy London Gold…

How To Dress Up Cargo Pants

How To Dress Up Cargo Pants The cargo pants trend is increasing in popularity as the weeks go by! It’s very reminiscent of the late 90’s and early 00’s, as I remember wearing them when I was a lot younger. Now we are seeing girls everywhere in cargo pants, whether that’s more of a wide leg or a tapered leg, they’re trending – there’s no escaping them. As I do with all fashion trends, I like to incorporate them in my own way with my own personal style, and that’s what I have done here – I’ve dressed cargo pants up! So, if you want to know how to style cargo pants this season, check out my photos! For my outfit, I chose a pair of Stradivarius Brown Cargo Pants and I took them in a size UK 12. I’m usually a 10, and although the 10 did fit, they were pretty snug and not as comfortable as I wanted. Brown was a more unique choice for me to go with as the army green shade can feel too common. I also wanted a straight leg, so I could dress them up with boots, so these turned out to be the perfect option! I picked them up on ASOS for around £30. As I’m dressing these up, I chose a gorgeous knit from Bershka. I took a size medium as I needed it to have room at the chest, and not pull, as it only has a one button fasten. It wouldn’t be the kind of top I would usually think to pair with cargo trousers, but it was perfect!…
