Roses Upon My Leather Jacket

Roses on my leather motor bike jacket with skinny jeans I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I said I would share my outfit that I wore in my blogs birthday video with you soon and here it is! This is the exact look that I was wearing in this video as we shot the photos after we had finished filming. It’s probably more of a classic look for me, with a bit of a twist since I was wearing a roses and jewel print leather jacket from ASOS instead of a plain black one! I actually got this jacket a few months ago with a discount code and I couldn’t love it more, it’s just go gorgeous in person and I love the print on it. It is a faux leather though, so it’s price and animal friendly. I layered it over a simple grey tee and paired it with my AG Raw Hem Legging Jeans (buy similar jeans here at Debenhams) and my Topshop Gabbi Heels, finished with a gold tooth shape necklace from Boohoo. I would love to know what you think of this outfit, so definitely leave me a comment below! (Jeans – Exact & Similar, Jacket – Exact, Top – Exact, Shoes – Similar, Necklace – Similar)

Doubling Up On Floral Print With George

The floral top with the floral trousers… You saw me style the skirt and blazer two piece from George at Asda a little while ago, but here is the second look. I’m doubling up on floral prints to get Spring ready! Both the trousers and top are made from a soft and stretchy neoprene material, so they are incredibly comfortable, but not only that, I think they are really nicely designed too. I’ve not done a double floral print before and I think it’s really appropriate for Spring! I ended up loving it. I think I do prefer the first out more, marginally, but this one does come close! So, I was wearing the purple floral scuba trousers, paired with the white floral top and my nude heels from Kelya Shoes. I wanted to add a little more colour to the look, so I chose my Lilac Rececca Minkoff Mini Mac bag and then finished it off with some pearl bracelets. You wouldn’t believe that both of these pieces are under £10 would you? I was shocked when I found out! I’ve noticed a few other fashion bloggers wearing a look like this too, like Catherine from Not Dressed As Lamb. I think it means it’s a really universal and versatile outfit that suits a lot of women! Anyway, thank you for your continued support of my blog and enjoying my post for my 5th anniversary birthday, I can’t believe how much time flies! It would be great to know what you think of this outfit, so please do leave a comment and tell me, plus you can shop the…

Styling My Mum For Mother’s Day #GlamYourMum

Styling my mum for Mother’s Day! For us over here in the UK, it’s Mother’s Day coming up this Sunday (15th March), so I was really excited to team up with the brand Kaleidoscope and their #GlamYourMum campaign! This means getting to choose an outfit to style my mum in for the special day, which she definitely deserves as she supports me all the time. Together we chose this blue leather biker jacket to go with this orange sleeveless zip blouse, both contrasting colours and opposite sides of the colour wheel, but they work so well together. These were the two items we selected within the budget and the GAP jeans are her own, paired with my boots and then finished with some beautiful sunflowers! I’m really proud of my mum for losing a lot of weight recently and coping with the health issues that she has, I know it’s not easy for her to do a photo shoot, as it wasn’t back in 2013, but she did a lot better with this one and we got to shoot the photos in the Botanical Gardens too on Saturday before making my video. What do you think of her outfit? And now it’s Competition Time! If your mum is special to you and you want the chance to give her a Kaleidoscope outfit, you can take part in this really cool contest with Kaleidoscope too! All you have to do is follow @LornaRaindrops and @Kaleidoscope_UK on Instagram and then post an image of your deserving Mum, tagging @LornaRaindrops and @Kaleidoscope_UK with the hashtag #GlamYourMum. It’s really simple! The competition will run…

Classics & Florals Down By The River

Black tuxedo skinny jeans with a floral shirt and white blazer… I hope all of you are doing well! I’m really excited that it’s supposed to be warming up this weekend which means I might not actually be freezing my butt off while doing an outfit shoot! We were scouting around for some new locations for this one and we found this gorgeous lock area down by the river. A boat was actually coming through the lock at the time though, so we had to wait for that to pass through. It really is such a beautiful setting! I was wearing this gorgeous floral silky top from Ted Baker which I paired with these AG Contour Tuxedo Black Jeans, both of which I chose from Repertoire to style together. As it’s colder though, I had to layer my Zara White Blazer on top, to give some warmth and structure to the look. I finally paired the pieces with my Topshop Black Gabbi Heels and my Cambridge Satchel Red Push Lock Bag. I felt adding the red to my outfit just gave it a bit of a colour pop which it was lacking with the muted black and white tones and water colour shades of the flowers. It’s definitely more of a classic look, but one that I think works for anytime of the day with the floral patterns on the shirt. I would love to know what you fashion bloggers and readers think of it? Comment and let me know! (Jeans – Exact & Similar, Top – Exact & Similar, Jacket – Similar, Shoes – Similar, Bag – Exact)

