Raindrops of Sapphire Christmas Gift Guide
It’s Christmas! Well, almost! December is the best month in the Winter and I’m still always excited by the lights, the festivities and everything else! I always do a gift guide for Christmas every single year, but this time I thought I might do something a bit different. Instead of choosing all the items myself, I’ve got a gift guide from my mum and Adam as well. I’m very aware that as a solo female blogger, my tastes in things are often not as broad as they could be for every one of you, which is why I’ve gone for three options!
My gift guide covers all the things I like and think would make good Christmas presents, based on me as an almost 30 year old female that’s into fashion and accessories (but not so much into beauty). My mum is 51 so she has more of a liking to things that would be suitable for the older lady and she adores beauty (as I’m sure you can tell). Then finally, Adam is 35 and his tastes vary as a fashionable male that also loves gadgets and gaming, so items that could be suitable for the men in your life. I don’t think age matters here though since men never grow up *winks* ha ha, I’m joking!
So in total, there’s 38 items in this gift guide! To be honest, I kind of love most of the things in my mum’s and Adam’s anyway as I do like quirky gadgets and super heroes myself, plus the jewellery my mum chose is pretty. If there isn’t anything you like the look of though in this Christmas gift guide, try the Shopbop one or I would recommend checking out ASOS (click here) as they have over 1500 items in theirs and it’s all pretty affordable. If you do love something and want to buy it, could you also help keep Raindrops of Sapphire going by buying through my links (they’re affiliated), it’s of a huge help to me! Each item has a number and the corresponding links are numbered below each image.
Lorna’s Christmas Gift Guide
1 – This dark bloom notebook would be great for someone who loves pretty things and enjoys writing. I thought it was really cute!
2 – Just like my Robin earrings you saw in this post, these are the baby penguins!
3 – Sudio make some of the best headphones, I always wear them, and these have changeable marble caps so you can go for a different, chic look!
4 – I’m all about trying to accept your body and be happy in it, this looks like a great book.
5, 9, 12 & 15 – These are all related to beauty so I thought it would make sense to write about them here. GHD make the best straighteners and this kit comes with a hair dryer too, in purple! A galaxy print eye mask is always good. The Cowshed soap is luxurious, and the Bare Minerals lip glosses in matte are just amazing! I have one and love it!
6 – A Yankee candle in a Christmas scent? No more to be said.
7, 8 & 10 – Cosy unicorn socks to keep your toes warm, a funky bobble hat in burgundy, and a colour block scarf that will go with most things. Ideal accessories for Christmas!
11 – This Nixon watch is one I am loving! The iridescent face is stunning!
Mum’s Christmas Gift Guide
1, 6 & 10 – I loved the mermaid necklace as it’s different and associated with the sea. The earrings are good for a small stud in silver with diamonds. Then the watch, it’s the face that does it for me, I love the little number icons and it’s crisp and fresh!
2 – I chose the backpack as I liked the design being a biker style, plus it’s black.
3 – Snow globes are a thing of mine. Anything that snows! I thought this one was pretty!
4, 8 & 11 – Liz Earle is a brand that I’ve used for 14/15 years now and I get on with it well as it’s organic, refreshing and nice on your skin. The Decleor I use with Liz Earle as well as an extra anti-wrinkle treatment. Then the Glam Glow set is new – I had a sample of one of the masks and it’s one of the best masks I’ve ever tried, so I thought the set of masks would be good.
5 & 7 – The TIGI Energise shampoo and conditioner makes my hair really soft and shiny, so it’s one of my favourite hair sets. Then the kit has the dry shampoo, shine spray, and after party, which I use all the time and with my age, my hair has got drier, and these really help it.
9 – I use Laura Geller make-up everyday and that kit is outstanding value, especially with that eye shadow palette which is fantastic.
Adam’s Christmas Gift Guide
1 & 4 – The Nixon watch was classic looking in the blue and gold, plus it wont break the bank, I was stuck choosing between this one too though. Then the Tommy Hilfiger watch looks really interesting and I liked the unusual style.
2 – This is the 1-24 James Bond DVD collection which any fan would love.
3 – I loved Game Boy as a child so adapting your iPhone to one might be fun!
5 & 9 – A colour changing Hulk glass sounded cool! As did a light up Star Wars canvas!
6 – Drones are really cool at the moment, but cost a fortune. This little mini pocket drone could be much more affordable and fun.
7 – I thought this wallet was nice as the red colour was really bold, plus it has card slots on the side and a zip around for coins. The unusual shape caught my eye.
8 – The Chain Chomp desk lamp is fantastic! As a Mario fan, this would be ideal.
10 & 11 – As it’s freezing, a beanie hat and scarf is a must. Grey goes with anything.
12 – Finally I chose this slam dunk basketball laundry. I thought this might be good for any of the mum’s out there who want their sons to keep their room clean. A laundry basket that’s exciting.
