Michael Kors Chronograph Watch Styled As His And Hers

I’m sure most of you know by now that I don’t usually worry what gender things were designed for, if I like something, then I will wear it. That’s exactly why I adore this Michael Kors Chronograph watch that I got a couple of weeks ago. It’s a men’s watch and it is quite big, but I adore the silver with the metallic blue face, I think it’s gorgeous! I wanted to make this post a little different though and show how it can work for a woman as well as a man, that’s why I have taken photos of the watch styled on my wrist as well as my boyfriends wrist. I do own another Michael Kors watch too, the Slim Runway in Silver, so I thought it would be nice to do a little his and hers photo of us both wearing Michael Kors watches. It’s pretty isn’t it? I’m also going to be holding an exclusive Twitter contest with Watches2U very soon, so you can win your dream watch! Stay tuned for that and make sure you are following me on Twitter so you are in the know! I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Lorna Burford x Storm Watches

(Dress – Exact, Jacket – Exact, Shoes – Similar, Watch – Exact, Necklace – Similar, Rings – Exact) I’m really excited to finally be able to share this little collaboration with Storm watches with you! Those of you who follow me on Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) will know that I posted a sneak preview of this watch and its box a couple of weeks ago, but I’m finally able to share the full post with you! I got this gorgeous Storm Misky Watch in Ice from the company and the idea behind it was to show how I wear it and style it. I’m a huge addict of watches now and have developed quite a collection, but this one is gorgeous! The face actually changes colour in the light from pink to green and to ice blue. Having this gorgeous iridescent face against the silver bracelet and casing is so pretty. I’ve got a habit at the moment of tilting it and turning it just to see the colours, ha ha. It’s truly beautiful. For my outfit, I wore a blue floral print dress from ASOS which I picked up in the sale a few weeks ago. It is a Summer dress, but I think if you pair it with the right clothes, it can easily be transitioned into Autumn, like I did here. To suit the season, I wore my floral dress with my new French Connection black faux leather jacket. I cuffed the sleeves a little so my bracelets and watch could be seen, but I think adding a black leather jacket over a floral dress really tones it down…

My New Michael Kors Slim Runway Silver Watch

I ordered this gorgeous Michael Kors Slim Runway watch in silver just over a week ago and it arrived at the beginning of this week. I was looking for a new watch in silver as all of my other watches are gold or rose gold. When I was browsing on Shopbop, I saw this Michael Kors watch and absolutely fell in love with it. I do love it in the gold version as well, however since I wanted silver, I opted for this one. It’s actually quite light weight for a metal watch, in comparison to my Marc by Marc Jacobs Blade Chrono in rose gold, it’s a lot slimmer and a lot lighter, which is great. It’s my first Michael Kors watch as well. Which is surprising isn’t it? Michael Kors is always known for making amazing watches, especially in rose gold, so I am happy to finally own one of his watches! Since the two rings that I always wear everyday are silver, I think this can be a watch that looks good worn on its own with just those rings or when paired with bracelets, which I always love to do. Speaking of bracelets, I got given these gorgeous neon green, yellow and blue bracelets from Kutula Kiss! They are so pretty! They are designed really well and have gorgeous colours to them, which I think match absolutely perfectly with the Michael Kors Slim Runway watch in silver. I love the little beads on a couple of the bracelets too! Do you like them? I definitely want to own some more of the Kutula Kiss bracelets in…

WIN A Beautiful Daniel Wellington Swedish Watch

It’s time for another giveaway! One of my favourite watch companies, Daniel Wellington, is giving one of you the chance to WIN one of their watches! I held a contest with Daniel Wellington previously, for their tan leather strap and rose gold watch, but this time I have their beautiful purple tone stripe strap with a yellow gold face and I love it! Swedish born Daniel Wellington, always has that nautical sailor inspired theme within their watches and these straps are so comfortable and light weight, it doesn’t even feel like you are wearing a watch! I’m really excited about teaming up with Daniel Wellington again for this giveaway as it’s a brand I absolutely love and think deserves more recognition! You can also see how this beautiful purple watch was styled by another fashion blogger here. All you have to do to enter this contest is become a fan of both the Raindrops of Sapphire and Daniel Wellington Facebook pages (click names to fan) and then leave a comment on THIS PHOTO (click words to get to the photo) saying why you should win. It’s as simple as that! For a bonus entry, please share the post on your Facebook page with your friends! The contest will be open for 2 weeks and will close on the 22nd September 2013 at 11:59:59pm. The giveaway is open worldwide, so anyone can enter and the winner will be able to choose their watch from the Daniel Wellington website (subject to availability). My Love For Rose Gold Watches – Save Or Crave

