A Brand New Q&A With Me!

It’s been quite a few years since I did a Q&A and answered some of the standard questions, as well as some of yours, so I thought I would update you with one! You can see all of my previous Q&A posts by clicking here, and if you do have a question for me, leave it in the comments below and I can answer! Lorna xx. How old are you? I’m 31! I will be 32 on August 3rd! What’s your height and weight and clothes size? I’m 5ft 4″ tall (I used to think I was 5ft 5″ and it turns out I measured wrong, ha ha!). I weigh approximately 145 pounds. My clothes size varies between a UK 8-10 (US 4-6) with a jeans size of around a 28 in premium denim. My shoe size is a 39/40! What colour are your eyes and natural hair colour? My eyes are a solid green, and my natural hair colour is dark blonde! Kind of mousy. Where do you live? I live in Bath, which is a beautiful historic, countryside city in the South West of England. What sort of music do you like? I have a very varied, eclectic taste in music. I love old 80’s rock, I like indie rock, I love country music, some pop music… I couldn’t really pinpoint it to a specific genre. I love Shawn Mendes though! What movies and TV shows do you like? I recently got into Seinfeld! I love that! But otherwise I love classic Netflix shows like Stranger Things, Altered Carbon etc. or I adore The Goldbergs, Doctor Who, Friends……

An Updated Q&A – Have I Changed?

I’ve done a Q&A almost every year, sometimes less, but I thought it might be really good to see how my answers have changed during the 6 years that I’ve been blogging here on Raindrops of Sapphire. I’ve grown up a huge amount and have changed a lot, not just with my personal style, but with my mindset as well, so I thought this might be quite fun since you’ve all been on this journey with me too! I hope you enjoy it! You can read a previous Q&A here and here. How many pairs of jeans do you own? 2010 – I currently have around 140 pairs of premium jeans. I’ve been collecting them for so long now! I have sold lots already though, if I didn’t I am sure I would have over 200! Now – Well this answer has exploded and I didn’t realise just how much! I have around 450 pairs of jeans now… Yikes! Again though, if I didn’t sell a lot of them, I would be close to 700, I’m sure! Do you smoke, drink or anything else? 2010 – Nope, Nope and Nope! I have never smoked in my life and don’t plan to, I hate the smell. I am completely t-total, I have never drank alcohol and I’m keeping it that way. I don’t even eat foods with it in. I wont do anything else either that’s remotely bad for you. I like to keep my body as clean as possible. Now – Answer still remains exactly the same! What sort of music do you like? 2010 – It varies all the…

The Key To Happiness

An interview with me on the key to happiness and being present Since coming out about my illness (M.E) and working with the M.E organisation, doing a couple of interviews and trying to answer all of your questions on it, I thought I would pile together some of the important and life changing questions from you and answer them in this post. I wanted this post to be about happiness, clarity and well-being, finding an internal strength and calmness even through the struggles and that’s something that I am on my way to achieving in full. I was sent these questions by most of you as readers, but the lovely Lindsey McKeon (who I interviewed before) asked me a few too and you can see those three first. I put them first as I think that’s fitting for the order and because she always asks such thoughtful and inspirational questions, which gets me started off well, but the rest of the questions are just as important and help give the interview depth. So why am I doing this interview? That old saying about when life gives you lemons, I see it as you have three possible options. 1 – You accept the lemons, you eat them, you go about your business. Sometimes slicing them a little or sprinkling them on your food, but the general rule is that you eat them. 2 – You complain about the lemons, you wanted oranges instead. You sit there and watch them go mouldy, getting angry at having the wrong fruit. 3 – You make lemonade. I know this is the usual answer, but…

