Denim shorts and colours in the woods
Another day, another Summery outfit! We have been quite lucky that the temperatures have been warm enough (amidst the rain showers) to keep on wearing our warm weather clothes. We usually don’t get such a long stretch of hotter weather here in England, but times are definitely changing. Is it wrong of me to get excited about Autumn though? It’s my favourite time of the year, not just because I love the pretty hues from the trees and the crisp fresh air, but because of the fashion. Autumn fashion is the best! It’s funny because I often find myself not buying anything around the end of Summer at all, not consciously, but because I don’t want anymore Summery clothes and I guess I’m eagerly awaiting the cooler months, which is when I end up buying too much because I just love everything. Does anyone else do that?
Before I get to my outfit here, I think this is the first time (off of social media) that you’re seeing my hair this short! I had it cut again a few weeks ago and it now sits above my shoulders at the front and is a bit shorter at the back, as you can see. I’ve not cut my hair this short since I was little, so it’s definitely been a new experience for me, but I adore it! It’s so much easier for me to maintain, which is important. Do you like the new hairstyle? I’m definitely used to it now and I think it shows off the colour nicely.
Now getting to my outfit, I wanted to experiment a bit with layering here so I chose my PAIGE Jimmy Jimmy Denim Shorts to go with an ASOS Top, but layered my Topshop Sleeveless Duster over it for length. In all honesty, I will admit that I generally don’t like wearing shorts anymore as I have a couple of hangups about the backs of my thighs, so if I can wear something longer, I will. For my shoes and accessories, I chose my Kurt Geiger Carvela Platform Sandals and my Louis Vuitton Alma BB in Epi Fuchsia Leather.
Now, did any of you spot that gorgeous bracelet on my wrist? To match the fuchsia of my bag, I wore the Links of London 18kt Rose Gold Vermeil & Fuchsia Cord Mini Friendship Bracelet with some of my others stacked on my wrist. I love it! The Friendship Bracelet from Links of London is hugely popular at the moment, in various sizes, but I think the smaller size like mine is so elegant. I definitely recommend one, in whatever colour you want to choose, for a friend or for yourself. Since the bracelets are adjustable cord too, they fit any wrist perfectly. Isn’t it stunning? I feel like it really finishes my outfit off. I’d love to know what you think of my outfit, do comment and tell me!
