This post has been a bit of a long time coming and I apologise for that. I have just been so busy with other posts, I didn’t have time to put it together. But here are the images from the Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Topman Autumn/Winter 2012 press day which I attended in London last month.
Everything was shown together as it was actually at the Arcadia press event and I definitely saw some cute pieces that I can’t wait for! Especially from Topshop! I have included the images in this post and the text underneath them. I was only allowed to post 5 images from each brand, so unfortunately there are not that many to see, but I did pick my favourite ones of course!
The 5 images above are from the Topshop Autumn/Winter 2012 collection and I fell in love with the studs! I’m sure I don’t need to tell you how much of a studs/spikes fan I am, as I have a lot of clothes and shoes with them on, but those trainers/sneakers and those rings are both on my wish list! I hope those come out sooner rather than later because they are gorgeous! The clothes were very heavily embellished and shiny, definitely different to the usual AW colour palette, but they were pretty! I like the bright make up too and the heavy tribal inspired necklaces.
The 5 images above are from the Miss Selfridge Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. They featured a lot of black and a lot of glam. I felt like they had two collections, one was inspired by the biker chick look and the other was inspired by the glam party girl. There were loads of gorgeous dresses in metallics and they also had a lot of studs and leather style clothes too. Even though these are both at the opposite ends of the scale, I would say that pairing them together, like the jacket with a metallic dress, would just work! I love the combinations. So different but so complimentary. I also really love those peep toe boots! They are amazing.
I don’t usually include men’s, but I know I have some male readers who leave me nice comments, so the 4 images above are from the Topman Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. They had loads of old style blazers and jackets with elbow patches and prints, I especially liked the velvet fuchsia one above with the peacock shirt. I know it’s a crazy combination which probably looks much better on the hanger, but I think on some quirky guys it would work. I adore those wooden beaded bracelets too! I wouldn’t mind owning some of those myself! So what do you think of the collections?
