An Early Christmas In London

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was taking a few days off from work and blogging to have a break. Adam and I took a trip to London from Wednesday until today, to spend an early Christmas together since we don’t get to spend the actual day with each other. We stayed in The Cumberland Hotel which is just off of Oxford Street and we had two and a half days worth of shopping time and exploring the Christmas lights. We didn’t worry about seeing Big Ben, the London Eye or Buckingham Palace again, we have seen the sights numerous times, so this time we just concentrated on buying the things we wanted in the sales and enjoying Christmas a little early! I even got to meet Santa (yes, he was the real one!) in Selfridges which excited me! It took me back to being a kid again! We ate in the hotels Brasserie, Prezzo and Wagamama, as well as getting our usual snack pieces from Marks & Spencers. It was really nice exploring all of the shops and this time actually doing more shopping for Adam than myself. I only picked up a couple of things in Topshop, a jumper in the sale at Diesel and some chocolate from Liberty. Adam was lucky enough to find a pair of his Bottega Veneta moccasin shoes at half price in the boutique and pick up a jumper in Gap, among a couple of other things in other stores. It was great being able to check out J.Crew in person too! Overall, I had a really lovely time in London…

The Grey Cape & Over The Knee Boots

(Cape – Exact & Similar, Jeans – Exact, Boots – Exact) I have been thinking up an outfit ever since I got these gorgeous DUO boots a couple of weeks ago at the DUO Bloggers event in Bath. I  completely fell in love with them when I first saw them and I am so happy that I was able to have them. I’ve never owned any over the knee boots before and these are just perfect! So, for the outfit, I wanted something contrasting which is why I chose this Topshop Double Breasted Grey Cape. I had been wanting this cape coat ever since I saw it a couple of months ago in a Topshop fashion bloggers preview, finally it came in stock last week so I snapped it up in an XS instantly! I now have a cape that I absolutely adore! I felt like the look needed some blue denim in it though, which is why I tucked these 7 For All Mankind The Ankle Skinny Jeans in Rue De Lille (similar here) into my beautiful DUO Dita Over The Knee Grey Suede Boots. You haven’t seen these jeans yet, but you will in detail soon. They have a raw hem and have been a pair that I’ve been living in and can’t be without. So this turned out to be an outfit that worked really well, in my opinion, and I would love to know what you think of it! Getting to my make-up though, I decided to do it a little bit differently. I recently got this Illamasqua contouring and highlighting kit as well as a…

My Dream Bedroom/Closet – Inspiration & Ideas

Ever since I was little, I have been obsessed with the idea of having a bedroom/closet combination that’s perfect for me. I’ve always liked the idea of sleeping in a closet, so having a bedroom which is a closet would be the most ideal situation, ever! At the moment I only have a small bedroom as I live in a house with my family, so I can’t dedicate a big room to store my things in, so my room is actually a mess. Being a UK fashion blogger means putting up with tiny houses! I have a lot of jeans and clothes stored in tubs, folded up in cupboards and on shelves etc as well as a lot of shoes being piled up in boxes and it’s hard to reach them. It’s definitely not the dream closet bedroom I have always wanted, but it’s all I can make do with at the moment. That’s why I thought it would be a fun idea to share some inspiration that I found online and speak about how exactly I would have mine laid out if I could! You can see a couple of previews of my current room here and here. I know this photo above is from a store that sells a lot of jeans, however since I have over 400 pairs of jeans (I have been collecting them for 10 years), most of my closet will need to be dedicated to a jeans wall. I would absolutely love those boxed shelving units which you can get from Ikea as I can fold up lots of pairs and colour coordinate…

Black & White Check On The Bridge Of Fantasies

(Jeans – Similar, Jacket – Exact, Top – Similar, Shoes – Exact & Similar, Bag – Exact) The main park in my town is always so beautiful in the Spring time! The flowers are starting to bloom, the trees and bushes are filling out, the squirrels are digging up their nuts and the ducks are always swimming around in the pond. It’s such a gorgeous place and it’s somewhere that I love to shoot outfit photos when the weather is warmer. There’s this beautiful picturesque bridge which was built over the lake and it always looks so perfect in photos. I couldn’t resist shooting this colourful outfit there yesterday on the way to the train station! Isn’t it pretty? More picnics in the park are definitely needed over the next few months! It’s a great time to unwind and relax for me! For my outfit, I got to choose an item from the RARE London website to style, so I chose this pretty black and white gingham/checked PU leather jacket. It has a really unique fit to it as it has double lapels, 2 in black and 2 in gingham, a shorter zip and black trims. It’s pretty cool! I was thinking of styling a black and white monochrome look, but I just love colour way too much to do that! I paired it with my Rich & Skinny mustard skinny jeans and my Topshop burgundy top. I’ve always liked burgundy and yellow together as you probably already know, so it’s a combination I’m always drawn to when I already have one of the colours planned. I kept the rest…

Embellished Grey Jumper & A Colour Block Jacket

(Jacket – Exact 25% off, Jeans – Similar, Jumper – Exact 30% off, Boots – Similar) I bought this jumper/sweater completely unexpectedly last weekend in Topshop. I was in my local Topshop in Bath and was browsing around like I usually do, just looking, and then I came across this gorgeous embellished jumper with 30% off! It’s really beautiful in person as it has hand sewn beads all over the front and the arms, so it’s very delicate and pretty. They still have 30% off online so snap it up if you like it! I don’t think it will last long at that price. I got it in size UK 6 as it does run a bit bigger, so keep that in mind too. Since it’s such a light grey, I thought pairing it with a darker grey would look good, which is why I went with my Paige Verdugo Leggings in Stratus. These are really old and they are actually a bit big on me now in the legs, so they don’t fit as well as I would like them to. You would think that I would have a good amount of grey jeans in my closet, considering my denim addiction and the size of my collection, but I don’t. I have only 4 pairs of grey jeans, two of which are not comfortable, so I don’t wear them as they are a thick denim, the other are my J Brand’s which are now too big too, so that leaves me with these. I really need to buy another pair so badly! Anyway, I wore my French Connection Athena…

Burgundy, Yellow & My Paige Tristan Lorna Jeans

(Jeans – Similar, Top – Similar, Jacket – Exact, Bag – Similar, Shoes – Exact, Watch – Exact) This is a really simple outfit that I wore on Sunday. I pulled out my old Paige Denim Tristan Jeans in Lorna wash which were part of my collaboration I did with her a couple of years ago. Those of you who have been a fan of my personal style blog for a long time will remember my collaboration with Paige as we released 5 different cuts in this Lorna wash, which was co-designed by myself and Paige. The jeans I am wearing here were the first to be released, which got sold at Selfridges as an exclusive and sold out super quickly. They feature double back pockets, so they are really quirky. I’ve always loved these Tristan jeans the most as out of the whole collection, they are the ones I have worn the most. The wash turned out the best on the Tristan and the fit is so pretty! Do you remember these jeans from a while ago? If not, you can see my jeans collaboration process with Paige here. I thought that pairing these jeans with burgundy and mustard would be really pretty as they have that intense rich blue to them which contrasts against other colours nicely. I do like how it turned out and even though the Tristan is a slight boyfriend fit, I think it looks good with heels! I also got given this floral bomber jacket by Red or Dead a little while ago and it was a little too warm to wear it with…
