Faux Fur Coat With A Corduroy Skirt

The Zara Faux Fur Coat With A Cord Skirt And Boots I hope everyone is well and had a lovely weekend! Monday is here again and it’s a fresh start to the week, and comes with it a bit of a new fresh look on my photos and how I am editing them. We shot this look at Lansdown Crescent and the location is just beautiful! It’s so luxurious and reminds me a lot of the older era that was cobblestones with horse and carts over a century ago here in Bath. With that in mind, I wanted to wear an outfit that was suitable for the location, along the same colour scheme, but of course fashionable at the same time, and this is what I came up with. I opted to wear my favourite Zara Blush Pink Faux Fur Coat that I got a few months ago. I originally thought it was cream as the photos show that, but it’s a subtle pink in real life and I love it more. I layered it over a Fluffy Brown Jumper, which is also from Zara, as I like these warm, neutral tones together. For the other pieces, I chose this Topshop Cord Skirt in Beige as I rarely wear skirts that often, especially not in corduroy, and this one turned out to be the perfect neutral! Plus, it’s in the sale right now for only £15, so it’s a bargain. I then topped that off with my Gucci GG Belt in Tan, as I think that just pulled it all together in the middle, and finished it off with my…

An Autumn Walk With Adam In Allsaints

Twinning With Adam In Allsaints Coats Remember when I shared my twinning with Adam in Calvin Klein blog post? And I said that I had another one to share with you as well? Well, here it is! Adam and I shot these photos (my mum was the photographer again, I edited) in the Autumn, if you couldn’t tell, ha ha, and I’m sharing them with you now. We were looking for a perfect woodland location with golden tones, and we happened upon this secluded little walkway area near Lansdown Crescent here in Bath. I was shocked that we had never seen it before, and it’s amazing what gems you can find when you scout around and go down roads you didn’t know existed, and I fell in love with it so much. I can’t wait to go there again and do more shoots next year, but I imagine it will be stunning in the Summer too! Since we did casual sweatshirts and Golden Goose sneakers last time, this time we wanted to go for a more classic, dressed up outfit, while still twinning. Adam and I are both huge fans of Allsaints, and we own very similar coats, so we opted to wear our Allsaints Overcoats. Adam is wearing the Bodell (buy it here) and I was wearing the Leni, which I got a couple of years ago, but you can buy similar here. For our jeans, I went with my PAIGE Margot Black Skinny Jeans and Adam had his J Brand Maria in Black, both very similar. We opted for simple brown knits underneath (mine Topshop, Adam’s Topman) and…

All The Golden Tones

Fashion Blogger Outfit In Autumn These photos might be one of my favourites from my Autumn set! Aren’t they just stunning? Whenever I see bright oranges and yellows on the leaves, I have to take a photo and I planned a complementary outfit to the scenery, to make sure the set came out perfectly. Woodland areas are just so beautiful in every way, and I always feel so calm and connected to them ever since I was little, often hiding in them, but there’s something about this time of year (or should I say a couple of weeks ago – everything is bare right now) that just gives me energy and brings it all to life. For this outfit, I chose to wear my old Zara Aviator Jacket (which I’ve worn numerous times) and styled it over a Topshop Funnel Neck Top in Beige. I opted to wear a my PAIGE Margot Skinny Jeans in Black as well to create a dark base, and then finished it off with my Celtic & Co. Chelsea Boots. I thought there wasn’t enough colour in my outfit though, and I didn’t want these photos to only have colour in the scenery, so I went with this Zara Burgundy Scarf that I actually got Adam for his birthday, but I borrowed it, ha ha. I love burgundy as you know, and I think it really brings an outfit to life and gives it that pop it needs during Autumn, as it’s the perfect tone for the golden hues. Sometimes I think my most casual and comfortable looks, like this, are my favourites. Of course…

If You Go Down To The Woods Today

Today’s The Day The Teddy Bears Have Their Picnic When I had finished editing these photos and uploaded them, instantly I started humming the Teddy Bears Picnic song, which is why the title is a play on that. I think it’s because I was in the park, which can also be woodland, and I was wearing my Topshop Teddy Borg Coat that you have seen before, and the two just combined together in my mind. Adam and I shot these photos a few weeks ago in the park when the Autumn leaves were at their best. I love Autumn (as you all know off by heart) and luckily this year we managed to do so many Autumn leaves shoots that I am over the moon. Usually every season we only get a few, but I have around 6 more to share with you after this set, so it might be heading into Winter once I’ve finished sharing them, ha ha. For my outfit, I was wearing my Topshop Teddy Borg Coat, as I mentioned, and layered it over my Topshop Funnel Neck Top in Beige. I thought the two shades were very similar, so they pair nicely together. I then added in my River Island Chenille Burgundy Scarf, which I got in the sale and it’s amazing! It’s so soft and cosy, plus the colour is rich and intense. I also wore a pair of Beyond Yoga Leggings in Black too, which I finished off with my Balenciaga Race Runners in Black. Now I don’t tend to wear leggings very often at all as I don’t find them warm enough…