The Roll Neck Sweater

The roll neck sweater with skinny jeans and Louboutin Pigalle heels… Roll neck sweaters have been a style that I’ve wanted to try for absolutely ages. I used to wear them as a child, but finding one which meets my requirements as an adult has been challenging for years. I can’t wear wool or mohair as it gives me a rash, so that eliminated about 80% of the sweaters I’ve had to try over the months and others were too thick and chunky, which for a bigger chested girl just doesn’t work at all without making you look huge and frumpy. I wasn’t really into the tight fitting ones that you can get either as I found them too smart, I wanted something casual and cosy. Then, I found this gorgeous roll neck jumper from River Island! I completely fell in love with it when I saw it and I thought it looked perfect! It has no itchy fibers whatsoever and it has a longer slouchy fit, to look cosy, all while the material looks soft and warm, while still being thin, so all in all, it’s the perfect sweater and definitely worth the months of searching for! This is definitely not a purchase I regret making and I know it’s something I’m going to be wearing time and time again! If you are interested in the fit of it, it does run true to size, I took my usual UK 6 size in it and it fits me well. I even think the little zippers on the side are really pretty, they are functioning too if you should wish…

The Duster Coat, A Cropped Top & High Rise Skinny Jeans

A cropped top with high rise skinny jeans and a duster coat I’ve had quite a productive week so far. I’ve spent some time with my nan and grandad who I haven’t seen in a little while and as she’s one of my biggest career supporters, I always leave her house feeling inspired and happy. I find in life that not many people actually know what a blog is if they are from an older generation, so explaining what I do can be quite tricky (I usually just say I’m a writer/editor/model) as it’s easier to explain, but my nan couldn’t be more excited about what I do. She loves to make me go through my blogs pages, since my last visit, so she can see what I’ve been wearing and doing. I would love to know who some of your biggest supporters are? Family means a lot to me, but it’s not often that I talk about such personal things, so I thought it might be nice. I’ve also been cleaning up my room, my clothes and everything else over the last few days. Making a lot of space as my room was starting to look like a junkyard. I don’t know how I end up making things a mess constantly, but I just do. I can tidy something up to be spotless and then within a couple of weeks, it’s messy again. As of now though, I am trying to keep my room really tidy and organised so I can actually find my clothes and not end up buying double of the same item! Do you have any…

Sleek Sudio Headphones & A Bullet Necklace

There’s one thing that many of us fashion bloggers have in common, and that’s trying to make sure everything we wear and choose looks really fashionable, sleek, pretty and well matched. I’ve noticed that finding electronics to meet this criteria is actually somewhat hard, a lot harder than I had thought actually. I usually end up with some unsightly plugs and gadgets or a massive pair of headphones. I recently found out about Sudio though just before Christmas and I completely fell in love with the brand. Sudio are a Swedish born headphones company, but dedicated to making headphones that look sleek, fashionable and pretty all while creating great sound. I have the white and gold pair here and as you can see, they are really nice to look at and the sound when listening to music is great! I usually get sore ears after listening for a little while with ear buds, but these are designed in a great way so my ears stay comfortable, which is a huge bonus for me! One thing that I did find really cool though was how they got their name. One of the founders spotted the musician Phil Collins (who I love) in New York having problems with his headphones, similar to his own issues, so the name Sudio is an homage to Phil Collins song Sussudio and the determination of succeeding with the venture rendered from the bitter sweet anecdote. I’m always really passionate about products that I love, as you probably already know, so in light of this, I’m going to be doing a giveaway for a pair of these…

The Printed Two Piece

Thank you to everyone for your support and enthusiasm about my new layout and the changes made to my fashion blog, it truly means a lot to me! I am really excited to be sharing this post with you though as it’s something entirely different for me, but I feel like it fits my personality at the same time. I’ve teamed up with George at Asda to showcase some of their brand new Spring Summer 2015 looks and one of the sets that I completely fell in love with was this jacquard two piece skirt and blazer set. I have to admit that I never really put George on my radar when it came to fashion much, but this season they seem to have really expanded their styles and designs, creating gorgeous fashionable pieces for such an affordable price! Since the matching blazer and skirt combination can look quite mature and professional, to give it more of a younger feel, I paired it with this burgundy Topshop crop top and my Christian Louboutin Pigalle in Black. I think the shortness of my top really implies that it’s a younger outfit and it has some quirk to it, which is important to me as I didn’t want to look too stuffy. Then for my accessories, I chose my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Deer Brown, some random bracelets and my custom Ammunition Jewelry bullet necklace, but I will share that more in depth with you soon! Even though this is something completely out of my comfort zone and not very ‘Lorna’ in terms of style, it actually turned out to be one…
