Cambridge Satchel Spring Lilac Emily Outfit

Cambridge Satchel Small Emily Lilac Bag Spring Outfit

Happy Monday! I hope everyone survived Storm Freya this weekend and nobody was hurt. Luckily here it didn’t last long and we haven’t suffered any problems. It was really cold on the weekend though so trying to shoot our Spring photos in Spring clothes was actually a challenge! I had to end up borrowing Adam’s spare jacket in order to keep warm as it was literally freezing, but looking at these photos, you wouldn’t be able to tell. It’s warm one minute and cold the next! My original plan was to shoot this outfit and the bag around blossom trees, as I’ve been seeing some of the trees in bloom already, but as soon as we got to the park it was evident that it was still very much Winter. There was no sign of blossom at all so that did not go to plan, ha ha. I found another location though and some purple flowers, which I think turned out really nicely.

Anyway, getting to my outfit, I was wearing an old River Island Floral Shirt Dress that I purchased back in 2011 I think it was, but decided to wear it as an over shirt, layered over my Topshop Cropped Top in Beige. For the jeans, I went with my Topshop Grey High Rise Skinny Jeans and then finished it off with my Rebecca Minkoff Mules in Pink. For my jewellery, I chose my new Shashi Shell Necklace in Gold as seashell jewellery is really trending now, and for the bag, which is the star of the outfit, I chose my new The Cambridge Satchel Company Small Emily Tote in Light Lilac Celtic Grain. I was gifted this beautiful piece by the company and it’s personalised with my initials L.B in gold to match the hardware. You might remember in Autumn that I got the same Emily Bag in French Grey (click here to see it) and I loved it so much that for Spring I wanted the Lilac option, which is just beautiful! I shared it with you on Instagram Stories a little while ago and got so many messages about its beauty! You all loved it, so I couldn’t wait to share it in an outfit.

For those of you brand new to the Emily, it was The Cambridge Satchel Company’s newest addition last year to celebrate their 10th birthday, and it was named after the women who inspired the brand, Emily. I have the small version here, but it also comes in a bigger version (click here). It’s made from 100% leather in Great Britain (which I love as I always like to support local companies!), features two top handles, a shoulder strap, pale gold hardware, an inside slip pocket and more, in this beautiful new pinky lilac shade for Spring 2019. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted this colour and that’s why I knew it would be perfect for wearing around blossom, so that will have to be another shoot in the near future! If Lilac is not the right shade for you though, there’s almost every colour possible to choose from by clicking here, so there will definitely be an Emily you like. Anyway, please do comment and let me know what you think of my Cambridge Satchel Emily and the outfit! Lorna xx.

That’s a gorgeous outfit! I love the colours and the bag is really pretty, I personally don’t use real leather but that’s a very pretty style and colour and it’s perfect for spring!

You look lovely in this floral kimono. And how pretty is this bag, it resembles the small Mulberry Bayswater. The photo of it with the purple flowers is stunning.

Taking photos at this time of year is definitely challenging. The bag is so pretty. Love the colour.

It’s a lovely bag. It’s amazing that you already have flowers blooming. Everything is still covered in snow here and I can’t wait to it warm up.

Your shirt dress works so well as a kimono here and that’s a really cute bag! Even if the weather wasn’t cooperating, this is the perfect spring outfit! 🙂

Hoping your week is going well so far 🙂

Oh this is a great look love the color of the bag and how you wore the “dress” as a cardi. It is amazing what passes for a dress these days where it just about covers the bum. I have a lot of “dresses” that I wear as tops and almost never as dresses.

What a beautiful shirt! I’m loving the purple/plum colours in it. Also it has such a nice shape and flow to it. You look like the personification of spring. 🙂 Great jeans too – that’s one of my favourite shades of grey. 🙂

Yes, the weather is such a mixture at the moment… I don’t know what to wear when I go out. Too warm in a jacket and too cold with one. 😀

Thank you, Steven 🙂 I’m so happy you like it! It is a beautiful shirt and I love the tones of it. And I know, the weather can’t make up its mind, it was warm enough today for just a jumper and then within a couple of hours it was freezing again!
