Levi’s Sherpa Double Denim Jacket Outfit

Winter Double Denim Style In A Levi’s Sherpa Jacket Winter is so gloomy isn’t it? I feel like these photos capture a pretty true British winter – gritty, dark, miserable looking, wet… what we have grown accustomed too, but it gives a sense of character to the photos. I wonder if our weather is the reason behind why we’re such a miserable nation? Ha ha. This set was shot around new year so literally right in the middle of the cold, but of course it was raining too and this time I didn’t want to wear rain clothes. As much as I love them, it can get tiresome wearing them pretty much everyday thanks to out constant sky shower. Getting to the outfit, I chose to wear my Levi’s Men’s Sherpa Denim Jacket (seen before here) over an ALLSAINTS Roll Neck Jumper that I’ve worn so many times. It’s really thick and warm, so that underneath the thick denim jacket is a combination that kept me nice and toasty. As I love two different shades for double denim, I wore my J Brand Maria Skinny Jeans in Dove as grey and blue are perfect together, then opted for my Sam Edelman Petty Booties. I haven’t worn these in years! I’ve owned them since 2011 (I think) and they are still serving me well. Since it was raining, I wore my Rebecca Mnikoff Mini Mac as I don’t like to wear my designer bags when it’s wet, and then finished it off with my trusty Topshop Scarf. I’ve worn this scarf with almost everything! It’s such a versatile colour. I’m still…

The Wrap Coat And Over The Knee Boots

The Wrap Coat With Over The Knee Boots Outfit Another outfit post and another re-styling of something old. Do any of you remember this Buffalo Wrap Coat in Camel? I styled it before – back in 2014 (I can’t believe it was that long ago!) and I chose to wear it with grey over the knee boots and a hat. To bring it more to the current time, I opted for my Ted & Muffy/DUO Empress Black Over The Knee Boots, my James Jeans in Black, a simple Black Oasis Jumper, finished off with my Celine Nano Luggage in Dune. I thought the location of The Royal Crescent would be ideal for this though as it’s got a great atmosphere. This is the outfit that I wore last Saturday actually as I thought I was well enough to go out, but I later regretted that as I ended up exhausting myself from the walking and needing to use my inhaler because my chest was tight from the left over flu still remaining. It was also freezing, but as I kept sweating I was having issues regulating my temperature. I was fed up of being stuck in though and felt like I really wanted to go get some lunch and shoot outfit photos, so that’s what we did. I have edited out my cold sore though as I always get one after a virus, ha ha. Funnily enough because I had still kept this wrap coat in its box from the first time I wore it, I had actually forgotten about it. I’ve been looking through older photos on my fashion…

Red Boots

The Red Boots Outfit There’s been a little change around with my schedule as things haven’t quite gone to plan this week. I caught a cold/flu on Monday and have been incredibly ill (much like everyone else right now, I know) so I’ve been in bed a lot, suffering the rotten symptoms and have barely been able to work. I did put on Instagram and Twitter that I would be taking a break so I didn’t post for 2 days, and have taken a 4 day break on the blog as well, as resting up and not looking at screens was what had to be done. Thankfully I am feeling well enough to catch up on things and get some work done, but still struggling with even going out or just speaking without irritating my nose and throat. I did have another post planned for publishing yesterday, but I haven’t even been able to make a start on any this week at all, so I’m using older photos. Adam and I actually shot these back in November and I wasn’t going to use them as we started shooting the photos to showcase the boots and once I saw how it looked on the camera, I decided to quit the photo shoot as I was freezing and I just didn’t like how the photos looked, or the outfit in general as the red’s didn’t match either. I think the main issue was the fact that my striped top underneath was blue and I had removed my scarf, so I made the mistake of not realising it would show through and it…

Leopard Faux Fur Coat Outfit

Faux Fur Leopard Coat Outfit Keeping in line with my resolution of wearing my pieces multiple times and re-creating outfits with them, rather than buying everything new this year, this is my second look of 2018 doing just that. Every single item that I’m wearing here is something you have seen before, numerous times for some of them, but styled in a completely different way. The thing I’m enjoying most about this is the fact that it’s saving me money as it’s been really tight the past few months, but it’s also giving a new lease of life to my wardrobe and showing how much versatility some of the items have. Obviously I’m not going to go the entire year without anything new at all though as that’s not possible in this line of work, so I have saved room for about 3 purchases off my wish list, of which I will share with you very soon in a 2018 wish list blog post! Now getting to the actual outfit, I opted to wear my Cupcakes & Cashmere Faux Fur Leopard Coat again (see it here before), this time layering it over my Allsaints Roll Neck Jumper (see it here). It was a tight fit as this coat is slim and the jumper is thick, but it was needed in the freezing temperatures (I’m sure you can spot my pink skin, ha ha). I wanted to go with more of a colourful theme, but in an Autumnal palette, so I chose my 7 For All Mankind Burgundy Skinny Jeans (see here) to tuck into my Sam Edelman Blake Boots, which…

