2 Ways To Style White Jeans & Knitwear

2 Different White Outfits For Spring & Summer With Spring being in full swing, it makes sense to break out the white denim, doesn’t it? Summer is in one month, as it’s mid June when it’s officially Summer here in the UK, and one of the shades we always gravitate towards in the warmer weather is white! I wanted to put two different looks together here, to show you how you can transition a white pair of jeans and a white cropped knit, over the two seasons! There’s one for when it’s a little bit chilly, and one look for when it’s warmer. For the first look, I styled my Abercrombie & Fitch White Skinny Jeans and White Zara Cropped Knit with a Zara Coat that I threw over my shoulders, my Gucci GG Belt, my Alexander McQueen Oversized Sneakers, and my Louis Vuitton Mini Palm Springs Backpack. I think this combines neutrals and tans really nicely, but it’s ideal for a windy day, or a more overcast weather situation (we’re very much used to that here in England, aren’t we?!). The second look is a little more playful, so I styled my Abercrombie & Fitch White Skinny Jeans and White Zara Cropped Knit with my Jacquemus Le Chiquito Noeud Pink Bag, my Gucci GG Belt, and my Alexander McQueen Oversized Sneakers again. So as you can see, all I really did to switch this one up was remove the coat, and bring in a bright pop of pink with my choice in bag. That alone really makes it Summer appropriate because you’re injecting some vibrancy and colour into the…

It’s 11 Years Today, Since I…

…Started Raindrops of Sapphire! I founded this fashion blog on the 10th March 2010 and I cannot believe that 11 years has gone by already. I shot these photos yesterday with my mum, and in all honesty, I had forgotten that it was my blog’s birthday today, but as it turns out, these photos actually ended up being perfect for this personal post. There’s something about them that embodies a more confident, powerful vibe that I’ve been feeling lately. I don’t know if it’s the trousers and heels combination, but I really love how it turned out. I will briefly tell you about the outfit at the bottom of this post, but first, I’ll share my thoughts at the moment with you! Where I’m at right now is definitely a good place, for the most part, but I also have my ups and downs. Like everyone around the whole world has felt this year, it’s been absolutely insane and crazy. None of us could have predicted that we would be in the midst of a global pandemic, and hardly any of us have been able to handle it with grace and positivity. It’s been extremely worrying, depressing, and quite frankly, life changing, especially for myself. I never thought that I’d be celebrating my blog’s 11th birthday this way, especially as the lockdowns have been on and off for a year now, but here we are. One thing that this has taught me is that I shouldn’t take everything for granted. Just the simple act of going out to eat lunch, see my family, and just simply going for a picnic…

The Black & White Plaid Shacket

The Plaid Shacket Outfit Sorry for my little absence the last couple of weeks, I have been really busy working on some other projects which I’m excited about. On an exiting note though, did any of you catch the snow? I finally saw snow for the first time in two years here! Ha ha! It was gone overnight, but I was excited to see it! I went outside at 6am just to take it all in. For this outfit, that I shot a few weeks ago, I was wearing this really cool Zara Black and White Plaid Shacket (which is a term used for shirt jacket) and I layered it over my Knitted Grey Bralet, also from the brand. My jeans are the AGOLDE Riley in Black, which I combined with my ASOS Western Belt, and then finished it all off with my Jimmy Choo Cruz Boots in Anthracite. I like the tough and masculine vibe that this look has, with the oversized shirt, and the looser fitting mom jeans, but I think it’s made feminine with the cropped top, and even though I’m wearing combat boots, they’re extra girly with the crystals on them, so it’s a good mix of feminine and masculine. What’s your opinion on this outfit I put together? And how are you all? Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.

Comfortable in J Brand Kassidy Jeans

(Jeans – Exact & Similar, Top – Similar, Shoes – Exact & Similar) This is just a very comfortable outfit that I wore a couple of weeks ago. I got these gorgeous J Brand Kassidy cargo jeans from Trilogy and they are so nice! Super stretchy, comfortable and soft and they can be worn with both flats and heels! I decided to pair them with my Zara yellow sweater (yes, you have seen this in multiple colours!) and then my Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100 heels in Black! It’s a super simple outfit, I didn’t even wear any jewellery, but I think the red lipstick really makes it pop that little bit extra! Don’t forget to enter my Ray-Ban Mirrored Aviator Sunglasses giveaway! You can win one of three colours; red, green or blue, and I’ve already received a tonne of entries! It’s free to enter and you can enter by clicking here! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Do you have anything fun planned? As always though, comment and let me know what you think of my outfit! I would love to know your thoughts on something this casual!

