A Red Floral Playsuit With A Gucci Velvet Bag

A H&M Red Floral Playsuit With A Gucci Marmont Bag I bought this H&M Red Floral Playsuit (buy it here) on a whim last week and I wasn’t sure on it at first, actually anticipating returning it as it felt quite floaty, but knowing what I’m like, I left it a couple of days and then tried it again. Low and behold, I loved it and decided to keep it. Does anyone else get like that? Some days you don’t feel connected to an item, then another day you’re obsessed with it? I mean I love this playsuit so much that I’ve actually worn it for 4 days in a row now! This is the first look I created to show you, and there’s a similar one coming soon as well. Can you believe it’s only £12.99 and I had 10% off as well, so that’s a win to me! I did originally want the black floral one, but it was sold out in my size UK 10 unfortunately, but I’m over the moon with this one! Given that the weather has been so hot and humid, it’s been a dream to wear for keeping me cool. I literally love it! I decided to style this playsuit with a H&M Fine Knit Cardigan in Black (buy it here) which I got at the same time (this is only £8.99 – wow) and I love this too! It’s really light weight and comfortable, so I ordered another one in blush pink as well. I’m feeling a lot of the easy wearing pieces at the moment from H&M, everything is so cute!…

Vintage Purple Floral Dress In The Summer

Vintage Purple Floral Dress In The Summer The past 5 days or so have been crazy! Where did the summer go? I know some of you here in the UK have had awful flooding from the severe thunderstorms we were all having, so I hope you’re all ok! Luckily here it didn’t flood, just bad storms. As us Brits always talk about the weather, I’m sure a lot of us are being skeptical and thinking that the summer has now gone, ha ha. I’m just lucky Adam and I managed to get a few good days of sun while we were in Lyme Regis! Speaking of which, the blog post with the photos will be coming up on Friday! Now getting to my outfit, you have seen this dress twice before (here and here) and it’s one that I often reach for in the hot weather. It’s a Vintage Urban Renewal Dress and the cotton is so lightweight that it’s just completely breathable and lovely. It’s a joy to wear when you’re sweating, ha ha. I styled it with my Schutz Rashne Double Strap Sandals (which I included in my recent shoe roundup), my Celine Mini Belt Bag in Clay, my Superdry Sunglasses (I’m sure you can tell I love them right now) and my Swarovski Crystal Dust Bracelet. I’m glad that when I actually bought this dress back in 2014 (I know, I was shocked I have had it 4 years!) it was a little loose because it still fits me with the small weight gain that’s happened over the last year. It’s one of those pieces that I…

A Floral Summer Dress With A Celine Belt Bag

A Yumi Floral Dress With A Celine Belt Bag I’m so pleased to be able to share with you more summer photos! These were shot a couple of weeks ago when we had the heatwave as now it’s gone quite cold again unfortunately. I do still have another look to show you though which was taken in the glorious sunshine! That will be going live in just under a week, so stay tuned for that. While I’m typing this, I’m in the middle of packing for my trip away with Adam. We booked a late May short break away to celebrate our 10 year anniversary last month and it’s to a place we have never been, so I am hoping it’s fun! I will be sharing photos from the trip at some point, but it’s not a working trip so I’m not sure what I will be doing when I’m there. My aim is to take an actual holiday for 3 days and not worry about any work, but we will see as that never usually goes to plan, ha ha. For this outfit, you might remember this Yumi Floral Dress as I got it on holiday in St. Ives two years ago! Do you recognise the print? We shot the photos last time on the beach (see here) and I thought it would be nice to wear it again as it holds so many lovely memories – it was the holiday where Adam proposed to me. I decided to pair this Yumi Dress with my RAYE Sandals and then finish it off with my Superdry Sunglasses, my Celine Belt…

A Black Summer Playsuit

A Floral Black Playsuit For Summer Can you believe the weather we had last weekend? It was so hot! It reached 28C here in Bath and that’s a temperature that us Brits are not used to, ha ha. It definitely made a change though and it was nice to actually go out in little clothing, finally getting to wear the summer clothes I had anticipated wearing for a while. As I’m usually re-wearing the pieces that I own in my wardrobe, I don’t actually own that many summer clothes as we only get about 1 month of the year for it, so I am showcasing a brand new look with all new pieces for you here! I was wearing most of the pieces from Superdry, like this Smocked Ruffle Playsuit as I adore the little rose print and the ruffled shoulder detailing, which I styled with these easy Pool Sliders and these pretty Cassie Sunglasses. I’ve been wearing these sunglasses all weekend actually as I love them! I did opt to have my Riot Biker Jacket as well for the outfit, but as it was too hot, I only layered it over the shoulders for a couple of photos to showcase how you can take this from day to evening. It’s a faux leather and the painted elements on the back, as well as the little patches on the arms, are really cool! Then for my accessories, I went with my Celine Micro Belt Bag in Clay and my new Swarovski Crystal Dust Bracelet. I haven’t yet done the review of this bag as I’m waiting a while at the…