A very long time ago, maybe 9-10 years ago, I saw an ad in Vogue magazine for an Omega watch that Cindy Crawford was wearing. It was called the Quadrella Quartz and was silver/platinum with ruby, emerald, sapphire and canary yellow stones for the numbers. It also featured diamonds on the casing and was absolutely stunning! That was the very first time I found a love for Omega watches. The style also came in the round Constellation shape, which is the one Cindy is wearing below, but the rectangular Quadrella was the one I have always loved. Obviously back then, I was about 16 years old, so purchasing a watch like that wasn’t an option, neither is it today unfortunately as they are very expensive, but it still remains as my dream watch. For now, I’m sure you have already noticed, I really like rose gold watches. I have a Marc by Marc Jacobs rose gold watch, which I wear all the time, and I also have a Daniel Wellington one with a gold face. One of the other Omega watches that I love (which is newer and available) is a rose gold Aqua Terra with a black face and diamond bezel. I saw this online a few weeks ago and my jaw almost dropped at how pretty it was. Clearly I can’t afford to purchase an Omega watch like this, so I found a very similar Marc by Marc Jacobs one, without a black face, and I like it almost as much! I guess this post is more like a save or crave type of post, where there’s an…

My Obsession With Watches

I never used to really be a watch person a couple of years ago. I would get irritated by anything tight around my wrist as it feels restricting, however when I realised that I could wear watches loose like my bangles and bracelets, I became addicted. Since last year I have probably acquired 5 watches and I love them so much! I have a rose gold Marc by Marc Jacobs one, a Daniel Wellington one, two ASOS watches; one with a mustache and one with a rainbow strap, and I recently got a neon pink Marc by Marc Jacobs watch for my anniversary on the weekend. I’ve always loved the idea of having a designer watch though, ever since I saw an advert in Vogue magazine maybe two years ago of a beautiful Omega watch on Cindy Crawford, I was besotted. It was stunning, but obviously I can’t afford an Omega watch. My boyfriend has always loved them as well and plans to get one in the future. I was happy to collaborate with Watches of Switzerland on this post purely because they offer pre-owned and vintage designer watches in pristine condition, so you can get them much cheaper. I love the idea of this as it makes things so much easier for those of us who can’t afford the retail value and of course still want an authentic watch! How many of you are slightly watch addicted?

My New Marc by Marc Jacobs Rose Gold Blade Chrono Watch

So here is my new Marc by Marc Jacobs watch! I went ahead with the Blade Chrono in Rose Gold as you know and here is my post showing you it close up as I promised I would do. I mentioned before that I had to have a link taken out and ideally I needed 1 and a half, but that wasn’t possible so I have to make do with it being a little bit loose. I’ve been trying to find some nice bracelets to go with it since rose gold is a bit harder to match things to, but I quite like the pearly white shades and crystals to match it. It’s a gorgeous watch even though it’s really heavy, but I love it very much. It’s my first proper watch like this, so I’m excited to wear it as the rose gold colour is beautiful! What do you think? You can buy it online at Shopbop here. I also wanted to say on a completely unrelated note, for my readers who love denim as much as I do, you might want to check out my 8 Summer Denim Essentials post, my  Top 5 Denim Trends post and my Summer Denim Jackets post all on DenimBlog. Which Marc by Marc Jacobs Rose Gold Watch?

So my 24th birthday is coming up really soon (3rd August) and I wanted to buy myself a gift. At the moment I am lucky enough to have my boyfriend, my mum and my dad chip in to buy me this Marc by Marc Jacobs Pixie bag that I wanted and I am very excited about it, although I feel bad since it’s quite expensive (to me anyway). I don’t usually buy myself gifts, but I thought it might be nice to this time around. I’ve had an increasing obsession with watches and I’ve always loved rose gold. I saw these two watches on Shopbop a few weeks back and fell in love with them. I saw the left one, the Blade Chronograph, first and was sure that I wanted that one, but then I saw the Henry Glitz a little while after and thought I wanted that one instead. I’m now stuck deciding between the two! The Blade Chronograph is chunkier and more manly, but I think I like its simplicity, where as the Henry Glitz is more feminine due to the crystals and I feel it looks more lighter. It’s a really tough choice and I don’t know which one to go with! What would you do? Hopefully you can all help me decide! Deep down I’m thinking I should go with the Blade Chrono though, as my boyfriend pointed out it would probably go with more things. Comment and let me know!
