Raindrops of Sapphire x Topshop Denim

I am beyond excited to be collaborating with my favourite high street brand… Topshop! It’s no secret that I often wear their clothes and I pretty much put an order through on their website every single month. I’m all about mixing high street with designer pieces, balancing it out, which I think makes my outfits much more wearable, and affordable, since I can’t just drop lots of money on trendy items I would only wear a few times. When Topshop reached out to me about their latest campaign, I couldn’t have been more happy! For March they have launched their new Topshop denim campaign and you all know how addicted to denim I am! I live in it every single day and have a blog dedicated to it, so this was the most fitting campaign for me that could have come around. Putting together outfits and styling their denim was great and this is the first outfit that I have come up with in the series. There will be another outfit post coming up in a couple of days as part two, and I’m hoping there will be a part three as well in April. Topshop Items I’m Wearing: Denim Mullet Skirt Embroidered Denim Jacket Marigold Bee Shoes I decided to go with a double denim outfit for the first look to really kick things off with the denim. I had seen this embroidered denim jacket on their website for some time and with the shearling lining, I knew it would be gorgeous, and I wasn’t wrong! It runs big so I had to size down, but it paired so…

Triple Denim With A Wooden Twist

A triple denim outfit with tan brown accessories to match I wore this triple or double denim outfit a couple of weekends ago when it was boiling hot out. I think that was our last attempt at Summer, so at least I got to wear my new Vintage Levi’s Denim Shorts. Each time I go into Urban Outfitters, I always check out the latest selection for the vintage Levi’s, just to see if there’s any amazing new washes that I need to add to my collection and on one of the days, I found these! They are perfect in every way! I love the lighter, mid blue of the denim, but the fit is a classic 501 and they fit tighter than my darker wash 501’s, so I love them! I love that they are a bit longer too, to cover more. I paired them with my Topshop Sleeveless Denim Shirt, to go for a double denim look but then I broke it up in the middle with a Tan Belt from Next. Funnily enough, I actually bought this belt while I was out before shooting these photos. I couldn’t find mine anywhere and really wanted a tan belt for this outfit, so luckily I was able to find one after searching around! The wash on this denim shirt is quite similar to the denim shorts though, but a bit lighter, so there’s just enough contrast for it to not look too uniform or too matchy, which is important to me. To keep with the denim and tan theme, I chose to wear my Kurt Geiger Carvela Karen Sandals and…

Chanel Espadrilles With Denim & Chiffon

Chanel canvas espadrilles with denim shorts and chiffon I firstly wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone for all of your birthday wishes over the weekend! I can’t believe that I’m 27 already, the time seems to be flying by so quickly these days, it’s crazy. I had a wonderful birthday and I will share with you in another post soon what I ended up doing and some of the presents that I received, so don’t worry, you haven’t missed out on seeing that one. I wore this outfit a few weeks ago when I went out to run some errands around town and stop to have lunch in my favourite pizza restaurant. I have of course explained about everything I am wearing individually within this post, you just need to click the more button to see everything in detail. I thought it all paired really well together though and I’m really enjoying casual, yet classic looks like this. The chiffon material really brings a low key outfit like this up a couple of notches into a styled look in my opinion, which is perfect for a fashion blog. Also, how can I not mention… My Chanel espadrilles! Yay! You have to read on to find out more about these and how excited I am to finally have the classic pair! Please do leave me a comment and let me know what you think of the outfit. I love reading what you have to say!

Rebecca Minkoff Denim Love Cross Body Bag

Rebecca Minkoff Denim Love Cross Body Bag I’m sure all of you know by now that my weakness is denim. Being a denim blogger, I am obsessed with it to the point of owning around 450 pairs of jeans (the last time I counted) in all different fits, washes, weights, styles and more, but I don’t only love denim in jeans, I love it in all sorts of things. This is why when I saw that Rebecca Minkoff had designed her famous Love Cross Body Bag in denim, I literally fell off my seat! What more could I ask for? I was hoping it might come in the mini size (it now does!) if I’m being picky, but I actually love this size more than I thought I would! Isn’t it stunning?! The bag itself is around 9.75 inches in length, 5.5 inches in height and has a depth of about 3.25 inches, making it quite a decent size for everything you want to carry. It has a really cool black and white floral printed lining too, for those of you wondering. I always love the different linings that Rebecca Minkoff uses and the different prints on the dust bags, so if you are interested in that too, this one comes with a satin navy dust bag, which looks really nice. Getting to the fabric, it’s got quilted denim on the front and plain denim on the back, all of which is encased in navy leather trims and details. These colours really compliment each other so well! The Love Cross Body also features a silver twist lock fastening and a…

