Damson In Distress

Hunter Damson Gloss Wellies with shearling and denim I have one last set of shots to share with you from before I had my hair cut and this is it. The look that I styled with my new Hunter Original Tall Wellies in Damson Gloss. I know you have seen a preview of these already since I shared my Hunter wellies collection with you, but you never got to see the full look. I think it might be safe to say that I am a little bit addicted to rain boots, considering how many pairs I own and how many more I want to add to my collection, but living in England means I use them frequently since it’s often raining. My wellies and rain coats are some of my go to pieces the majority of the time! So for this outfit, I styled my wellies with my classic and trusty Citizens of Humanity Rocket jeans in Axel as I wanted black to pop with the red. These jeans have got me through everything! I always reach for them when I want a classic and clean black as I’m sure you have noticed. I then wore my leafy green long sleeve top from GAP and layered my Zara faux fur shearling jacket over the top. This outfit really reminds me of a classic country girl look and it is something that I wear quite often on my non photo days! What do you think of it and do you like my new red wellies? As always, do comment and let me know as I love reading and replying to your…

My Hunter Wellies/Rain Boots Collection

My Hunter Wellies & Rain Boots Collection This post has been a long time coming! I know a lot of you wanted to see my Hunter wellies/rain boots collection though, so I have finally put one together for you all. I now have 6 pairs of Hunter wellies in total, including Navy Gloss, Cocoa Gloss, Ruby Gloss, Damson Gloss, Black Matte and Aubergine Matte. I of course would still love to expand my collection though, as I would love to add bright yellow gloss to it too! I think the bright yellow version is amazing, it would match my yellow raincoat so well. You might also like my previous post on how to clean your wellies if you are a wellies fan! Anyway, enjoy my collection photos here! I’d love to know which pair of wellies you love the most too!

How To Clean Your Wellies & Rain Boots

How to clean your wellies and rain boots A lot of you know by now that I have quite a collection of wellies/rain boots. It’s currently standing at 6 pairs, but it’s soon to be 7 with a new Damson pair on the way! Being a country girl means that I get to wear my wellies quite often as it’s usually muddy and wet around these parts of England, so I thought it would be a good idea to share tips on how to clean your wellies when they get dirty and how to get that glossy shine back! Why is cleaning wellies so important? It is important to clean your wellies, especially ones made from natural rubber as this helps to protect the rubber from perishing. Some companies supply a treatment spray for rubber wellies to further protect them from perishing too, so it’s good to keep the rubber in tip top condition to make them last longer. I’ve written this post with one of my good friends, Ben (who loves wellies too), so we have both shared our advice on what we do to keep our wellies in good condition and gleaming! Ben’s way is the more professional approach, going by the guidelines from Hunter Boots themselves, where as my way is the lazy persons way! Enjoy!

Coachella Festival Inspired With Wellies

Festival inspired denim shorts with a flower crown and wellies I’ve never been to Coachella before, neither have I been to Glastonbury, but I used to go to my local music festivals when I was younger and really liked them. It’s probably a little too crowded for my liking these days and too many people all in one place for me, but I absolutely adore music. The whole wave of emotions it can give you, the way your body responds to it (like I can’t stop bopping about anytime I hear Shake It Off, ha ha), so, in light of it being Coachella right now, I thought I would do a music festival inspired outfit! The weathers been warming up nicely and it seemed really fitting! I started out with my Topshop Crochet Denim Shorts which I paired with their white cropped top, then layered on my River Island Waterfall Cardigan as the shorts are too short to not have anything covering behind. This made the base of the look, but seeing as I live in the UK, I thought it was more suitable to add my Hunter Original Tall Gloss Wellies to the look like they do at Glastonbury, since it’s usually wet and muddy here. I’ve actually never worn shorts with my wellies before, but I think it’s something I will have to do more of! To really accessorize it, I went with lots of jewellery from various shops like ASOS and Topshop, then chose my purple Ray-Ban Erika Velvet Sunglasses and then finally a DIY Flower Crown. I made this by attaching lots of flower clips to…

