Joseph & Stacey A Mini Plus Lemon Bag Review
I’m doing a review on a bag from a popular Korean brand specialising in luxury leather bags called Joseph & Stacey, who I am excited to be collaborating with. If you haven’t heard of them, they’re known for making fashion forward products which are functional at the same time, with cute designs that I instantly fell in love with.
The bag that I chose to review is the Joseph & Stacey A Mini Plus Bag in Lemon as I thought it was perfect for the summer! The size of it is ideal for the type of bags that I like as it’s got a width of 20cm, a height of 17cm, and a depth of 10cm, so you can see in the modelled photo below that it’s a good size for me. The bag itself comes with either a leather or a chain strap, depending on what you want, but it was the details and colour that struck me.
Made from a cowhide leather and available in Lemon, Mellow Rose, Ecru Beige, Whisper White, Chic Black, Lipstick Red, and Tourmaline Pink, I obviously chose the Lemon yellow as you can see. It’s like pure sunshine, or a primary shade, as it’s intense and vibrant, which is ideal for this time of year. It’s a streamlined design with a box like shape and a fold over flap closure. It also features a black enameled twist lock which I think adds something to the overall look and feel of the bag.
Now the details of the bag are what I love – it comes with a cute little mirror and tassel charm which you can attach to the bag around the top handle, so it’s functional as well as adorable. It also has a slip pocket on the back of the bag which is embossed with the Joseph & Stacey logo. Inside the bag it’s lined with a taupe coloured fabric and also features 4 Lemon leather card slots, as you can see in the internal photo. As I mentioned above, you can choose a leather or chain strap if you want to wear it cross-body, so what you can see on mine is the leather version which is also adjustable to suit your height with the classic belt fastening system.
Given the good quality of this bag, with the neat stitching and features, you’d think it would be quite heavy, but it’s not. It’s super lightweight and that makes me happy! You’d also think the price would cost a lot more than it does, but it’s $239, which is considerably less than the bags I usually go for. I wouldn’t say that it’s my favourite in my collection, obviously, but for something fun and summer appropriate, it’s definitely a nice bag to use and give a pop of colour to your outfits with. Who’s not cheered up by bright, bold shades of sunshine? I would love your opinions on this Joseph & Stacey bag too! Which colour would you go for? Comment and let me know! Lorna xx.