Simply Green & Black

(Top – Similar, Leggings – Exact & Similar, Shoes – Exact, Bag – Exact) After my trip to London last week, I wanted to wear something comfortable for traveling back home, albeit this outfit. There’s nothing I dislike more than being uncomfortable and restricted when it comes to journeys in cars and trains. If the surroundings sort of look familiar to you, that’s because we shot these photos when I arrived home, not before. Plus, a couple of shots I was caught Instagramming (@LornaRaindrops) as usual! I wore my Zara knitted green jumper/sweater with my Denimocracy Anarchy knit leggings in Onyx. I actually have 4 of these jumpers in different colours as I love them so much! I have pink, black, yellow and this green one. They were super cheap and are incredibly comfortable! Of course you have seen these leggings before too, they have been a pair that I always drift towards when it comes to thicker and comfortable leggings. They are perfect! For my shoes, I wore my Isabel Marant Bekket sneakers in Black and you actually haven’t seen these before. You have seen my Khaki version, but I got the black a couple of months ago on eBay for a great price as it’s much more classic. They are way more versatile to wear with numerous things. I said that I would tell you about the holdall that I took with me for the weekend for my trip to London, so here it is! It’s the Nica Christine Weekender bag in Pink Tulip and it was such a life saver! It’s big enough to fit 2 pairs…

Pastel Blue & Pollen Buff

(Jeans – Exact & Similar, Coat – Exact & Similar, Top – Similar, Bag – Exact, Boots – Similar) I wore this outfit over the weekend while I was out with my boyfriend. You may recognise this coat as it’s almost identical to my yellow Zara coat, just without the pocket! It fits the same and I love pastel blue at the moment as I’m sure you have already noticed! I decided that one thing I needed to stock up on was some pretty coats as being a UK fashion blogger often means they are what I have to wear on a daily basis! I layered my new blue Zara zippered coat over my Topshop cream peplum top as I love how peplum fits! It’s so flattering to the figure in my opinion! For my jeans, I went with my new dream jeans which I am in love with! My Rag & Bone The Skinny in Sonoma! I got these a couple of weeks ago and have been living in them as they are so perfectly fitted! I originally fell for the wash when I saw it in Harvey Nichols 2 months or so ago. They really are incredible and I recommend them to anyone! They always have such great washes and fits. I tucked them into my old River Island boots and then, for my bag, I wore something brand new that you haven’t yet seen! My 3.1 Phillip Lim Mini Pashli in Pollen Buff! Isn’t it beautiful? I got it on Shopbop when they had a discount code as I had always wanted a Mini Pashli. I wasn’t…

The Pastel Pink Zara Coat With Grey Skinny Jeans

(Coat – Similar & Similar, Jeans – Exact, Tee – Exact, Boots – Exact, Bag – Similar, Watch – Exact, Necklace – Similar) I wore this outfit over the weekend when I went out to lunch and did some light shopping with my boyfriend. I got this stunning pastel pink coat from Zara when I saw it online last week, I ordered it the same time I ordered a blue version of my yellow coat and I couldn’t love them more! This coat is so beautiful! The colour is perfect for my paler skin tone and it actually matches a lot of things, however I decided to go with a grey theme. I wore my 7 For All Mankind grey skinny jeans with my Topshop grey tee and Kurt Geiger Winona boots. I think grey and pink is a great combination and it wasn’t really something I thought about wearing until I wore my grey and pink outfit under the blossom tree a few weeks ago. On to my accessories, I chose my Mulberry Lily in candy pink denim, a Topshop cross necklace and some various bracelets. The best thing of all though is this new arm candy! I got this gorgeous Caravelle Melissa watch from Shade Station last week and it’s beautiful! Rose gold is one of my favourites and I wasn’t very familiar with the brand before, but it’s so pretty! I love the face of it and how delicate it is, it’s not too big or too small, so it’s the perfect size! You will definitely be seeing a lot more of this watch in my outfits…

The Black, The White & The Red

(Jeans – Exact, Blazer – Similar, Top – Exact, Shoes – Exact, Bag – Exact, Necklace – Exact) You may have noticed that I haven’t made a post in a couple of days, but that’s because I have some exciting news! You have probably seen it already since you are reading this, but I spent the last two days changing my blogs layout. I’m really happy with it now and I think it looks a lot more sleek and clean. It has a lot of new features, so my menu bar is now at the top of the screen and it’s much more interactive. I’ve split my outfits into seasons, I have personal posts accessible like updates, videos, inspiration etc, I also have beauty and general fashion categories, so you can easily access posts on my shoes, bags, watches, sunglasses, wellies, gift guides, DIY etc and I’ve set up a better shop system and my top posts are now in a drop down! Not only that, but I have a newer and cleaner banner with the text incorporated as well as accessible sections of my personal style blog in the sidebar. I really do think it looks a lot better and more functional! What do you think? Now onto my outfit, I’ve been waiting a little while to post this one! I decided to go with a red, black and white theme a few weeks ago, before I bought my new Christian Louboutin Pigalle in Black, but the weather was terrible so it wasn’t possible to shoot the photos. It worked out well in a way because it meant I…
