Khaki Bomber Jacket With Furry Slides Outfit

A Khaki Bomber Jacket With Skinny Jeans & Furry Slides

Bomber jackets have become somewhat of a go to piece for me, given that I own about 5-6 different colours and styles. This was one that I first bought from Topshop about 2-3 years ago and never shared with you in an outfit until now. I purchased it when bomber jackets first started getting popular and the khaki green colour was one of the only shades that they had, so I went for it. You’ve since seen the burgundy lined bomber jacket that I wore in the Autumn, but I thought it was about time I showed you this one too.

So, this jackets full name is the Topshop MA1 Bomber Jacket in Khaki (buy a similar one here) and I decided to pair it with a simple white t-shirt from H&M, my James Jeans Black Skinny Jeans, and then finish it off with my River Island Furry Slides. We shot these photos when I actually got these shoes (I did a post on the furry slides trend) and I thought it was more of an edgy, gritty look so we chose to do more of an urban location for the shoot. I didn’t know if furry slides would go with a bomber jacket, but it’s what I wanted to pair together and I actually quite like how it turned out. I know not everyone is going to love this outfit though and a lot of you will probably dislike it a lot due to the shoes and the reaction they got in my trend piece, but I’m ok with that! Let me know your honest thoughts on it!

What I Was Wearing:
Jacket – Topshop (similar)
Jeans – James Jeans
T-Shirt – H&M (similar)
Slides – River Island

Yeah, that’s what I thought: “Bomber jacket with furry slides?” Worked better than I expected it would. πŸ™‚

Oh, a definite win. Just not one I’d have predicted.

There’s absolutely nothing to dislike about this look Lorna. I mean its different cos you normally sport heels but its beautiful non the less. I am a fan of furry slides so this is a massive yay for me. Happy Monday girl!

The jacket is a lovely colour and it goes so nicely with the black jeans and white shirt. πŸ™‚ I love the entire colour palette in these photos – the marrying of the outfit with the background is outstanding. These are gorgeous photos. πŸ˜€

The only negative for me… the shoes. Alas I’m not yet won over on these. I don’t think it’s that I think they’re specifically wrong for this outfit but more that I can’t yet begin to imagine them being right for any kind of outfit. Maybe you will hit upon another combination with them that makes more sense to me. This is just personal taste though and it’s fun to see something quirky being tried even if it’s not to my tastes.

    Overall though, outstanding outfit. πŸ˜€

And to think you said flats were your favourite in outfits, astonishing! Only joking, that’s fine, I expect a lot of criticism on the shoes as they’re definitely love or hate them. It took many months for me to realise I liked them. I was negative from the beginning just for the sake of it because I thought fluffy slides were ridiculous, but once I actually got to looking at them more and seeing them worn, I really was won over πŸ™‚ Happy you like the background too though, I thought something urban would be cooler!

LOL So true about my flat shoes preference… This must be the exception that proves the rule (a phrase that has never made sense to me). πŸ˜€ I don’t hate them or anything… I just don’t understand them. πŸ˜€

I remember you writing before that Adam didn’t like them… I’m curious… has he been won over yet?

No wonder bombers are to go jackets for you! You definitely look fantastic also in this one (I still remember the pink one including the story) and I love the edgy style you show here in sum! Thanks for sharing this inspirational post.

I really like the edginess of this outfit Lorna, with the classic bomber jacket and the urban backdrop. It’s great that you put lots of thought into your outfits and select backdrops that coordinate with your different looks. I wasn’t sure about furry sliders in general when you covered the trend in your previous blog post, but they look lovely on you you and I like the overall styling.

    Lots of love Saba xx

Hi Lorna. i am thinking about getting a All Saints Balfern Leather Biker Jacket. Unfortunately i live in Hong Kong which doesn’t have a store to try on.
i have the same exact bomber jacket like yours. Can you tell me what size you are wearing so i can compare? if you are uk 8 like me then i can order the same leather jacket size like yours.

Hi! This bomber jacket is a size UK 6, but I could fit the 8 too. It depended on the fit. How does your bomber fit? I’m generally a true UK 6 in the Balfern, but that’s with just a t-shirt underneath, I can’t wear it with a sweater or anything. That’s a slim fit. Let me know if you need anymore advice!

I would say my bomber is normal to slightly oversize cause i can still fit sweater or hoodies in it.
I guess i will go for a 8 in the Balfern. I plan on wearing it in winter so 8 seems like a better choice. Thank you so much! You help me big time!

No problem! You can order it here: http://rstyle.me/n/cvnipmmype
They have both vintage and normal colours! Mine is the normal black with silver hardware if that helps!

Lorna i got the new leather jacket!
I brought uk size 8 and it’s slim fit for me. I wish it to be a little bit oversize but i am satisifed with what i got. The risk of buying online is you never know the size for sure. I was so worried about the jacket size too small.
And the main thing is the leather texture! pure heaven! So soft!
I am definitely considering investing more in allsaints jacket.
Thank you so much for your help btw😘😘😘😘😘

Hi! Glad I could help πŸ™‚ Really happy it worked out! It might stretch out, I know mine have stretched a lot so it might become a bit oversize with wear! Let me know if you need any other help!

Thanks for your comments =) I read & reply every one =)
