A Dusky Rose Puffer Vest Outfit

A Dusky Pink Puffer Vest Outfit Happy Saturday everyone! I have one week left here in the United States and then I’m heading back home to England! The time has flown by, even though it feels like I have been here forever, the two months went by pretty fast at the same time. I’m not sure how that works, but it has. Has that ever happened to any of you? Fast, but also slow? Here are some more photos that I shot in the first snow! Since then, it has snowed a huge amount more! It’s been extremely cold and we’ve had deep snow for days, so I used that opportunity to shoot more pictures in the snow, and those will be shared here soon! In the meantime though, for this outfit, I was wearing my 525 Roll Neck Knit, my American Eagle High Rise Jeggings (I’m obsessed with these!) and my Aeropostale Pink Puffer Vest, which I absolutely love! I finished it off with my Topshop Blush Pink Bobble Hat. I was looking for a puffer vest for months, one that was slim fitting, one that was in a dusky shade of pink that I absolutely love, and I found it on Aeropostale! It was super cheap too! Can you believe it was only $11? It’s great as well! I definitely recommend it for the cheap price! I hadn’t heard of the brand before, until I came here to Ohio, but it’s pretty cool! I’ve definitely realised that pink, cream, brown, light warm shades really suit my skin complexion the best, so I tend to gravitate towards them. What…

Winter Fairisle Knit In The Snow

Winter Fairisle Knit In The Snow It snowed! Albeit quite lightly, but nonetheless, it snowed! And that’s a win to me! I’ve been in Ohio since December 5th and I’m being stiffed when it comes to snow, ha ha. Usually they have Winter storms here and lots of deep snow, but I am yet to experience any of that and it’s almost time for me to go home at the end of this month! I have had to make do with this snowfall so far, but I am hoping for a lot more in the coming weeks! Although knowing my luck, it wont happen until I leave, ha ha. This outfit that I’m wearing here is one that I mostly bought while here. The Fairisle Knit and the High Rise Jeggings are by American Eagle, and I adore them! The jeans might be my new favourite! I literally cannot get enough of their jegging jeans! They couldn’t fit more perfectly! The Boot Socks that I’m wearing are also by American Eagle, and I tucked them into my Furry Lined Dr. Marten Boots! I then finished it all off with my Hollister Brown Parka Coat that I picked up just before leaving England, as I knew I needed some really warm clothing for Ohio in the Winter, and it hasn’t let me down. Speaking of the temperatures, it was unusually warm for Winter here for a while, and then a few days ago it started shifting to freezing! We’re talking -12 and -15 on the weather app, but feeling like -18 or lower. This is a kind of cold I have…

All Black At An American Mall

How To Wear All Black Properly Hey everyone! I took a little 10 day break so that I could rest after the holiday, but I’m back now! These photos were shot here in Ohio over the Christmas period, hence the Christmas tree and decorations in the background, and I thought they made a great contrast to my all black outfit. There was also a gorgeous brick wall in the mall, and that was just as pleasing to the eye, if not better! It’s crazy just how fast everything has gone though, it’s the 10th already and it feels like Christmas was just last week! Anyway, getting to my outfit, I was wearing my Allsaints Balfern Leather Jacket, which I layered over an Allsaints Star Sheer Blouse. I also wore my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite, and threw on my Saint Laurent West Harness Boots in Black. I then finished it all off with my Saint Laurent 5 a 7 Bag, to complete everything, and I really adore how it looks! I loved it so much that I wore this exact outfit again to the New Years Eve celebrations downtown! The key to getting an entire black ensemble right is by mixing the different mediums/textures. I’ve got denim, leather, metal, and sheer fabric here, and they all work harmoniously together because they bring so much depth to the all black. The same thing with proportions of the pieces, creating different lines, curvatures, and elements. This is definitely how you go about wearing head to toe black and making it look chic, rather than really drab and boring. It’s all in…

The Black & White Plaid Shacket

The Plaid Shacket Outfit Sorry for my little absence the last couple of weeks, I have been really busy working on some other projects which I’m excited about. On an exiting note though, did any of you catch the snow? I finally saw snow for the first time in two years here! Ha ha! It was gone overnight, but I was excited to see it! I went outside at 6am just to take it all in. For this outfit, that I shot a few weeks ago, I was wearing this really cool Zara Black and White Plaid Shacket (which is a term used for shirt jacket) and I layered it over my Knitted Grey Bralet, also from the brand. My jeans are the AGOLDE Riley in Black, which I combined with my ASOS Western Belt, and then finished it all off with my Jimmy Choo Cruz Boots in Anthracite. I like the tough and masculine vibe that this look has, with the oversized shirt, and the looser fitting mom jeans, but I think it’s made feminine with the cropped top, and even though I’m wearing combat boots, they’re extra girly with the crystals on them, so it’s a good mix of feminine and masculine. What’s your opinion on this outfit I put together? And how are you all? Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.

