Drip, Drip, Drip Little April Showers

Jeans –¬†Similar, Wellies – Exact, Cardigan – Similar, Hat – Exact, Bag – Exact, Umbrella – Similar Before I post anymore photos from London, I wanted to share with you another outfit as it’s been a little while since I posted one. Sorry about that! These photos were taken just over a week ago on a rainy day, but to me there’s nothing I love more than brightening up dull days! Bright colours really make me happy and I love being able to contradict the normal black and grey people tend to opt for when it rains. I chose to wear my Rag & Bone skinny jeans in Sonoma again as you know how much I have fallen in love with these jeans! I tucked them into my trusty Hunter Original Tall Navy Gloss wellies as these literally get me through any rainy day as they go with all my jeans! To liven things up a little bit, I went for a bright pink cardigan which I have had for years from H&M, layered over one of their softer pink tees and a pink and clear umbrella from Topshop to match! For my bag, I chose my Cambridge Satchel in Honeysuckle (which is embossed in gold) to add a bit of colour blocking and then topped it off with this gorgeous hat from Mabe by London! I got to choose this one from the site and it’s all hand knitted! I absolutely adore it because the pom pom on top is huge and it really makes it fun! I think the pink and grey colour scheme of it suits my…

Winter Walks In Black Hunter Wellies

(Jeans – Exact, Gilet – Similar, Hoody – Similar, Wellies – Exact, Socks – Exact, Hat – Similar) This is the outfit that I wore on Sunday when I was out with my boyfriend for a walk. The weather wasn’t so good, naturally, and it was quite muddy in some areas, so we didn’t really stay out for a long time. I was wearing my James Jeans Couture Skinny Jeans in Black (yes, I own these in numerous washes!) which I paired with my Topshop Burgundy Gilet. I layered that over a t-shirt and a warm grey hoody from Topshop. For my footwear, I wore my new Hunter Original Tall Wellies in Black which I bought in a size up to accommodate warm socks! I recently got a pair of the Hunter socks in black and in dark ruby, so I can wear them with a variety of different outfits. Since it’s been so windy, I decided to put my hair in a braid and then put my burgundy cable knit hat from Topshop on top, to keep my head warm and stop my hair from straying everywhere and getting knotty. There’s nothing worse for me than my hair flying in my face and tangling up. What do you think of this casual outfit? Comment and let me know!

Jewel Tones On A Rainy Day

(Jeans – Exact, Jacket – Exact, T-Shirt – Exact, Bag – Similar, Wellies – Exact & Exact) Rain, rain and more rain, is all it still keeps doing! I think this has been one of the craziest winters that I have ever experienced in my 25 years actually. It’s not really all that cold, which is very unusual for England too! Anyway, in my attempt to brighten up a rainy day, I went for a jewel tone colour scheme! I wore my James Jeans Couture Skinny Jeans which I tucked into my Hunter Dark Ruby Gloss Short Wellies. I find these shorter wellies are more practical for wearing around town as they aren’t so big, plus I do adore the colour. I matched them with my H&M t-shirt which is a similar shade and then wore my French Connection Athena Faux Leather Biker Jacket in Black over the top. Just to add some more colour to the mix, I then wore my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Sycamore as I think yellow really livens the combination of burgundy and black up. I usually like to have a bright and colourful umbrella too, like the one in my banner, but I decided on a clear one for this outfit as the other colours wouldn’t really match too well! On a different note, I have something very exciting to share with you next week that I can’t wait to say! I know you will love it too! If you follow me on Instagram though (@LornaRaindrops) then you might already have had a clue as to what it might be! Any guesses? What do…

Braving The Rain In Navy

(Jeans – Exact, Blazer – Exact, Wellies – Exact, Scarf – Exact) Firstly I’m going to start this post by saying please do excuse my hair here! As you know from me saying time and time again, it’s just so windy and rainy here all the time now, it’s sort of become difficult to take my photos not in the rain. So yeah, my hair is damp and frizzy from the wet and the wind, which is why it looks a complete state, ha ha. I did have my big parka coat on as well with the hood up and buttoned up to the top, to keep me warm and dry, but it didn’t look so good for the photos, which is why I took it off. I’m wearing my new Zara Navy Blue Blazer which I got in the sale a couple of weeks ago. It has the most amazing burgundy elbow patches which I think really make the jacket! It’s really traditional since it’s a wool blazer, but I feel like the colour combination of it just makes it current and modern. I paired the blazer with my Diesel Skinzee Skinny Jeans as I love pairing dark navy blue with lighter blue, to keep the colour theme, but give it a contrast. Of course I had to wear my trusty Hunter Original Tall Navy Gloss Wellies again as I pretty much can’t leave the house without them at the moment and then I threw on my new Zara Burgundy and Navy Scarf for warmth. I also picked this up in the sale for a great price and it’s…

