Topshop Grosgrain Lace Cold Shoulder Top With MOTHER Jeans
As I mentioned before in my previous outfit post with the Topshop Black Bardot Cold Shoulder Top, I have a bit of a thing for off the shoulder/cold shoulder pieces at the moment. So much so that I own the plain versions in both black and burgundy, and I also now own this new Topshop Grosgrain Lace Cold Shoulder Top in Black and White. I have to say though, I think this one is my absolute favourite out of all of them as the detailing and design is amazing. You only have to look at it and fall in love, plus I’ve received many compliments from people while wearing it, so I’m pretty sure it’s going to be loved by everyone!
For this outfit, I decided to pair my Topshop Grosgrain Lace Top with my new MOTHER Stunner Zip Ankle Step Fray Jeans in Good Girls Do. I’ve had these jeans for a while now (read my review on them here) as I thought the wash, the high rise, and the uneven hemline was quite quirky and would add a nice element to the feminine top. I then finished this outfit off with my Kurt Geiger Mellow Espadrilles, my Celine Nano Luggage Bag in Dune, and a Topshop Gold Elephant Necklace. I thought the pairing of the espadrilles with the top was a perfect match since they both feature black and white, but the blue in the middle broke it up nicely.
Now that my hair is pretty short, I think it might be the reason why I am loving the cold shoulder top trend a lot more. Before when it was long, it used to cover up almost everything so the detailing on these types of tops was lost, but now it really has a chance to stand out and I love that. I also think that’s the reason I am tending to drift more towards very dainty and elegant little necklaces instead of the bolder ones that I used to wear. It just frames the collar bones a lot better when your hair’s short, in my opinion. But anyway, what do you think of the outfit? Do you like the top? Comment and tell me!