The Tartan Corduroy Skirt With Boots

The Tartan Corduroy Skirt With Over The Knee Boots Happy Saturday everyone! I wanted to say thank you for the huge amount of love I had on my Jessica Rabbit costume for Halloween! You all seemed to love it so much, which makes me happy. As Autumn always brings me to life and I get inspired by everything around me, I love experimenting with my outfits and trying different things, and this outfit incorporates a bit of that, but also with my own, usual personal style. We did shoot these photos about a month ago when it was still fairly warm though, so you can be certain I am not venturing outside in a look like this until next year sometime now, ha ha. It’s crazy to me that it’s November already, it really is. For this outfit, I was wearing a Topshop Corduroy Tartan Skirt which I styled with the Topshop Fluffy Cropped Knit (you saw it here) as I’m really loving cropped knitwear right now. I thought this look would be perfect with my DUO Empress Over The Knee Boots though as I really love skirts with boots in the Autumn time. I kept the rest of it simple, finishing it off with my Swarovski Remix Bracelets and then adding in my Mulberry Lily in Oxblood. You’re finally seeing my birthday bag for the first time! If you remember, it was my 30th birthday present from everyone, and myself. I was going to do a review, but I decided not to as they discontinued it a month after I got it, so you can’t buy it anymore, so…

Jessica Rabbit

My Jessica Rabbit Costume First off, Happy Halloween to all of you for tomorrow! So many of you have been asking me what my annual Halloween costume was going to be, and I tried to not give too much away, but for those of you who follow me on Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) you will have seen some preview videos from the photoshoot over the weekend, so a lot of you recently knew what costume was coming! I actually had a hard time narrowing this one down as I didn’t want to buy a full costume this time around, instead wanting to make one out of normal clothing. I already had the red wig, so I was figuring out what character to be with red hair, and decided on Jessica Rabbit. I picked up a red dress online quite cheap, sans sequins, and then ordered some purple gloves off of eBay, and chose to wear my Christian Louboutin Pigalle. I know Jessica Rabbit has red shoes, but I couldn’t find mine typically, so this is my own personal take on it. Halloween is actually one of my favourite times of the year as I really do love dressing up in costume, as I know you know! If you remember my previous years costumes (Cat Woman, Tinkerbell, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Red Riding Hood) then you know it’s a tradition of mine, and something I look forward to as the end of October approaches. Channeling my inner Jessica Rabbit was actually harder than I thought it would be though since she oozes a lot of sex appeal and is incredibly confident, which are…

At The Pumpkin Patch

At The Pumpkin Patch How is it almost Halloween? There’s pretty much 2 months left of the year, and once I get past Halloween I start planning everything Christmas related! For this photoshoot though, Adam and I decided to do something different and go to a Pumpkin Patch! This one is at Farrington Farm and I had actually never been to a Pumpkin Patch before, ever, so it was quite an exciting experience! I was considering wearing wellies, but as the weather was really sunny and dry, it wasn’t bad at all so I stuck with my boots as the mud was mostly hard. It was so cool seeing endless amounts of pumpkins in a field though, rows and rows of orange, green, and white pumpkins, thousands of them! They made such a pretty backdrop for the photos, so this is something I plan to do every year now if I can for an October photoshoot! I personally thought burgundy would be a good option for my outfit, so the orange could stand out, and Adam chose an orange jumper so he matched the pumpkins, and I think I actually like his photos more, ha ha, but I will let all of you be the judge of that! Since this is more of a festive and fun shoot, I’m not really focusing it on the outfit, which is why I haven’t put what I was wearing at the bottom or the options to buy. I can’t remember the roll neck jumper as it’s old, but if you are interested, just leave me a comment below and I will look it…

It’s All About That Autumn Grey

Layering A Denim Skirt With Boots And A Coat Happy Tuesday everyone! I’m actually enjoying our current weather. There’s a crisp coldness to the air which makes layering possible, but it’s still fairly warm, just how I like Autumn to be. I know we’re expecting some major storms from Thursday onward though, so hopefully things will be ok. Cutting straight to the point though and talking about this photoshoot, we shot the photos at a woodland area that I often use this time of year as it’s so beautiful, especially when the leaves start turning. I thought it would make the perfect backdrop for this outfit that I put together I was wearing this gorgeous GRLFRND Blaire High Rise Split Pencil Skirt in Live Wire which I decided to style with my new favourite Topshop Fluffy Cropped Knit (which you saw here) and then layered on a Topshop Belted Duster Coat in Grey too! I actually got this coat earlier this year for a steal and have been waiting to wear it! Since I had two shades of grey from the skirt and coat, I went with my DUO Empress Over The Knee Boots, as I can never get enough of these (I like them more than my Stuart Weitzman), and then added in my Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour Bag in Grey, for more of a monochrome vibe. I love the whole grey, black, and white combination, all made different with various textures and length elements. This might actually be my favourite, or one of my favourite, outfits from this year so far! I’m feeling a lot more…
