Roman Originals Floral Cold Shoulder Frill Dress

The Roman Originals Floral Cold Shoulder Dress Outfit

For my third Roman Originals collaboration post, I’m wearing this gorgeous Roman Originals Floral Cold Shoulder Frill Scuba Dress for the final dress outfit. For each of the looks that I have chosen (red lace dress and white crochet dress), I’ve gone for something completely different and opposite to each one. You couldn’t get more different I don’t think when it comes to dresses and that’s been so much fun showing how I style all the different dresses for different looks.

I decided to pair this floral scuba dress with my Valentino Mini Lock bag, a STORM watch and some RAYE heels, to create an outfit that’s smart and suitable for weddings or any formal summer occasions. It’s so hard to choose my favourite between all three, as I love them for all different reasons, but I do adore the print on this dress!

So what made me fall in love with the Roman Originals Floral Cold Shoulder Frill Dress? It’s the fact that it has the prettiest blue water colour flowers, the frill around the chest which goes over the tops of the arms for the cold shoulder appearance, and a super stretchy scuba fabric which makes it comfortable. Size 10 is the smallest UK size that Roman Originals go down to and that’s what size I am wearing here, so it is a little bit loose around the middle, but perfectly fitted around the bust and bum. Luckily I was a bit bloated during this photo shoot (women’s troubles) and it helped fill out the middle of the dress a bit more than before, so there’s a silver lining to that, ha ha.

It’s pretty though, isn’t it? I’ve fallen in love with it and that’s saying something as I wouldn’t usually choose a dress like this if I’m honest. It just goes to show that you can surprise yourself if you try something new or go outside your comfort zone. Comment and let me know what you think of the dress and the outfit here! And which of the three did you love the most?

I’m always a little afraid of wearing the frilly trend now but oh my goodness you pull it off so well!! I LOVE that dress. It’s stunning.

I’m surprised that you said you wouldn’t choose this dress. You look very natural wearing it and it’s certainly a well-cut and beautifully-ornamented fabric. Those intense colours push the motifs into three dimensions.

Thank you so much! Glad you like it! I would choose it, as I did choose it, but I meant it’s something different to what I would normally wear.

The colours and the pattern are so nice. It looks delightfully summery. It’s also a bit quirky with blue taking the place of what (I’m guessing as I don’t know much about flowers) in nature would probably be red and green. πŸ™‚

Oh… so difficult to decide which of the 3 I like the best as they are all really pretty but all so very different. If I had to be pushed to a decision then I think the white one maybe just has the slightest edge of a lead… but so close. πŸ˜€

That’s really cool you like the white one most, it was actually my least favourite from the beginning, but I love how it turned out! And I was thinking maybe these flowers on this dress could be blue pansies! Who knows? But they’re pretty!

It’s not something I would normally pick, but it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t choose it, as I did choose it. It’s just different to what I normally wear.

This is such a beautiful dress on you – I’ve always felt as though bold shades of blue suit blondes! Great pairing with the mini Valentino too; definitely getting beautiful summer wedding guest vibes!!
