Boux Avenue Lingerie Boutique Launch With Theo Paphitis

On Thursday last week (24th May 2012), I attended the pre Boux Avenue lingerie boutique launch for press. Theo Paphitis (who you probably know as one of the dragons on Dragons Den) is the founder and owner of the brand and he has been opening new stores all across England. You can see him in the photo above with me and he’s definitely a really nice man, very kind and happy.

Boux Avenue is a new high street lingerie store with a great concept, they start from 30A and go all the way up to 40H, so if you have bigger boobs and struggle to find anything over a D, then this might be the place for you! They have really cute designs and styles as you can see and they also focus on fit. You can get measured properly and know that the bras are comfortable and fitting you really well.

The overall atmosphere of the boutique is really nice. It’s decorated in black and white so the focus is on the product only, and since their pieces are brightly coloured and bold, it really makes the store pretty. They don’t just do lingerie either, they also have other little things like key rings, purses, hand creams, mirrors etc, just little accessories that you might want or need. The changing rooms are wonderful too, they have 3 different light settings so you can see how you look in different lighting. The decor is also very fancy as you can see from my pictures! I had a great time and I’m thankful to his PR team for inviting me to the launch event. I definitely plan on shopping here since La Senza closed down.

Another thing that I love is the packaging. They gift wrap everything with scented rose petals, tissue paper and boxes which they then put in a nice bag. I love the fact that they do this even though their products are high street prices. It really makes you feel like you have bought something special!

I have included some photos below of the store, some of the lingerie, the changing rooms and the official opening event with Theo cutting the big ribbon. You can also see my gift bag at the bottom of this post so you know what the gift wrapping looks like!

I thought these photo frames with underwear sets in were really cool!

I love the neon colours! I’m glad they do underwear in neon too!

As you can see below, they also keep their bras in drawers with sizing on, this is so much easier than scanning through a really long rack to try and find your size. I love this idea!

Of course I had to snap a photo of these adorable denim print boxer shorts!

These giraffe pyjamas are one of the cutest I have seen! They are definitely on my want list!

I love the really pretty light shades above the accessories stand too!

The next few photos are of the changing rooms so you can see how nice they are! I’m always a sucker for thick piled/really plush carpet too and these have just that! I love their floor!

I adore this shop, the changing rooms are absolutely amazing with the three different lighting types! I love their underwear, infact I love it all.

Thanks Joanne :) I don’t actually go to that many, but it seems to be certain times of the year when I do lol. We don’t have VS over here, but I imagine it’s lovely :)

I totally missed La Senza closing down so I guess this will definitely fill that gap – it looks almost identical!

It is quite similar actually! Theo used to own La Senza many years ago, but he sold it a while back, maybe that’s why it closed down lol! But it definitely is quite similar. It’s even in the same shop as La Senza used to be here!
