The Knitted Maxi Skirt Outfit

A Knitted Maxi Skirt With Snake Boots I didn’t mean to take a full week off again, but life has been crazy the last week! I was in Bristol from Thursday to Sunday for a lot of Autumn shoots with Adam, then on Monday I was invited to the Last Christmas UK premiere in London, and a VIP Christmas lights switch on with Emma Thompson and Emilia Clarke on Tuesday. I got back super late on Tuesday night, rested a lot on Wednesday and caught up with a few things, and now today I’m back doing work. I plan on doing an update post on all of it with photos very soon, but for those of you who are interested, you can check out my highlight on Instagram (click here) to see all the videos! This outfit is a look I wore to Bristol and we shot these photos in Queen Square, which is a really beautiful park area with lots of pretty buildings all around. It was pretty chilly, but not cold enough that I couldn’t wear a skirt and I had been wanting to wear my new The Mia Midi Skirt by L’Academie, which was gifted by Revolve Clothing, as it’s such a beautiful stretch knit, with a thicker material, so it’s perfect for the cooler weather, despite the split up the side. I wanted to make this outfit perfect for Autumn, which is why I styled the skirt with my Zara Knit in Cream, then finished it off with my Topshop Snake Print Boots and my brand new Celine Nano Luggage in Glazed Nut that I got…

Allsaints Elva Leather Jacket Review

Allsaints Elva Leather Jacket Review I thought I would turn this blog post into a review actually because I got this brand new Allsaints Elva Leather Jacket and am totally obsessed with it. This is the first time I wore it in these photos and I paired it with a Topshop Knit, my L’AGENCE Margot Jeans in Slate, and my Golden Goose Sneakers. It’s a very casual outfit and I love how easy to wear it is, but because of the fit of everything, it’s very put together and styled at the same time. Anyway, I hope you like this outfit, do let me know! And tell me what you think of this jacket too! Lorna xx. The Design: The design of the Elva is actually my new favourite from Allsaints. It’s a hybrid between their two best sellers, the Dalby (which is my other favourite, see my review here) and their Balfern (see my review here). As you can see from the photos, it’s so perfect! The zip detailing on the sleeves, and the two side pockets, make it a no fuss detail leather jacket, with black rivets, and I’m obsessed with that. It fits like a dream too. The cut as you can see is a little longer, so it hits just below the top of the hip bones, which I love, and it flares out a bit with more of a straight cut. I think this makes it really edgy and more rock inspired, and that’s why it has quickly become my new favourite! The Sizing: I would say the Elva runs true to size, if not…

A Country Girl Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I hadn’t given any of you a preview of my Halloween costume this year (see my previous costumes here), and I was really excited because I absolutely adore country and Western, so doing a cowgirl seemed extremely fitting! I was even more excited that Adam got involved this year and joined me as a cowboy, which you can see below! The best part about this costume was that I put it together out of pieces I already had in my closet! I was wearing my Vintage Levi’s 501 Cut Off Denim Shorts, paired with my Gucci GG Belt (fashionable cowgirl, ha ha) and worn with my Topshop Snake Print Boots. For the shirt, I got this Superdry Bailey Shirt in Yellow, and finished it off with my Brixton Hat and some freckles! Adam’s required a little more props as he got a holster and a toy gun, as well as a bandana! We shot these photos in the little village nearby as there’s a perfect gate and scenery for this type of outfit. A few passers by came over to see what was going on and asked what it was for, even said we needed a horse, ha ha. I really enjoyed this shoot though, and I get excited every year for Halloween costume time! I would happily wear this outfit on a regular day though if the shorts were a little longer! That’s how much I love the Western vibe! What do you think? What’s your costume? Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.

The Scarlet Teddy Coat With Boots

The Reiss Scarlet Teddy Coat With Boots I get excited to write a blog post when I have a story to tell you about the item I’m wearing. That’s the case with this coat here! This is the Reiss Scarlet Teddy Coat in Grey and I originally fell in love with it in the store, on a whim after I had gone in to look for a pink coat I’d seen online. I saw this one hanging on the rail and thought it looked really pretty. They had a UK 4, which is two sizes smaller than my regular size UK 8, but as it was oversized, I tried it anyway, and absolutely loved how it looked! I wore it over a dress back in August in the changing room and was obsessed! It was a bit expensive so I left the store, but had thought about it all the time. I went back in a couple of weeks later and tried a UK 6 as the 4 was gone, but the 6 was just too big as I didn’t want it massive. As luck would have it, a couple of weekends ago they had a 10% off weekend and I had already got a £40 voucher from last year, so I ordered this Reiss Scarlet coat online and was really happy with the discount. I love it when something works out like that and I get a really good deal! So this is the outfit that I wore my new coat with, I’d planned to layer it over my Topman Sweater, paired with my new L’AGENCE Margot Jeans in…