Just Another Kind Of Wellies Day

AG Legging Jeans with a burgundy gilet and my Hunter wellies It’s been pretty rainy here lately in England, a lot more than usual, but I suppose that’s normal since it’s coming up to the April showers season! It’s supposed to rain for the whole weekend too which might make the outfit shoots I had planned a bit difficult, so fingers crossed for me that it’s ok! I attended Bristol Fashion Week on Wednesday and had a great time! It was hosted by Lucy Watson (Made in Chelsea) and ITV stylist, Mark Heyes, plus I got to see my fashion blogger friends again! I will be doing a post on this next week though, so stay tuned for that one! Getting to my outfit, as the rain showers have been off and on, it was easier to shoot these photos quickly as it had stopped for a while. I chose to wear my trusty Hunter Original Tall Navy Gloss Wellies (buy these wellies online here) which I tucked my AG The Legging Skinny Jeans into (buy similar jeans here) and paired with a GAP Long Sleeve Grey Tee and my Topshop Burgundy Padded Gilet, finally finished with my Urban Outfitters Gloves. I absolutely adore wellies as you know, I have quite a collection now, so I love it when it rains and I’m able to wear them and go splashing in the puddles if I want to! That’s one of the benefits of being a country blogger, nobody looks at you strangely when you are in wellies! Anyway, let me know what you think of my outfit! I would love…

Lets Splash About On A Country Walk

(Wellies – Exact, Jeans – Exact & Similar, Jacket – Exact, Hat – Exact) As most of you know already, I live in the countryside and am surrounded by a lot of farm land and nature, so instead of doing a regular outfit post like fashion bloggers always do, I thought it might be nice to share with you something more in the lifestyle department. I love to go on walks and explore my surroundings, so this time we took the camera with us! This is me dressed in my countryside attire, ha ha. This always includes a pair of Hunter wellies so I don’t worry where I tread, and trust me, you can step in a lot of bad things lol, coupled with a windbreaker and waterproof jacket, this one being from Peter Storm, and a pair of warm jeans, like my Citizens of Humanity Rocket jeans, finally finished with a hat, this one being from Topshop. Depending on the weather I sometimes have gloves and a scarf with me, to keep me warm. I actually got these Hunter boots and the Peter Storm jacket from the popular outdoors store, Blacks. Some of you might already know it, but if you don’t, they are great for having everything you need when out and about in the country, so it’s really nice to be able to collaborate with them. Getting to the scenery though, I’ve taken a few photos of the stream/brook near me and of my adventures, so I hope you enjoy them! And of course, if you are wearing wellies, how can you not splash about in water?!…

Cocoa And Khaki

(Jeans – Similar & Similar, Coat – Exact & Similar, Wellies – Similar & Similar) It’s been a little while since I posted something casual featuring a pair of wellies here on my blog, but I did wear my new Hunter Original Tall wellies in Cocoa Gloss last month when it was raining. These are a strange colour in person as sometimes they are brown and then other times they are more green, so I think the Cocoa name was very accurate. I didn’t have a pair of brown wellies, so I was on the lookout for a pair for ages. I’m glad that I came across these! I paired them with my 7 For All Mankind raw hem skinny jeans (similar here) and my Zara faux fur parka coat. This is just something really warm and casual for a quick day out running errands and stopping for lunch. On a side note, when February hits, there are going to be some changes to my blog in terms of content. I’m going to be adding in depth reviews of things I buy, like bags, shoes etc and I’m also going to be making sure that my outfit posts are the best they can possibly be as I’m going for a more professional feel. I really hope you will enjoy it! Let me know what you think of my outfit though! I would love to know what other fashion bloggers think of my wellies!

Jazzing Up A Country Walk With Leather & Wellies

(Jeans – Similar, Wellies – Exact, Top – Similar, Scarf – Similar, Hat – Similar) Since I live in the countryside, being surrounded by the fields and trees is something that I am used to. Going for walks and generally enjoying the scenery is what I do quite often when the weather is nice, but I don’t always document it since I just wear wellies, jeans and a jumper, nothing fancy. However, on the weekend, I thought I would jazz my country walk attire up a little and make it different, make it worthy of it fashion blog. The key element is always finding something comfortable and stretchy to wear, so instead of my usual jeans, I opted for my MET Black Faux Leather skinny jeans. You would be surprised that these are actually really stretchy and comfortable, all while keeping you warm, so they are a great option for walking! You wouldn’t think it though would you? I paired them with my older Zara burgundy top and then layered my Topshop leopard print scarf around my shoulders and neck. I didn’t want to wear this scarf the usual way, I wanted the print to show a lot more which is why I wore it this way instead. I tucked my leather jeans into my trusty Hunter Original Tall Wellies in Black as I can’t be without these! You never know when it might rain, get muddy or dirty! For my accessories, I wore one of my Autumn hats in Aubergine, which I got a while back and had my hair in a side braid to go with it. I…