50 Shades Of Blue Denim

(Jeans – Exact, Shirt – Similar & Similar & Similar, Shoes – Exact, Bag – Similar) Well, not quite 50, but at least 6… Since denim is pretty much what I’m known for, I thought it was about time that I incorporated a major denim look on my blog. I had been toying with the idea of going for multiple shades and pieces in one outfit then finishing it with other blue pieces to make it really denim inspired, so this is what I came up with. I wore this look to town on Saturday actually when I went out with my boyfriend to get something to eat and do a spot of window shopping. So many people think that mixing multiple pieces of denim together is a big no no, but to me, it’s a huge yes. I think it can look really stylish and put together when done right! I know some other fashion bloggers would agree too! For my outfit, I started out with my James Jeans Twiggy Dancer jeans as I wanted a really nice dark blue. These are actually amazing. I’ve written a bit about them over on The Jeans Blog and featured an interview I did with the brand about them, but they are super stretchy like leggings and don’t feature outerseams, but they still have the flattering fit and capabilities of jeans. You should definitely check them out! I paired them with my oversized dark blue denim Topshop shirt and then tied a lighter blue Topshop denim shirt around my waist. Mixing three shades together from dark to light and I love how…

Denim On Denim On Denim

(Jeans – Exact, Shirt – Similar, Shoes – Exact, Bag – Similar) Those of you who have followed my blog for a while or know me quite well will already know that I do have such an obsession with denim. I thought I would pay a tribute to that and wear an all denim look! I have on a triple denim outfit here as the bag is even made of it! I decided to wear my new Citizens of Humanity Rocket Skinny Jeans in Byron Bay which I paired with my Topshop Denim Shirt. I wanted to bring a little bit of colour to the outfit so chose my Mulberry Alexa Clutch in Loopy Leopard Denim. For my shoes, I wanted something neutral, but wanted a pastel colour instead of nude, so I opted for my new ASOS Pastel Pink Heels, the same ones you just saw in my Valentine’s Day outfit. I always seem to feel at my most comfortable when I’m wearing denim, or just jeans in general. There is something about the fabric that makes me feel relaxed and at ease, I have no idea why. I hope you are all having a lovely week! As always, let me know what you think of the outfit in the comments below!

My Obsession With Jeans & My Favourite Denim

Those of you who are fans of my blog Raindrops of Sapphire and those of you who know me quite well (or from DenimBlog) will know that I am completely addicted to jeans and denim in general. When I was a toddler, my mum always used to dress me in denim dungarees, so you will find a lot of photos of me wearing them at that age, which makes me wonder if that’s where my denim obsession came from? Apparently I used to love wearing them so much. As I got older, maybe around the age of 8-11, I used to wear jeans, but because I had problems with my legs at the time, the fabric used to be too stiff and rub against my skin causing irritation (if only they had jeggings back then!) so I wasn’t able to wear them often. I remember having a gorgeous pair of burgundy straight leg jeans at that age too, which I absolutely loved, but since they caused me pain, I couldn’t really wear them unfortunately. As a few years went by and I grew a lot, I didn’t have so many issues, so I got my first pair of jeans for Christmas from my dad, I think I was about 13 at the time and I remember we bought them in Dorothy Perkins as I wanted a rainbow striped top to go with them! This is when I remember the jeans obsession actually started happening. They were a really dark indigo and really well made, so they literally went with anything I wore and I lived in them for a long…

The Denim & The Bluebell

(Jeans – Exact, Shirt – Exact, Top – Similar, Necklace – Similar, Heels – Similar) This is an outfit that I threw together really quickly for a review on DenimBlog. I think there is something so simple and classic about a pair of dark skinny jeans and a light wash denim shirt. When I bought this denim shirt, I honestly didn’t think I would wear it as much as I have done, it’s sort of become a staple now and overtook my other denim shirts. I really like the pop of purple peeping through as well, I think it makes the outfit stand out more. Although please excuse my unruly hair, ha ha. I’m wearing J Brand skinny jeans in Bluebell, a Topshop denim shirt, purple top and Amethyst necklace and my Kurt Geiger nude Eleanor heels. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who voted on my poll for what you would like to see more of. Outfit posts won by loads of votes so from now on I will make sure I try and post as many outfits as I can and then in between, when I’m not able to, I will fill up the blog posts with personal life and new items. I’m also planning on trying to post more, so maybe 4-5 times a week instead of about 3. So, what do you think of this simple double denim outfit? You can also read my review on DB here.
