Hunter Coral Wellies Outfit

Hunter Coral Wellies With A Bright Check Scarf I’m doing a little throwback here! Since I ended up shooting so many Autumn photos, I never got around to sharing this set and it got pushed aside in place of my Winter looks! The reason I didn’t share this one sooner though is because I wasn’t sure on it. I absolutely love the combination of bright colours here, but since I don’t really wear much in the way of brights now and my new way of editing photos doesn’t suit Autumn (typically) I couldn’t figure out how to put these to good use. Anyway, I definitely wanted to share as the more I looked at these photos, the more I enjoyed the whole outfit, especially the scarf and wellies paired together. I haven’t used any sort of theme on here, as you can see, I just muted the green of the grass and that’s it, so these photos are pretty much in their natural state here. I was wearing my Hunter Original Tall Wellies in Coral (which you remember from this outfit) and I tucked them into my PAIGE Margot Jeans in Shadow. I chose my Zara Knitted Jumper in Cream to keep a black and white neutral base, then opted for my Joules Checked Scarf as it really complemented the coral in the rain boots. It’s such a gorgeous scarf, isn’t it? The only thing is, when you wrap it around, the bright shades vanish a lot as they get hidden in the tuck, so does anyone know how to wear a square scarf like this and have the middle…

Golden Hour Sunsets In The Snow

A Golden Hour Photoshoot In The Snow Happy Monday everyone! The days just seem to fly by and we’ve already gone mid way through February, it’s madness. As I mentioned in my previous Valentine’s Day outfit, Adam and I had simple and easy plans to celebrate, and that’s what we did. As always with me though, it didn’t turn out quite as we hoped, ha ha. I had woken up with a migraine so had to take Nurofen Plus, which gives me stomach ache. We were almost late to our booking at Cosy Club, the food had issues as the waitress had tipped my chips all over the table and in my drink, then the mayonnaise was full of water. It was quite awkward, but oddly the food this time gave us both stomach ache, which doesn’t usually happen, so walking around town to walk that off was interesting, then my headache started coming back so I needed more Nurofen. We headed into a few shops, went to Swoon the gelato shop like we wanted, browsed the furniture, then went to the pet shop to get some nuts, however the pet shop was not there… Apparently it’s closed now, so we were walking about trying to get nuts to feed the animals at the park. We eventually found some, and then arrived at the park near dusk so almost all the animals had gone to bed, ha ha. We managed to see two squirrels though and a couple of magpies, but we scattered some nuts all around anyway for the morning when they wake up. By the evening at home,…

A Classic British Winter With Rockfish Wellies

A Very Wet British Winter In Wellies Where would we be if it wasn’t raining? It’s been constant lately with the storms and the wind, but surprisingly fairly warm for mid December. We shot these photos last weekend and luckily enough, as I wanted to wear my new Rockfish Wellies in Navy Gloss, it was raining, which made it the perfect outfit! I wore my wellies with my PAIGE Margot Skinny Jeans and a JOULES Eastleigh Gilet in Navy, to keep with the blue theme, but I wanted a pop of colour so wore my JOULES Burgundy Jumper too, which complemented my Lulu Guinness Umbrella! As you know, I am a huge fan of Rockfish and I’ve been wearing their wellies for years (see here, here and here for some examples) and I own 3 pairs now! I actually prefer the brand to Hunter, despite me having more pairs of those, purely because of the comfort level. I always find Rockfish like walking on sponges as they’re so easy to wear, and the Navy Gloss shade is stunning! Which is why I have teamed up with Rockfish to bring you a new giveaway below! They might be my favourite pair that I own for classics! In the meantime, let me know what you think of this outfit in the comments below and tell me how you’re braving the rain! Lorna xx. WIN A FREE PAIR OF ROCKFISH RAIN BOOTS – WOMEN & MEN! You can WIN a FREE pair of these Rockfish Rain Boots! You can choose Navy Gloss like me, or you can opt for any colour they have…

Ruby Red Rain Boots

Ruby Red Rain Boots Is it wrong that I’m feeling festive early? I’ve already started watching Christmas movies over the last couple of weeks and I’m already feeling all of this years decorations that are up in town. I can’t wait to go ice skating either, and even though there’s still lots of Autumn leaves around as it’s not yet Winter, I thought I would bring out some bright red and get in the festive spirit already! I was wearing a chunky red Zara knitted jumper which I paired with my PAIGE Margot skinny jeans, and then tucked them into my Rockfish wellies in Samba Red. I’m sure a lot of you remember these rain boots from my blog post last year, where I also hosted a competition for you, so I thought it was about time that I brought them back out again in an outfit as it’s the perfect time for pretty walks. I didn’t even plan this outfit either, but it just so happened to be the perfect shade of red to match the wellies – it was meant to be! I know I have said it before, but when it comes to wellies, I really do find Rockfish the most comfortable, and they currently have up to 60% off right now, which is better than the 20% that Hunter is offering on a select few wellies. So even though I own more Hunter boots, Rockfish are definitely my go to and a few of my friends have said the same thing. With that in mind, stay tuned for something exciting I have coming up in a…

