Black & White Floral Frill Wrap Dress Outfit

A Black & White Floral Frill Wrap Dress With Boots

Here is the second post in my three part series, styling dresses with Blue Vanilla! If you missed the first one, you can find it here – How to style a smock tunic dress for Autumn – and let me know what you think! My mum and I shot these photos in the same location, but it really gives off a different vibe and feel because the dress is so different to the first orange one. Instead of going for a fun, casual look, I’ve opted for something a little more classy and chic, using this Blue Vanilla Gisela Frill Edge Wrap Dress.

I also took this dress in a UK 10 and it fits perfectly. I find they tend to run a little smaller than other brands, and I definitely couldn’t have fitted into a UK 8 at all, so if you’re between sizes, go for your larger size! This dress is really lightweight and floaty, with a wrap style design as it has tie strings at the side. It’s made from a polyester fabric, which allows it to move freely with your body, and I think that’s important since it has frills on the sleeves and the bottom of the dress. You need that movement. The V neckline (because of the wrap style) is incredibly flattering too, I always love a low neckline like that as it slims the figure and can make you look a lot taller.

I paired this Gisela dress with my DUO Over The Knee Empress Boots, and finished it off with my Valentino Mini Lock Bag in Ivory, and some accessories like my Shashi Love Bracelet, some Gold Rings and an L necklace. I think these accents play off the gold tones of the bag nicely, but it all comes together as one to make this outfit suitable for daytime as much as it is nighttime. It’s not often that you can put something together that’s so versatile, but this ensemble here is just that!

You could easily style this Blue Vanilla Dress with some heels too and a sparkly clutch for a glamorous evening look, as much as you could also wear some ankle boots and a belt around the middle. Even though it has frills and a chic fabric, there are many things you can do with it and that’s what drew me to it in the first place. It’s all in the styling! The best part though is the fact that it’s so affordable! It’s only £28 and you can’t go wrong for that price! If most of you are like me, you like to save and spend more of your money on shoes and bags, the pieces with longevity, and spend less money on seasonal clothing, so this is perfect for that scenario! What do you think of it? Lorna xx.

How do you mean going in the trees? I’m not going anywhere that it’s muddy or that could ruin my suede boots, ha ha. Glad you like the dress! It’s really pretty!

It’s a beautiful dress outfit Lorna! I love everything about it – the color, the print and the sleeves! I haven’t quite pulled the trigger on OTK boots but I am thinking I need a pair! I hope you are well and happy Tuesday!
