Fall Finds: Jewellery & Accessories

Topshop Lipstick In Brighton Rock. One thing I am always on the hunt for, be it any season, is accessories. I am obsessed with them and I rarely leave the house without wearing a bracelet, rings, earrings or a necklace of some sort. Right now, because the weather is getting so cold, my main focus for my Fall/Autumn accessories is scarves, hats, gloves and more low key jewellery. I like to make my statements with items that are both practical and cute during the cold months. I’m loving the animal hats at the moment, as well as faux fur mittens or paws and leopard print. Snoods are also a favourite of mine because you don’t have the long ends of a scarf getting in your way. I passed Azendi many times and fell in love with the pink Carousel ring, I’ve been eyeing that for quite a few weeks now. Hopefully I might get it for Christmas! What are some of your favourite accessories for Fall? Please click this blog post to view all of the items I selected. (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)

Miu Miu Opens A New Flagship Store In Venice

One of my favourite brands, Miu Miu, is further strengthening its presence in Italy with the opening of a new flagship store on Venice’s Salizada San Moise dedicated to its collections of ready to wear, bags, footwear and accessories. Designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, the store features an entrance and large glass display window with bronzed steel fixtures that face onto the ‘calle’. These elements blend harmoniously into the frame of the historic building that the houses store. The space spans across a long single level covering a total surface area of approximately 90 square meters. The original features of the palazzo are mixed with the classic decorative elements of the brand. When you enter the store, its spaces are revealed gradually. From the entrance you proceed to the area dedicated to leather goods in which large staggered shelves upholstered in damask make for a dynamic product display. Following, is the area that houses footwear, a small lounge lit by a large skylight preferred from the original structure. Finally, you reache the ready to wear area in which the wood, stucco and plaster ceiling and furnishings have all been preserved and restored. The large window has been fitted with leaded glass bathing the space in natural light. To emphasis continuity between the spaces, the same inlaid Venetian floor joins all the rooms, whilst mirrors heighten to intrigue of the three different ceilings. Judging from the pictures, this store looks absolutely amazing! You can see everything so clearly and it looks like a fantastic boutique to shop in. I love it! It looks so bright and fresh. Fashion Week: Vivienne Westwood Spring 2011

Designer Vivienne Westwood, sent the models down the runway to present her new Spring/Summer 2011 collection during Paris Fashion Week on the 1st October 2010 in Paris France. Her Spring/Summer 2011 runway show was full of life! It had many bright colours scattered across the catwalk with shredded fabrics and lots of face paint. Each item is completely different and so unique in its own way. It’s definitely an impressive collection! The boots with the buckle straps have to be my favourite out of the whole show though! I think they are gorgeous! I’m not too sure how I feel about the balaclava style headwear though… This is my final Fashion Week post now so I am rounding it off with both of Vivienne Westwood’s Spring/Summer 2011 runway shows. The Red Label collection is at the bottom of this blog post. Click here to view all of my Fashion Week coverage. (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)

Fashion Week: Nicole Farhi Spring 2011

Nicole Farhi showed her Spring/Summer 2011 collection during London Fashion Week on the 20th Setpember 2010 in London, England. I wanted to post a video of this collection because you can really see how much the sequins and glitter she has used on her clothes shines! I am loving the glitz and glamour of this presentation! The dresses are really well fitting and in whites, pinks and yellows which are the hottest colours on the runway at the moment! I don’t own anything by Nicole Farhi but I always love some of her pieces in every collection. The floral print on the maxi dress is really feminine and the metallic fringing is such a unique take on the trend of fringed dresses. I absolutely love this collection! Taylor Swift Loves Wildfox Love Potion

The very cute and beautifully faced Taylor Swift was seen out and about in Beverly Hills, California last month on the 11th September 2010. Taylor was wearing one of my favourite sweaters! The Wildfox Love potion Cream Knit with a pair of denim leggings and brown boots which she finished off with red sunglasses and a neutral bag. I absolutely love this outfit and the sweater is so pretty! The sequin perfume bottle on the front is gorgeous! I am very fond of Taylor’s pretty, cute and feminine style that she normally has so it’s nice to see her in a different kind of outfit like this. This Wildfox knit is still on my ever growing wish list unfortunately! Hopefully I can get it soon! You may have noticed that all of my posts you have to click them to view all of the images now, the reason for this is because it makes my site load faster so it’s easier to view the home page. It’s also faster to leave a comment that way too! (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)

Fashion Week: D&G Spring 2011

D&G showed their latest collection during Milan Fashion Week on the 23rd September 2010 in Milan, Italy. The theme for the women’s collection was Garden Party. The runway edges were covered in grass and flowers and the models looked fresh faced and ready for a picnic! The clothes featured a lot of Spring colours and floral prints in silky and cotton fabrics. Gingham in red and white was also present, just like a picnic basket lining and the blankets! The runway show looked like so much fun and such a new and light take on the otherwise fierce catwalk! I absolutely adore some of the dresses and prints in this presentation! The them for the men’s show was Picnic and this time the actual catwalk was grass! The men walked the runway in preppy outfits of long shorts and jackets in pastel colours, perfect for having a picnic in the park. They also wore chinos, printed t-shirts, short shorts and polo t-shirts with laceless tennis shoes. Most of these outfits scream posh college boys to me but with a more fresh take on the look. I really like some of them though! They even carry baguettes in their bags! This is one show I am loving the theme with! What do you fashion blog owners think?
