Seeing Double In Calvin Klein Sweatshirts
Adam and I like to dress similarly sometimes as we have a very similar personal style to one another. Since he does blogging too for menswear, he suggested that we do a joint photoshoot and we got my mum to take the photos. It actually ended up taking a long time to get the shots right as we kept laughing, something would go wrong, my mum wouldn’t focus it correctly etc., it was eventful, ha ha! Who knew having two people could be twice as much work!
Anyway, we decided to match in our Calvin Klein Logo Sweatshirts, so I went for a Heather Grey (click here to buy it) and Adam had a Charcoal shade. I went for my GRLFRND Candice Skinny Jeans in Love Hangover and Adam went for the Frame Le Skinny de Jeans in Westwell. Then for the shoes, we both opted for our Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers as we have very similar pairs. We do actually own the same jeans, so we could have gone matching entirely, but we thought it was best to opt for different colours so that it wasn’t too much – we don’t want to be identical twins after all.
I actually enjoyed doing a double shoot so much that we did another one a few weeks ago as well, which was very Autumn inspired, but I will be sharing that one after Christmas since I have so much content already planned for the rest of this month. Sometimes we often think about matching other pieces we have, but when the items have sold out because one of ours is older, it can be difficult to find them. I often end up looking around on second hand places for those types of things, which can be great if someone is selling an item you wanted a few seasons ago, plus you don’t have to worry about the price as it would usually be cheaper than the RRP anyway.
Obviously eBay is a good place, but it often drives me mad and causes me issues, Vestiaire is fantastic for it, but due to their selling fees, a lot of the prices are hiked up beyond what they should be, so I’ve been having a look at Micolet UK, a second-hand clothing store that stocks a lot of my favourite items and brands, but the prices are insane! As an example, there’s numerous Calvin Klein pieces on there, if you wanted to shop mine and Adam’s look for a lot less, as well as some very similar jeans, so you don’t always have to pay retail. Like I mentioned, I don’t pay retail for many things, I’m always using discount codes and waiting for sales.
Anyway, as a final note, it’s very nearly Christmas, and since I wrote my post on ‘The Magic Of Christmas – Is It Lost?‘ I actually haven’t been feeling hugely Christmas-sy at all, in a weird way. Of course I’ve been watching movies and listening to the music, enjoying the decorations, but in my mind, it doesn’t feel like it, I haven’t even worn a Christmas jumper yet and I’ve usually done three by now, and I’m wondering if that’s due to how fast the end of the year has gone, or due to the weather. It has cold dips for a couple of days, but it’s a steady 8-10C usually and it’s oddly warm for the end of December, which is confusing me so much, where’s the snow? Ha ha. I hope you enjoyed this double outfit as something different, and do let me know if you want to see more like this! Lorna xx.