Burgundy Fair Isle & Navy Gloss Hunter Wellies

(Jeans – Similar, Gilet – Similar, Wellies – Exact, Hat – Similar, Gloves – Similar) I hope you all had a really nice Christmas! I’ve taken a much needed break the last two days and have enjoyed spending quiet time just playing games and watching a lot of TV! I am definitely planning on doing a blog post from Christmas day with my presents and things, but I wont be able to do that until next week as my boyfriend has the camera. I took these photos last week when I was in town for a short while. I’ve taken to wearing wellies/rain boots a lot lately as it’s just been pouring down with rain all the time. Shortly after we took these photos it started to rain again, so they are a popular choice among my footwear currently. I also wanted to say that I hope none of you have been affected by the small hurricane weather we have been having, I know so many have lost homes and businesses and had to be evacuated and rescued on Christmas day, my gran is included in that which I’m so upset about. Unfortunately her home has been flooded completely and she doesn’t have a house at the moment, so I know how bad everything has been this Christmas time and unfortunately the weather isn’t getting any better either. But I just wanted to say that I hope you are all safe and doing ok! For this outfit, I wore my AG Adriano Goldschmied The Legging jeans in 12 Years Dwight with a simple long sleeved white tee from ASOS and…

Autumn Walks With Hunter Dark Ruby Gloss Wellies

(Jeans – Similar, Gilet – Similar, Wellies – Exact & Exact, Cardigan – Similar) Those of you who live here in England are probably aware that the weather has been absolutely awful, it’s been pouring with rain most days and really windy. Usually this upsets me a lot as I can’t wear the outfits that I want to, but lately I have kind of been excited by it. It means that I get to wear my wellies and don’t have to worry about ruining my shoes. I got these new Hunter Short Boot Wellies in Dark Ruby Gloss (similar here) a couple of weeks ago after seeing them online. As you know I have the Tall Navy Gloss Hunter Wellies already, but since a lot of my clothes are burgundy, I wanted a pair to tie in with that colour. I was toying with the idea of getting the taller boots, but I thought having a shorter pair would be a good choice so that I have one of each, plus they end up showing more of my jeans and not being too overwhelming. The colour of these is amazing, it’s like a dark burgundy, but with purple in it, so it’s a beautiful rich shade. I definitely recommend this colour if you are looking into buying a pair of Hunter rain boots! If anyone is wondering about sizing, I’m usually a size UK 6 in most shoes and boots and I take a 6 in my Hunter wellies, but I can’t wear them with socks because they end up being too tight. If you are between sizes, I definitely…

Wearing Wellingtons For The Rain

(Jeans – Similar, Cardigan – Exact, Scarf – Similar, Wellies – Exact, Ring – Exact) You all probably know by now that I’m not really a spur of the moment type of girl, I’m one that always likes to be prepared for things, one of those things is often the weather. Being British, we are known for constantly having endless amounts of rain and the forecast lately has been just that. It’s been pouring down every single day. I wore this outfit on Saturday when I went out for a quick lunch with my boyfriend. I needed some fresh air to help clear my congestion, but I knew it was going to rain which is why I wore my Hunter Wellies in Navy Gloss again and actually took an umbrella. My boyfriend thought I was crazy for wearing them and told me to leave the umbrella in the car, but since I like to be prepared, I didn’t. It’s a good job I took them though because a little while after we took these photos it literally bucketed down and one umbrella wasn’t enough, ha ha. I wore my Diesel Fayza Boyfriend Jeans in 0800U with my Hunter Wellies (similar here) as I just wanted something incredibly comfortable and soft. These are the jeans that I bought at the Diesel outlet last month. They were such a great investment as I have worn them so much. The wash is gorgeous and the comfort is incredible! They are so casual! I chose a classic H&M tank top in white as a base to go with them, but then wore my new…

Brightening Up A Rainy Day With Rainbows

(Jeans – Exact, Cardigan – Exact, Wellies – Exact, Umbrella – Exact, Bracelets – Exact) Unfortunately at the moment I have flu, or a really really bad cold. I feel terrible and have barely slept for two days due to aching all over, congestion and a pounding head. I haven’t been sick like this for almost two years though, so I was doing pretty well, but since every single person I know, in person and online, has had this illness or currently do have it, I think it was pretty unavoidable. I just hope it goes away really soon, it’s driving me crazy. Have any of you come down with it too? Luckily I took this outfit over the weekend as I’m not able to take any now. It was raining, as it seems to be every single day, but I thought I would go against the odds and really brighten up such a miserable and wet day. You probably recognise this umbrella from my banner, but I thought I would showcase it properly in an outfit post as it’s one of my favourite ones. It’s so bright and pretty. I put the link of where you can buy it too, as I actually purchased it from China on eBay surprisingly. For my outfit, I chose to wear my trusty James Jeans Couture Jeans in Vesper as I absolutely adore these! They are my favourite dark blue jeans that I own. I couldn’t be without them! I paired the jeans with my Hunter Original Tall Wellies in Navy Gloss since it was pouring with rain, I didn’t want to get…