My Subtle, Yet Stylish Festive Outfit

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! Merry Christmas Eve! I’m not posting on the actual day, so that’s why I’m wishing you all a very Happy Christmas right now! If you are able to celebrate it, as I know there’s a lot in the UK who are in Tier 4 and aren’t allowed. The times are really hard right now, but I feel like now is the time where we really need to appreciate what we have, the meaning of friends and family, and not taking things for granted. Even just the everyday, simple things like going to the shop, it’s to be appreciated. I also have a couple of posts coming up before December ends, including a roundup of my outfits from 2020, so definitely keep checking back! That will be on the 27th and the 31st! Now getting to my outfit here, I was wearing my old Topshop Rainbow Metallic Jumper/Sweater (which you have seen before here and here). I styled it with my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Coated Black, as I think this jumper looks amazing with waxed jeans! I then added some festive sparkle with my Jimmy Choo Cruz Boots in Anthracite, and finished it off with my ASOS Western Belt, that I have worn numerous times before. In the past, I have worn an Elf costume or a Mrs. Santa suit, and even some crazy Christmas jumpers, but this year, I wanted to keep it a little more classy, a little more muted, and more matching of my personality at the moment. The jumper itself is knitted with gold metallic threads, so it actually sparkles really nicely…

The Checked Burberry Scarf Outfit

Oversized Burberry Scarf With A White Borg Coat Can you believe that September is almost upon us? This year has been one of the fastest years I have ever experienced. I know that’s due to Coronavirus and being in lock down for most of it, and everything still not fully being back to normal, but it’s still shocking how fast it’s gone. Summer is pretty much over, if this current weather is anything to go by, and I’m looking forward to wearing my Autumn clothes again! Things of course will be a little different now though since Adam and I aren’t working together anymore, so we will see how my photos turn out going forward. Speaking of Autumn though, here’s a set of photos that I held back from March! I was wearing my Topshop White Borg Coat, that I purchased in January and absolutely adore! I layered it over one of my cream coloured roll neck sweaters, and went with my basic L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite. I know, you guys are gonna be sick of these soon, ha ha! I swear by them though, and live in them, so I recommend them (click here to buy them) as the best black skinny! Now getting to the brown accents and what I think pulls the outfit together, I went with my brown Sam Edelman Boots, and finished it off with this gorgeous Burberry Oversized Checked Cashmere Scarf. I actually purchased this scarf in London back in October, and I think it complements my skin tone and style perfectly! I couldn’t love it more if I tried! When I…

Stuart Weitzman Lowland Boots Outfit

Stuart Weitzman Lowland Boots With A Grey Coat Back in early January, when it was pretty cold, we shot these photos around by the Bath Spa in town and I really liked how they came out. They had more of a darker, arty vibe to them, but it was a struggle posing for too long as I remember my hands being absolutely freezing! This was an outfit that I had kind of put together on a whim, but when it comes to grey and black, you can’t really go wrong pairing various shades like that together. I was wearing my REISS Scarlet Teddy Coat that I absolutely adore and wear constantly in the wintertime, because it’s so roomy and perfect for layering, but also really smart and classy. I layered it over a simple grey Topshop knit, and tucked that into my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Grey. I finished it off with my Stuart Weitzman Lowland Boots in Black, that I got last year, and added in my Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour Bag in Grey. As much as I love the design of Stuart Weitzman boots, I find them pretty uncomfortable. Does anyone else? The stiff back of the heel tends to rub against my heel and cause some discomfort, and that disappoints me given the price of them, but I put up with it because they’re so pretty! Anyway, this outfit is more of a casual take on one that I wore previously (see it here). Instead of flat boots, I opted for heeled ones and a Chanel bag, so please do let me know which…

Contemplation

I know that I’ve been quite quiet on the blog scene and social media scene, and I did explain to you in a past post that I’m going through a lot at the moment, which is still true. I’m getting there slowly though, but I’m sure a lot of you can relate, and it’s tough, when your mind and head space are completely fried. That’s the reason I have been finding it hard to sit and write to you all, because I can’t even navigate my own thoughts and feelings on a day to day basis, let alone write them down constructively, which is why I just decided to start typing, and see what happens. All I know at the moment is that I really want to travel to the United States. I want to visit a few states there and experience so much of America that I have been dreaming to do my whole life. Of course I am nervous of flying, but I want to be able to just get on the plane and do it. I decided that I can’t really just sit at home all the time and do nothing, now is about travelling and experiencing culture, which I am excited to do. There’s a new chapter in my life that’s about to begin and I’m both nervous and excited for it to begin, but getting used to my current situation is definitely a shock to my system. How are you all coping right now with the lock down and the virus? For us, we’re still in lock down for a while and I’m just coping…