Snakes And Cowboys

Snake Print Boots With A Western Vibe On this particular day that we shot these photos, you can’t really tell from the pictures, but it was really bad weather! It was on and off raining, the wind was constantly blowing so I was permanently holding onto my hat, and the light was bad. It’s frustrating on days like this when you have a shoot planned, but we persevered with it and found some shelter by the Bath Spa to take photos. I thought these pillars were actually a really beautiful backdrop for this look though, so that turned out lucky! I did have a cardigan with me for the chill as we walked around town (you can see a slow motion walk of this outfit here, under the slow mo highlight) but I liked the outfit better without it for the photos! Speaking of my outfit, I was wearing a knitted tie front dress by Topshop in Black, which is actually really affordable as it was only £25 (I also own it in cream) and I paired it with my Topshop Snake Boots too! These are a faux snake printed leather, and actually incredibly comfortable. I’m really into the Western cowboy boot look at the moment, literally in love with it. These boots are currently on sale too with 20% off, so take advantage of that! I finished this look off with my Brixton Hat, to add to the Western vibe a bit more. I went without a bag for the outfit as the one I ordered (this one) hadn’t arrived yet, but I’m planning on wearing these boots again…

Western Rock Inspired

A Western Rock Inspired Outfit Happy Monday! First of all, I wanted to say thank you to you for the love and support on my last collaboration with Lily Arkwright as I was really proud of that one, and to know you guys loved it too, that means a lot! This weekend has been quite interesting with some shoots that Adam and I got done, for both of us, which I am excited to share with you soon! I just can’t wait for the leaves to turn orange and the parks to be in full glow, it’s going to be the perfect backdrop for photos! Speaking of that, we headed to Bristol to shoot these photos a couple of weeks ago when it was a bit warmer than it currently is now. We took them down by the River Avon which is just outside the Temple Meads train station as they had some beautiful red brick and scenery. It’s a totally different atmosphere to doing photos here in Bath as the location is such a contrast to the yellow Bath stone. We definitely plan to do more shoots in Bristol going forward actually! Anyway, for my outfit here, I was wearing a Cupcakes & Cashmere floral printed cami top, which I love as it’s such a dark design – perfect for Autumn, and I paired it with my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite again. I know, I pretty much do live in these jeans, but I did just get a new pair in grey! I wrapped my B-Low The Belt belt around the middle to give it a little…

How To Dress Up Snake Print Boots

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you’re all well! Can’t believe the weekend is here already so soon. I’m off on holiday in about 2 weeks and I can’t wait! It’s gonna be a busy time for me over the next couple of weeks actually, but I will keep you all updated on Instagram like I usually do in my stories! Anyway, getting to these photos, we shot them in the Royal Crescent here in Bath, and it had just started to rain, as usual, so you might be spotting a couple of spots of rain in the air, ha ha. I was wearing something a little smarter and classier for this outfit, but still suitable for daytime wear. I paired my brown L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans (yep, they aren’t black!) with a Mango Satin Shirt in Cream, with my Louis Vuitton Reversible Monogram Belt around the middle. I do class the bralette underneath as part of the outfit as well and that’s also from Mango (it’s this one) and I love it. For my shoes, I went with my DUO Snake Print Boots that I got a couple of years ago, and finished it off with my Mulberry Small Darley Bag in Oak. I really love shirts, jeans and boots outfits, or paired with blazers too when it’s a little cooler, and I’m sure that most of you long time readers will know that that has been a signature look of mine for many, many years, so I’m hoping to incorporate it a bit more in my Autumnal style outfits coming up over the next couple of months! Anyway, I…

The Teddy Bomber Jacket With A Dress

Allsaints Suede Bomber Jacket Over A Floral Dress Outfit First of all, I hope you’re having a lovely week. I’m on a very important photoshoot today, which I will be sharing with you soon, but it’s probably one of my most exciting ones to date! I’m doing ok, I have been a little unwell lately, and I have also been doing quite a few different things, but I’m good. Getting to this post though, can you believe that these photos were actually shot in Bath? I know we have these rules about only being allowed to have Bath Stone (which is that yellow shade you always see in my pictures), but we found this old red brick area down by the river a couple of weekends ago and it made the ideal backdrop for this outfit. I absolutely love how this turned out! So, I was wearing my Allsaints Keiko Bomber Jacket in Black which I layered over my The East Order Black Floral Dress, finished off with my Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers. I absolutely adore this jacket and I’m so glad that I picked it up in the sale a few weeks ago because it’s amazing! I sized up to a UK 12 in it as it runs small and I wanted more of a looser fit, and it does a really good job of filling my need for the ever amazing Saint Laurent Teddy Jacket that I was obsessed with for ages, but with the £1400 price tag, couldn’t afford, so this is the next best thing! Now getting to the dress, I hadn’t heard of The East…