A Fashionable Winter Street Style Outfit

The Zara Shearling Biker Jacket With Thigh High Boots Happy 2018 everyone! I can’t believe it’s the 3rd of January already and it was only Christmas yesterday. It’s crazy! I first want to start out by saying that I hope everyone is safe after all these horrible storms we’re having in the UK. I know a lot of you are without power and have been flooded, so my thoughts are with you all, as they are with those homeless at this time of year. I know you all take time out of your day to read my fashion and lifestyle blog on a regular basis, so just know I’m appreciative of that. I was quite shocked when my views almost doubled on Christmas day, so I’m honoured to know you took your holiday time and caught up on Raindrops of Sapphire. Without you, I wouldn’t have just hit 4 million views, which is outstanding. I never like to come across as bragging or showing off about this kind of stuff, so I rarely mention it, but I wanted to start 2018 off with giving thanks to you all for making this possible! It’s humbling. Anyway, getting to my outfit, and sticking to my new years resolution of re-wearing my pieces and trying not to buy new, I think I’ve managed it! You might remember this Zara Faux Shearling Biker Jacket from a previous post in November and I’m styling it again! This time instead of going with grey skinny jeans and snake print boots, I’ve opted to wear it with my MOTHER Skinny Jeans, tucked into my Ted & Muffy…

Happy Christmas From Lorna Reindeer

Merry Christmas Everyone! It’s Christmas Eve! How did that happen? This week leading up to Christmas has been really fun though. I’ve spent the entire week with Adam (he’s back home with family now) and we’ve done a lot of cool things – one of which I will be sharing with you in my next post after Christmas. Although if you follow me on Instagram (@LornaRaindrops), you can see a preview in my IG stories on my account! That’s if you can’t wait until the 28th! I know the previous years I’ve done Christmas costumes (like Mrs. Claus and an Elf), but this year I decided not to as it’s much too cold and I was trying to limit stress. Instead, I went for something festive and cute! I got these reindeer antlers on a headband from Accessorize a couple of weeks ago in preparation, they are sold out now unfortunately, but they’re adorable! They’re glittery and have little bells on the holly inside the ears. So cute! Now getting to the star of the show, this Christmas jumper! I asked you on IG in a poll if you wanted to see me style it and most of you said yes! It’s an Oasis Fairisle Pink Jumper that I picked up on ASOS and it’s gorgeous! You don’t often see neon pink jumpers with fairisle as they’re always in the Christmas colours, so I love this one! A cashier woman at a shop said she loved it on me too and thought the pink was pretty. It sold out on ASOS within 2 days and now they have a couple…

Double Denim With A Christmas Twist

Levi’s Sherpa Denim Jacket With A Christmas Jumper Can you believe it’s literally just 6 days until Christmas? I can’t. Honestly I think 2017 has been the fastest year for me to date. I don’t know if it’s just because the older I get, the faster it goes, or because I’m living by weekend to weekend and work in the weeks that it just gets ahead of me. Either way though, where did it all go? I’m actually excited for a new year to begin though as 2017 hasn’t been the best for me at all. Even though I know it’s literally just another day like the day before, there’s something inviting and welcoming about 2018 and I’m hoping it’s going to be my year! Anyway, getting to my outfit, as I know that’s what you all want to see, I thought I would do a Christmas jumper look that was different. Instead of making my usual festive jumper the star of the show, I thought I would go for layering instead and choose items from the men’s department as I’m always for unisex clothing if it looks good! I chose to wear this men’s Threadbare Christmas Reindeer Jumper which I paired with my AG The Farrah Ankle Skinny Jeans in 13 Years Daybreak Destroyed (read my review on them here). I absolutely love these jeans as you know from my previous favourite jeans round up! I then layered on my men’s Levi’s Sherpa Trucker Denim Jacket and finished it off with my Sam Edelman Blake Boots. Double denim is something that I gravitate towards as a look all the…

A Brown Balenciaga Mini City Bag Outfit

A Tan Coat Outfit With A Balenciaga Mini City Bag Adam and I shot these photos a few weeks ago when it was absolutely freezing and had just started to snow. That’s why you can see little white flakes on my coat and hat, it’s not dandruff, ha ha. I will confess that I actually had a massive scarf, and some gloves, but I didn’t use them for the photo as they took the attention off of everything due to the overwhelming size, so I suffered the cold for a while instead. I chose to wear my old Tan Topshop Coat over my newer ALLSAINTS Alpha Roll Neck Jumper in Cream. You may remember I have it in Alpaca Brown too (see here) so I ended up getting this colour too. It’s actually one of the only ALLSAINTS knitted tops I can wear since the wool doesn’t irritate me at all, it’s a miracle! I styled this with my Hudson Barbara Jeans, which I tucked into my Sam Edelman Blake Booties. I’ve worn these boots so many times and they are just unbelievably comfortable. I always struggle to find heeled boots that don’t hurt my feet and I can happily walk around town for hours in these. Now getting to my accessories, I chose my Topshop Faux Fur Hat as it’s one of my warmest hats that I own, and now comes the exciting part… My new Balenciaga Mini City Bag in Brown Suede! I’m sure so many of you know that I’ve wanted this bag for the best part of half a year and it’s been featured in my…