Readers Q&A With Lorna Raindrops + Site Relaunch

Before I start, I wanted to welcome you to my new blog layout! I’ve spent a long while with a designer (Phil from Pipdig) to create something perfect that I love and I think I am finally happy! It’s sleek, minimal, clean and classic, with a mature edge to it and I love it! I’ve added new sections to the sidebar and footer, I’ve created a newer header/banner and I’ve tidied a lot of things up. I’m really happy that I found Phil as he seems to have an amazing knowledge of what fashion bloggers love when it comes to themes and design! Money well spent! I hope you like it! You probably already know that I love getting to know all of you and reading/replying all of your lovely comments that you leave me, so I thought it was about time that I did a new and updated reader Q&A for 2015! I mentioned this on my social media for 24 hours, especially Instagram, and lots and lots of you left me questions to answer and asked for some advice, so here are my responses! Thank you as always for reading Raindrops of Sapphire and supporting me! Lorna xx. Janelleebean – #asklornaraindrops What’s your go-to outfit when you’re short on time? This usually consists of a pair of Citizens of Humanity Rocket skinny jeans or 7 For All Mankind, paired with a GAP long sleeve jumper top and my Zara Parka coat, finished with my New Balance 410’s. This is my current one that I usually wear for running errands during the colder months! In the Summer, it’s my…

My Blogs 4th Birthday!

So today is my blogs 4th birthday and I honestly can’t believe just how fast it’s gone! It still only feels like last year I was on my bed thinking up the name Raindrops of Sapphire at about 3am in the morning when I couldn’t sleep! These 4 years have just flown by and I’m really thankful for how much my blog has grown in this time, even though it’s been incredibly hard work, I’m very happy that all of you follow my posts and enjoy reading it! So, in honour of my 4th birthday, I thought I would do a video Q&A for you so you can get to know me a little bit better, in a more personal format. You can watch it above. I hope you like it and as always, let me know what you think in the comments below or if you have more questions!

An Updated Q&A With Me

It’s been a while since I did an updated Q&A for you all. There are 35 questions in this post and they took forever to finish! A lot of them are questions I get asked from readers or people in general, while others are random questions I thought might be of interest. Hopefully you enjoy them! If you do have any questions for me, just leave a comment on this Q&A post below and I will answer them as well! You can also read all of my other Q&A’s by clicking here. 1) If you could be a different nationality, what would you be? I would probably most like to be Italian. After visiting Italy in June, I fell in love with the people and the culture. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and so laid back. I like Italians. 2) What’s your favourite country? Again, this would probably be Italy. I loved it and it reminded me a lot of my own city of Bath. My city here is an old Roman city and it has a lot of Italian characteristics to it, so I would say Italy. I have always loved the idea of visiting Australia though, it looks amazing there! And of course Los Angeles, but that’s not a country.

30 Things You Didn’t Know About Me

I thought it might be fun to state 30 things and facts about me that you wouldn’t know! I have listed them below and I think it might give you a bit more of an insight as to what I’m like, a long with my other Q&A’s that I have done (which you can read here). I would love to know more facts about some of my regular readers though if you want to leave some in the comments! 1 – I used to be a tom boy for the most part of my childhood. 2 – I tend to get on better with guys more than girls. Tends to be less drama lol. 3 – June will be the first time I’ve ever travelled out of the country (I will let you know about this trip soon). 4 – I secretly adore the Welsh accent! 5 – I bite my nails a lot – which is such a bad habit.

Get To Know Me More

I thought it would be fun to do another questions and answers post so you could get to know me a little bit more than the amount you currently know. I have some older Q&A posts from over the years, but this one includes some really random questions. If you have anything else you want to know, just leave me a comment and I will answer! 1. Were you named after anyone? No, I wasn’t. My parents decided on my name the moment I was born. Apparently I looked like a Lorna lol. Although my middle name is named after my grandmother who unfortunately I didn’t get to meet. 2. When was the last time you cried? This was a couple of weekends ago watching The Vow actually. Gosh that was so sad! 3. Do you like your handwriting? Yeah I don’t mind it, it’s quite neat and rounded. I used to try and perfect it at school. That was a long time ago though and now I mainly type rather than write. 4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? I actually do, but not in a mean way, it’s always in a joking way. I tend to prefer to have fun and banter rather than be serious all the time, it’s much more enjoyable 🙂 5. Would you like to bungee jump? I would, but not by my feet. I would rather do one where the rope is around your waist so you are in a sitting position. However, I know it would make me ill. I’m very sensitive and get vertigo from the slightest things now I’m older.…
