The Topshop Tailored Burgundy Suit Outfit
I’m trying something completely different for this outfit…a suit! I’ve always loved how beautiful a suit can look on a woman, especially when it embodies the masculine elements, but looks feminine. I know most of us are no stranger to Angelina Jolie’s infamous suit outfit when she made a statement on the red carpet. With that in mind, I have always wanted to give it a go myself, but was never really sure if it would suit me (pun intended!) or if it would look silly.
I partnered with Octer, which is a website that collates the products from over 200 of the top UK stores into one database, making it easier to compare clothes from a range of different retailers and saves you from visiting multiple different sites. Also, if you scroll down on a product page, you will see matches to your chosen product. This is a great way to compare style and price, so I found this Tailored Burgundy Suit from Topshop on there and went with it! I chose a size UK 8 for the jacket and I ended up having to go with a UK 12 for the trousers as they run really small. I’m usually a 26-27 (UK 8-10) in jeans, so trousers are a whole new ball game for me and I was quite shocked that I had to take nearly two sizes up! Is that something you have to do as well or are these running small?
I paired this Topshop Burgundy Tailored Suit with a cami top in white from ASOS, my Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels, and my new Chanel Wallet On Chain bag (you will be seeing this properly soon!) as I wanted to keep it all classic, chic, and smart. I didn’t want to go with a traditional button up shirt with this suit though as I can often find that buttons get in the way for me and I like things to look a bit cleaner, so I’m really happy with how things turned out. I wouldn’t have thought that a suit would have been something I loved and enjoyed wearing, but it definitely is and I really like how it fitted and looked, which surprised me since it was from Topshop and not custom made. What do you think of my Topshop suit? I’d love your opinions on this as it’s new for me!
