My New Isabel Marant Bekket Sneakers In Khaki

Those of you who know me will know that I have had a little obsession with the Isabel Marant Bekket sneakers for quite some time. I already developed a little collection of hidden heel sneakers or trainers over the past year and a bit, but from brands like Topshop, River Island and ASH. My dream pair was always the Isabel Marant sneakers, but I could never afford their price tag and I always assumed they would be too heavy and bulky for my small legs. I didn’t live anywhere near a place I could try them on, so I always put my lust for them at the back of my mind (even though I would check eBay now and then).

I was out in town with my boyfriend on the weekend and we took a wander into Square Boutique in Bath. I’ve been in their multiple times before as they stock brands like AG Jeans, J Brand, Rag & Bone, Marc Jacobs etc, so it’s always been a store I was fond of. I didn’t know that they had started stocking so many Isabel Marant pieces though! That’s when I saw these! The Isabel Marant Bekket Over Basket Sneakers in Khaki, in the sale! They were literally a dream price, one that I didn’t think I would ever find these shoes at, that’s for sure! I was hoping that they had a size 40 as these run a bit small, but unfortunately they were out of stock, so after trying the 39 and them being quite tight, I put them back on the shelf and left the store. It was unfortunate because they were so flattering and looked amazing.

Just like most things, these were playing on my mind as we were walking away, so after about 10 minutes, we went back to the store and I decided to take them home with me. I thought for the price, I couldn’t say no, even though there’s no returns on sale items. They are quite tight on me and squash my big toes a bit, but I am currently doing the sock trick to stretch my shoes out, in the hope that they will fit me after they give a bit. They are suede, which I know stretches out a huge amount, but these are one of my most coveted shoes and they are so gorgeous in this brown/olive combination that I just don’t want to let them go. I am determined to make them work and I will keep on stretching them as much as possible! Have any of you got the Isabel Marant Bekket sneakers? Even my boyfriend likes these and he generally doesn’t like me in sporty looking shoes! Do you like them? If you do, you can purchase lots of other colour combinations and styles online at stores like Matches, Selfridges and My Theresa.

Isabel Marant sneakers on sale…well done!! I am a fan of her stuff as well. I have khaki Bobbies and black Bluebels. Plus a jacket. I had a pair of black Becketts years ago but they were too young-looking for me (I’m 36!!) so I gave them to my teenage niece. Enjoy and looking forward to seeing how you style them πŸ™‚

I always thought they were cute but I just don’t understand the price tag! I thought Ash were pricier enough for what is simply a pair of sneakers but these were just ridiculous to me. I hope you got a good deal!!

    • January 16, 2014 / 7:19 pm

They did cost me more than the ASH ones, but I did get a great price. As with everything though, you are literally paying for the designer, however these are made really really well, the detailing is intricate and beautiful too!

Hi, I just bought a pair of Bekett’s on sale at Selfridges in size 35 but after wearing them for a day I am in a panic that I bought one size too small!! I was wondering if you have been wearing yours, have they stretched to be more comfortable?? I really hope so! Then we will both be wearing these gorgeous shoes πŸ™‚

    • June 23, 2014 / 1:35 pm

Hi Coco! If you managed to wear them for the day without too much pain, they will stretch out a bit. Mine are actually toe crushing and when I wore them, they gave me blisters. I’ve tried to stretch them out enough to work, but I’ve ended up not wearing them because of how painful they are. They do take a long while to stretch, but mine are definitely too small to stretch out any decent amount πŸ™

Hi im a size UK4 should i go for a size 38 or 39 in these? Thanks xxx

    • May 23, 2015 / 11:17 am

I went one size up, so being a UK 6 (39) I went with a 7 (40). One size up should be enough for you if you are a true 4, go for the 38. Hope they work for you!

    hello. WOW they are supercute!
I also want them !! they are so nice but they are so expensive in my country (Cyprus). I have found them somewhere online sale but size 36, whilst I am usually size 4. What shall I do? Shall i buy them? ;/

    • January 17, 2016 / 3:53 pm

They definitely run a size or two small, so if a 36 is 1-2 sizes bigger than your normal size, it might be ok.

Thanks for your comments =) I read & reply every one =)
