(Coat – Exact, Jumper – Exact, Jeans – Similar, Boots – Exact, Bag – Exact, Scarf – Exact) I wore this outfit when I went out to lunch on Saturday with my boyfriend and we ate at Gourmet Burger Kitchen. I haven’t ever been there before, but it was quite nice! I decided to wear my new Zara coat for the first time and I love it, although it’s a little bulky in the shoulders. I saw it as coming soon on the site for ages and then on a Sunday morning it was in stock, so I snapped it up quickly and it went out of stock again, so I was really excited to finally have it. I’m wearing my new Zara Beige Coat With Faux Leather Sleeves and Taupe/Camel Cable Knit Jumper/Sweater, my Levi’s Black Skinny Jeans, my ASOS Burgundy Quilted Bag, my Topshop Aubergine Cable Knit Pom Pom Scarf and my KG by Kurt Geiger Winona Booties. I thought that pairing it with black and camel was a good idea to keep things neutral, but I added a bit of colour with the scarf and bag so it didn’t look too bland. It’s definitely a really nice coat and it’s very warm, I just need to get used to how it sits at the shoulders as I felt quite bulky with it, hopefully it will settle down soon though. Anyway, what do you think of the outfit?
(Skirt – Exact, Jumper – Exact, Scarf – Exact, Shoes – Similar) I while ago I chose this lovely skirt by Chi Chi to style, but I hadn’t had the right weather for it. On Saturday though the temperature warmed up and the sun was shining so it felt like the perfect time to wear this look. Despite it being freezing on my legs, tights just didn’t really work with it, so I braved the cold for a while. I wanted to show that summer pieces can also easily transition into winter wear as well, if you pair them with the right things. I’m wearing a Black High Low Maxi skirt c/o Chi Chi, a Cream Jumper/Sweater from Zara and my Topshop Aubergine Pom Pom scarf and Glam heels. I will also be updating my ombre hair post soon with new pictures as I have been working on getting the blonde the correct shade myself with a special shampoo. It’s now at the colour I wanted it originally as you can see, and it’s not really brassy or orangey anymore at all, so I’m quite happy now! Did you all have a nice weekend? What do you think of the outfit?
I’ve teamed up with Look Bible to give one of you the chance to WIN a £100 voucher for their store and 3 runners up a £15 voucher! Look Bible is a cool new website where you can share your looks and your inspirations with everyone else, but at the same time it’s connected to a store which stocks brands like Mink Pink, Cheap Monday and Evil Twin! It’s sort of like a cross between Pinterest, Look Book and Polyvore! It’s a great mix! As you can see below I am wearing a jumper/sweater from Mink Pink which is from the Look Bible store and it’s really cute! The website itself is great for extra promotion for yourself as well though as you add your looks with an URL, so you can link your blog and people can click through. All you have to do to enter is follow my Look Bible account (click here to follow) and re-post one of my pins. It can be one that you think is most your style, an outfit that inspires you or any other reason for re-posting it. It’s as simple as that! You can also get a bonus entry by liking both the Look Bible and Raindrops of Sapphire FaceBook pages (click names to like). The contest will be running for one week and will close on the 15th December 2012 at 11:59:59pm BST. The winner and runners up will be chosen by Look Bible from those of you who have entered correctly. Thank you to Look Bible for holding this contest with me and good luck to everyone who enters!
Back in November, I attended the Mimi Noor boutique 2nd birthday party. As some of you know, I don’t drink and I am not really a huge fan of parties in general as I’m not a ‘loads of people at once’ kind of person, so I sort of kept to the corner with my boyfriend and my mum who was also invited as she’s friends with Mimi too, with my cool water bottle ha ha. Mimi’s boutique is really beautiful though. It’s small and has a pretty layout, but the best thing is the wall with shelves of jeans and a ladder. It actually feels so homely to be surrounded by so much denim at once. You know my background with denim and how obsessed I am with it, so being surrounded by the brands I love and the new styles makes me feel comfortable, which is great. I wasn’t sure if I should admit that I’m not really a party person. I mean, I visit so many blogs daily, and loads of the fashion bloggers love the parties and they even host some of them, so I don’t really fit into the usual category of fashion bloggers. However, I’m not afraid to be different at all. I am who I am and I’m very comfortable with that, so I don’t ever feel peer pressure or anything to do something I’m not ok with. I guess this might be why you don’t see many party or night time event posts on my blog. I get invited to them, like the Luisaviaroma Firenze 4 Eva fashion blogger events in Italy and…
Recently, due to the influx of constant heavy rain and getting my shoes and ankles dirty from splashes, I have been considering getting a pair of winter shoes/wellies. I don’t exactly find them to be the most stylish option, but I know that you can get some really gorgeous Hunter Wellies in some great prints! I was thinking of how to make a more classic pair of black wellies fashionable though and this is what I came up with. I chose black because it’s the most versatile/quiet colour and pairing these with black skinnies makes them stand out even less. Burgundy and mustard are my two favourite colours for Autumn/Winter as well so I think dressing the black up with pops of colour from the hip upwards really makes your torso the focal point, so the wellies don’t become too obvious. This is how I would wear them, if I decide to get a pair! I just know that it’s getting somewhat annoying having to avoid puddles and the dirty splashes all the time! I usually dress a little differently in the rain (as you can see here), but I would definitely feel comfortable in a look like this! What do you think of the outfit?
(Jumper – Exact, Jeans – Exact, Shoes – Similar) Zalando let me choose this really cute Wildfox Love Me jumper to style and I love it. It’s so soft and cosy, but cute at the same time. Every time I wear it I also end up singing the song after reading the lyrics ha ha. I decided to pair it with these bright blue skinnies so there would be a pop of colour and then the black heels would dress it up. It’s a fairly simple outfit, with not much fuss. I’m wearing my Wildfox Love Me jumper c/o Zalando, my Henry & Belle skinny jeans in Cornflower and my Topshop black suede Glam heels. This isn’t the first time I have ordered from the company actually, you might remember two of my previous posts (here & here) when I wore two items from their store. They have a great selection of women’s clothing as well as men’s and they have great service. So definitely check them out if you get chance! Anyway, what do you think of the outfit?
I’ve really developed a liking for pretty and feminine dresses over the past year. I’m usually a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl with blazers and heels thrown in, but as it happens, I’ve realised I like Dresses just as much! I collaborated with Australian brand Supre to choose my favourite dresses from their online store to share with you. One of my favourites that I own (aside from the hi low black maxi) is this red ombre maxi dress above. I used this one as inspiration when choosing from Supre. I love every one of the dress/skirt combinations below and would like to wear them all! I think my favourite would be the cream lace though, I think that’s so delicate! What do you think of my choices?
(Jeans – Similar, Jacket – Similar, Top – Similar, Bag – Exact, Shoes – Exact) I wasn’t planning on posting these photos on my blog because I only have a few and a lot are blurry, but this is the outfit I wore on my boyfriends birthday in mid November (before I ombre’d my hair) and I really like the look, so I wanted to share it with you. It’s sort of similar to this outfit that I wore, but the boots and bag are different. I just really love this kind of colour combination. I’m wearing my Rag & Bone skinny jeans, my Zara leather sleeve blazer and burgundy top, my KG by Kurt Geiger Winona booties and my ASOS shearling bag. I’ve been on the hunt lately for some cute fairisle style jumpers as I love the print, but I always find it tricky to find something pretty when it comes to women’s clothing, so I have started looking at guys jumpers and have found some really cool ones that I like. Some even come in xxs so that could be good! I just think the fairisle/winter print is adorable! Anyway, what do you think of my outfit?
