10 New Must Have Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers
One of my latest obsessions is Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. They were founded in 2000 after merging the creative spirit of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Over the years, they have grown into a huge designer brand with flagship stores all over the world, and it’s one that many fashion lovers are drawn to. I’ve known about Golden Goose for years and I would often check out the collection on Luisaviaroma as they always had an amazing selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always thought they were quite expensive and looked too similar to Converse, so they were always shoes that were just in the back of my mind.
Adam was the one who originally loved the brand a few years back and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what inspired me to look into them more. Having seen his in person and seeing how each pair of their shoes is completely unique because they’re handmade in Italy – I was more intrigued. As the Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers are pre-distressed and made to look used and abused, they are all hand done so there’s no two pairs alike. Some have much more abrasions and dirt than others, so there’s a whole spectrum. If you’re choosing in person, it might be a good idea to ask to see a few of the same shoe and choose, but if you’re ordering online, you have to hope you get a good pair!
The pair of sneakers that I originally fell in love with first are the ones above in the main image, as they’ve been available for years, but I’ve never ended up purchasing them, so they’re on my list for this year for sure. I actually ended up getting the silver pair from Shopbop as I had saved up some gift cards I got given and they arrived yesterday. I absolutely love them! I was thinking of customizing them more, but I will see what I’m planning! I will be sharing them with you in a dedicated blog post soon. Knowing how cute and easy wearing they are in person (as well as comfortable) it’s made me want more colours now! So I do definitely want the gold ones, but the burgundy ones as well. I’m not a huge fan of the leopard laces on them, but I can easily swap them out for the black ones instead and then they would be perfect!
Another store that has one of the biggest selections of Golden Goose sneakers I’ve seen is FarFetch so I’ve also included some from them in my 10 must have Superstar sneakers round up. I’m excited to finally find a designer shoe that you can wear in the rain and on dirty ground though as you aren’t worried about getting them dirty since they’re already dirty. It’s kind of an ingenious idea and I can see these now becoming the type of shoe you collect. What do you think of Golden Goose? Were you aware of the brand before I mentioned them in my designer wish list for 2018 last week? Just click on the photos of the shoes or the links underneath each one to buy. I’ve rounded up a selection of classics in white, some suede, some colourful styles, and even embroidery!
