(Jeans – Exact on SALE, Gilet – Exact on SALE, Jumper – Similar, Shoes – Similar) The last time I wore these jeans was with a neutral outfit of creams and browns (see here), but this time I wanted to glam them up a little with my favourite shade of burgundy. I kept things casual with my high tops, but added warmth with the gilet. I also opted for a gold eyeshadow, but it’s not really visible in the photos. I’m wearing my 7 For All Mankind Gold Jeans, my Topshop Burgundy Gilet, my Zara Cable Knit Jumper and my River Island Burgundy Hidden Heel High Tops. It was super windy this day so you may notice my hair is all over the place! But I really do like this combination a lot. I seem to be addicted to wearing my hidden heel high tops too! I love them so much. You can see my collection here. Anyway, what do you think of my outfit?
(Jeans – Exact, Shirt – Exact, Blazer – Exact, Heels – Similar) As I showed you my new purchases yesterday in this post, I mentioned I would be showing you an outfit consisting of some of the items soon. This one has three of my new pieces, the jeans, blazer and shirt. I had been wanting to do a denim shirt with a navy blazer and jeans look for a while as I love the all blue tone, so I am glad I was able to find the perfect jacket! I’m wearing my AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans, my Zara navy blazer, a Forever 21 ombre denim shirt and my Topshop black suede heels. I was considering just a regular plain blue denim shirt with this look, but I thought I would make it a little different and more interesting with the ombre. I really like how everything turned out actually as the combination doesn’t feel like too much blue. What do you think? Do you like it?
I said I would share my new purchases with you, so here is the post. I decided to take my photos outside this time because it was just too dull inside, I think I might start doing this often actually as the lighting is so much better! These are purchases that I got in the sale and a few things here and there throughout December as well. Above is my new Zara quilted faux leather jacket in black, from their TRF collection, so it wasn’t as expensive as it could have been if it was from the regular collection. I absolutely love this jacket! I’m a big fan of the leather look jackets and this one is cut so nicely that it’s really flattering. It curves around the spine and waist so it gives a nice silhouette. You did see this jacket in yesterday’s outfit post here. I got this burgundy body warmer/gilet in the sale from Topshop, it was reduced by over 50% so it was a great bargain! I absolutely love these types of jackets because they are so warm and insulated, yet you can still wear your jumpers underneath without looking bulky! I love the colour of this one and it also has a grey hood which is cute! Buy it here.
A lot of you ladies have come to me over the past couple of years for Christian Louboutin advice. A post I did back in 2010 (click here to see post) about sizing advice and getting your Christian Louboutin shoes to fit, is still my most popular post on my blog to date and has almost 400 comments with questions and answers regarding his shoes. With that in mind, I thought it was about time that I did a new post which is more in depth about finding the right Christian Louboutin shoe for you and your feet, as well as letting you know how to get authentic pairs at cheaper prices (no fakes) and learning to be comfortable in them. Through my shoe life span I have had about 20 pairs of Louboutin shoes, but currently remain with 11 in my collection. I don’t wear them often at all on my blog as I class them as very special shoes and I rarely ever wear them for everyday wear. I usually only break them out on occasions that warrant fancy shoes. The main reason I don’t wear them often though is because of comfort. I find his shoes to be highly painful and it’s somewhat of an art form getting them to fit correctly without killing your feet. Msr. Louboutin himself doesn’t have any sympathy for the pain his shoes inflict as he once stated: I really have not so much sympathy. If Tina Turner and Prince’s back-up band can perform on stage in them for three hours, you can’t tell me they are impossible to walk in. High…
(Jacket – Exact, Jeans – Exact, Shoes – Exact, Scarf – Similar, Bag – Exact) I wasn’t going to post this look yet as it included 2 items that are new (from December) and haven’t yet shared with you in my new purchases post. That will be coming up very soon though! But I wore this outfit last week when I popped out with my boyfriend. Luckily the rain stopped so photos were able to be taken! But it started pretty soon after, as usual. I’m wearing AG Adriano Goldschmied Jeans, a Zara Quilted Jacket, an Oatmeal Scarf and Hidden Heel High Tops from Topshop, my new Cambridge Satchel in Wine Matte and Rings from Topshop and ASOS. You will find out more about the new purchases in my next post, as I will go into detail about them, but I just have to say that these jeans have quickly become my favourites and I’m absolutely in love with them! I also adore my satchel as the colour is so pretty! It’s an exclusive to ASOS colour and looks just as pretty as it does in the photos. I thought I would include some British trademarks like the post box as I know you guys always appreciate seeing English things, ha ha! What do you think of the look?
I don’t really celebrate the new year much, as I guess I’m not really a very traditional type of person, I live by each day rather than separating it into months and years. But, as I don’t smoke, drink, want to lose weight or anything like that, I never usually make new years resolutions. So, I thought I would take this opportunity to take some time out and reflect on the small things that make me happy and make sure I include more of them in my life. I think it’s really important to fill your life with happy surroundings, people you love and make sure you enjoy every moment of it. I have more than my fair share of ailments in life, but I choose not to speak about them and only focus on the good things in life instead. It’s incredibly easy to get caught up in the hurry of life, but I always try to stop and think that there is always someone better off than you, and definitely worse off than you, so finding the best within your own life is what’s important and keeps you going. So the things I want to do more of are as follows: Spend more time outside in nature when the Spring/Summer comes around. This includes the above image and the one just below. When I see these two photos, I always smile as it reminds me of how beautiful things are when you take a step back to appreciate them. It’s important to relax and wind down and I do that best when it’s warm outside and I can…
(Coat – Similar, Leggings – Similar, Bag – Exact, Boots – Exact) I’ve had this coat for over a year and I’m sure some of you will remember my outfit posts from long ago. I absolutely adore it and decided it was time to wear it again. I’ve actually received so many questions about it, in person and from my blog, that it deserves another posting. I even got asked where it was from when I wore it yesterday (this outfit) by the waitress when I was out to lunch. I’m wearing my Topshop Burgundy Coat, a Zara Faux Leather Top, my Denimocracy Leggings, my KG by Kurt Geiger Winona Boots and my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Sycamore. These leggings are also old and one of my favourites, they are really thick with a waist band and back pockets, but just like leggings. They are great to wear! I decided on my Kurt Geiger boots to keep the black theme, but wanted another pop of colour with my Mulberry bag as I adore burgundy and mustard tones together. What do you think of the look?
As promised, here is a post dedicated to my hidden heel high top collection. I sort of became a little bit obsessed with these many months ago and have slowly been buying a few pairs here and there throughout the year. I now have 4 pairs and I am pretty happy with that as I have black, burgundy, camel and beige, so I think I am all set with colours as I have all of the colours I need. They are always my go to when it comes to just grabbing a pair of shoes. They are so comfortable, you don’t even feel the heel at all.