Back To The End Of Summer Outfit

Skinny Jeans And A Simple Roll Neck Jumper Can you believe it’s almost February? I’m losing track of how fast everything is literally going, especially when I shot a lot of outfit photos in advance to prepare for the awful winter I was expecting us to have here in the UK. I’m glad I did as I’ve had one outfit in particular planned for about 3-4 weeks and haven’t been able to wear it at all due to the rain, freezing temperatures and wind. It’s made photoshoots increasingly difficult! I have one here that we shot around the end of summer/early autumn though and I’m finally sharing it with you as I prepare for the warmer weather. I know I said I didn’t like summer because it gets too hot, but at the moment I am grateful for any amount of heat that we might get anytime soon – please! Ha ha. For this outfit I chose to wear my AG The Farrah Ankle Skinny Jeans in 13 Years Daybreak Destroyed (you’ve seen them before here and they’re on sale!) and styled them with my Topshop Roll Neck Top (seen here and here). This was a combination that I actually threw together after I’d worn the tapestry dress in a previous shoot, and I liked how it looked! I finished it off with my Jimmy Choo Melba Booties and my Mulberry Lily Bag in Oak. Again, all of these items are pieces I have worn numerous times and the jeans and top are two of my favourites in my closet, so I’m sticking to my re-wearing rule quite nicely at…

A Vegetable Print Shirt At The Circus

If you have ever been to the City of Bath, you will know that it’s got the most beautiful architecture. It’s one of a few world heritage cities left and the architecture is mostly Georgian, meaning the intricate detailing on the buildings is exquisite. Rather than using a lot of the same locations, I thought I would change it up a bit and head to The Circus, which is a famous circle of buildings with a grass island in the middle that holds trees (see here and here). It’s rather similar to the Royal Crescent and isn’t too far away (just a street between them) from it in terms of location, so it might look familiar in some way, but completely different in others. Most of the buildings now are used for offices or surgery’s, so it’s not quite as fancy as it used to be, and of course there are no regular horse and carts going up and down the once cobblestone road, but… it’s still absolutely gorgeous and underrated in my opinion. Now I could go on and on about my city and how lucky I am to live in Bath among such heritage that people travel across the globe to see, but I am hoping to include more of that within each outfit post that I do from now on, as long as the location is worthy of mentioning (by that I mean not just a brick wall). So, given my dislike of crowds and lots of tourists, I am going to try and do my shoot locations in areas that have a story and history to…

A Rockstud Dressed In Black

Do you remember these shoes? I got these Valentino Rockstud Heels in Red and Black in January 2016 after lusting over them for so many months. It turns out though that due to the slingback and the really high, thin heel, I ended up not wearing them much at all, which was a shame. Since these shoes are literally a work of art though and are just amazing to look at, I decided that I need to wear them a lot more than I do and learn to walk in them properly. That is how this outfit came about! I’m very much into quirky shirts and skinny jeans, but it’s been a long while since I actually wore a blazer and now that the weather is cooling down, I can bring all my jackets out! This beautiful blazer is the REISS Venn Black Blazer (I also own it in white) which has a boyfriend, slouchy fit to it and an open front with no button fastening – making it more of a casual blazer. Given that it’s black though, it really does give it a sense of elegance and class so it’s suitable for any black tie functions, or dinners out. I layered it over the REISS Fi Gold Silk Tank Top to keep it smart, but also because the gold plays off the studs on the shoes and the buckle of my Gucci GG Belt, which I thought just tied everything together nicely and finished off my GRLFRND Candice Skinny Jeans perfectly. There’s something about these jeans that I just can’t get enough of, as I’m sure you are…

The Lazy Way To Shirt Under Jumper

The Shirt Underneath The Jumper Outfit The classic white shirt underneath a smart jumper/sweater has been a look that I have favoured for years. It’s always been one that never really worked that well for me though and that’s mostly due to having a larger chest so the shirt wouldn’t button all the way to the top, or feeling really uncomfortable and restricted in that kind of layering. When I saw this Oasis Grey Jumper Over Shirt combination though, I thought it was perfect! I actually bought it back in April or May after contemplating it, and it just so happened to fit perfectly, have a great length, and is actually really flattering as well as comfortable. It’s basically just a lightweight grey knitted jumper with a white collar and shirt tails sewn into it, so it’s just one top, creating the illusion that it’s two. Ideal right? That’s why I’ve called it the lazy way! Since this jumper and shirt situation is smart, I wanted to style it in a dressed up way, but with a little bit of a casual element so it doesn’t look like I’m headed to the office. I chose my PAIGE Hoxton Crop Skinny Jeans in Evenlina (they’re super comfortable!) and then opted for my RAYE Grey Heels, to complement the jumper. I didn’t know which route to take with my accessories, so Adam suggest the Chanel Wallet on Chain, however I was hesitant at first as I thought I wanted some colour, but it turns out the only colour I needed was the blue from the jeans and that was just right. I…