A Simple Rain Outfit With Stutterheim & Hunter Boots

A Simple Rain Outfit With Stutterheim & Hunter Boots Everything was against us when we were shooting these photos. Despite me absolutely loving the rain and enjoying puddle splashing, doing photos is incredibly difficult! This day was literally torrential rain for the first half of the afternoon as Adam and I had gone to lunch with my dad, but as the hours went by, it slowly started to get less, meaning we could attempt photos. Really poor lighting was upon us though, my hair was a mess… but I didn’t let it stop me. I wanted to be able to share this rainwear outfit you and that I was determined to do, so these are the photos we have! You might have seen some funny IG stories on the Sunday too of me skipping and twirling in the rain, ha ha, but let me tell you what I decided to wear. I had bought this Stutterheim Stockholm Raincoat in Potato last month I think it was, as I had got it in the sale and for an amazing price, and since then, I have been waiting to wear it, but with the heatwave we were having, it just hadn’t happened. So when I saw that Sunday was heavy rain, I knew I wanted to wear it and decided to plan this outfit around it. I kept things neutral since the Potato shade is an earthy, cool toned beige, so I wore my PAIGE Margot Skinny Jeans and a simple brown jumper from Oasis (it’s old). I then opted for my Hunter Original Tall Wellies in Cocoa Gloss as I thought…

Summer Raincoat Style

The Clear Raincoat With Ankle Rain Boots It’s been a little while since I shared any rainwear outfits with you, for obvious reasons, but I’ve been keeping these photos in stock for a little while! This is the outfit that I wore in June when it was showering off and on all day, but it was too hot for full wellies or a thick coat, so I thought I would go for a summer raincoat style instead! I’m glad that it’s been raining more lately, I even have a brand new raincoat to share with you soon when it cools down, so stay tuned for that! This clear raincoat is from Zara and I actually bought it in the winter time, around Christmas, and kept it for the warmer months. It’s got a milkiness to it so it’s not entirely see though, but what attracted me to it was the red, yellow and blue piping on the edges. I think it makes it so unique and cool, giving it more of a luxurious feel when it was actually super cheap! It folds up super small so it’s a coat I take out with me often as it’s so lightweight. I even took it to Lyme Regis! I decided to style my Zara raincoat with my Topshop grey skinny jeans and a black GAP top to make a comfortable and casual base. Then, as I needed waterproof footwear, I opted for my Hunter Refined Chelsea Boots in Slate. You have seen these a couple of times before (here and here) and they’re one of my favourite pairs of wellies to wear…

A Bit Of Sparkle On A Country Walk

Autumn Country Walks With Glitter Wellies First of all I wanted to say thank you for all of the love and support you have shown me for my blog’s 8th birthday post that I wrote a few days ago. You are all too kind! If you missed it, you can see it by clicking here. Now getting to this outfit post, I’m sure you can tell we shot these photos back in Autumn and I’ve been keeping them in storage since then as I decided to take a few photos on a whim and didn’t know if I intended to share them or not. Since I’ve pretty much run out of outfits now, they’re being shared! I know a lot of you will appreciate them since you do like my country style outfits, especially if they contain rainwear or wellies, so I hope you like these! Plus, it’s nice to have the jewel tones of Autumn coming to life again before we hit the blush tones of Spring! For this outfit, I was wearing my Joules Burgundy Gilet (it’s reversible and has a floral inside, but that isn’t really suited to my tastes which is why I wear it on the burgundy side) which I layered over my Joules Chenelle Jumper. I absolutely love these as they’re like a cosy flannel material and so warm! I then wore my Hudson Barbara Skinny Jeans which I have been wearing a lot lately for comfort, and tucked them into my Hunter Starcloud Wellies in Neptune. I’m sure you remember these from my Hunter Glitter Wellies post that I did last year! Aren’t…

How To Wear Rain Boots Fashionably

Hunter Chelsea Rain Boots With Skinny Jeans Outfit I’m sure by now, after seeing so many rainy photos quite often, you’re beginning to understand why I have a larger selection of wellies than most people. I would say I spend about 50% of the time in some sort of rain boot and a rain coat thanks to the UK and its amazing weather. One of my favourite pairs that I have grown to love are these Chelsea Boots from Hunter Boots and they’re perfect for so many things! Because they’re only ankle length and akin to an actual ankle boot, they’re extremely versatile and wearable. Sometimes my tall wellies can be quite cumbersome and get in the way of certain things, so these are just perfect for errands and walking around while keeping my feet completely dry! I honestly can’t recommend them enough if you live in a rainy climate too. I decided to wear them this time with my Topshop Jamie Grey Skinny Jeans and my Zara Faux Aviator Coat. You’ve seen this coat twice (here and here) and I still love it so much! I’d go as far as to say it’s my favourite coat this season entirely! It just goes with everything and is actually really warm and flattering, so it’s ideal! I layered it over my GAP Roll Neck Jumper in Burgundy and matched that to my Urban Outfitters Gloves in the same shade. When it comes to skinny jeans, I usually only opt for premium pairs as I love how they fit, the washes, the quality etc, but I have worn this pair from Topshop…
