A Windy Day At The Beach

My boyfriend and I thought it might be fun to try something a little different and catch the train to the beach yesterday. It’s about a 50 minute train ride away but we didn’t think it would be so windy! I know there is always a wind that comes off the sea but I ended up with sand in my hair, my eyes and everywhere else. It was really too cold and ended up being stressful and tiring rather than fun unfortunately. The one thing I did like the most was the Sea Life Centre though, they had so many different reptiles and fish there! The snake neck turtles were beautiful, I loved the sting rays and the leopard eels too. I love animals so it was definitely my favourite part! I picked up some beautiful crystals at the gift shop too. What did you get up to this weekend? I’m wearing my new Miss Selfridge PU Leather Biker jacket (which I got this weekend and will show you more of soon), my Altru Go Out Tonight tee, my Paige & Lorna collaboration jeans, my Topshop floral snood, black boots, coral bag and rainbow ring and my D&G sunglasses. My New Ray Ban And D&G Sunglasses

As you know, from this post, I was stuck choosing which Ray-Ban sunglasses to get. I wanted something classic but fun at the same time and I think we pretty much all decided on the cats eye shaped tortoise pair (below) which I got in the mail yesterday and I love them! I think I am going to be wearing them a lot! They are beautiful! I also received, without knowing about it, a pair of D&G sunglasses (above) from a wonderful friend of mine. I have never really been a fan of D&G, usually because their stuff is heavily branded but this particular pair is perfect! There are no noticeable logos and the shape reminds me a lot of the Cats 5000 I wanted in tortoise! Thank you to my friend for sending me these! I’m in love with them! What do you think? Ray Ban Choices

Ray Ban have been my favourite brand of sunglasses for a while now but since they cost a lot of money, it’s not often I can buy a pair just like that. I usually save my money for things like bags, jeans or shoes as I take into consideration that living in England doesn’t always give you the opportunity to wear sunglasses so it’s not a purchase which I could wear all the time. I wanted to spend my birthday money on a pair of new sunglasses that will be a classic and ones I can wear all the time no matter what outfit I am wearing. I already have a pair of the Cats 5000 in pink glitter, which I wear often, and some brown Aviators with gold frames. I find the metal frames to be really delicate so I do prefer the plastic as I can be incredibly clumsy. I’ve narrowed my choices down to 5 sunglasses. I was going to include the classic Wayfarers but they really don’t suit my face shape and I find them too masculine since I a very girly girl. I do love them though but I don’t think they are the sunglasses for me. I never used to be a fan of the tortoise colour as I found it awkward, but over time I have grown to love it. It’s funny how your opinions change so much isn’t it? I think tortoise might be more suited to me because I have pale skin and I am blonde, I find black is too harsh on my face so I try to avoid wearing…

My Birthday Outfit

Here are the outfit photos from my birthday last week on Wednesday. Luckily it was really hot (which makes a change) so I got to wear shorts and a tank/vest top with sandals. The bangle and the bag are 2 presents I got from my boyfriend which I love! We ate at Giraffe which is one of my favourite places to eat and their apple sorbet is the best sorbet ever! I’m wearing my Paige Jimmy Jimmy shorts, an old Miss Selfridge butterfly top, New Look sandals, a Topshop bag and butterfly necklace, a Lulu Guinness pink bangle and my Ray Ban sunglasses. In the last picture you can see my lilac nail polish on my toes. It’s quickly become my favourite shade! I usually prefer the pinks and corals but I think the purple is a nice change! What colour nail polish do you love at the moment? I have a bad habit of biting my nails on my fingers unfortunately so I can never really paint them, ugh! Flamingos & Sequins For Tigerlily

I bought these shorts from Shopbop a couple of weeks ago after eyeing them for a long time! I love denim shorts but I do wish the weather could remain nice for a long period of time so I could wear them more often! This is the other top I picked up at All Saints as well, I am obsessed with it! I’m wearing Paige Jimmy Jimmy shorts in Tigerlily, an All Saints Sequin Flamingo top, Topshop wedges and snail ring, Ray Ban Aviators, HunnyBee Designs pink bracelet and a Lipsy Dragonfly ring. I went to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 earlier. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to see it on the opening day but thankfully I was! I do love Harry Potter so much and I think this film has to be the best one they have ever made, it was fantastic! I didn’t think they would be able to capture the greatness of the book but they did. I wont say anymore in case some of you don’t know what happens. Have you all seen it yet or when are you planning to? If you haven’t entered my Azendi Lucky Charms giveaway, you can here. I Love The Botanical Gardens

One of my favourite places to visit is the Botanical Gardens. It’s not far from my house but it’s just beautiful. I have been going there ever since I was a little girl and I love to be close to the wildlife and nature. It’s just so relaxing and pretty. I’m wearing a Topshop denim vest and black tank top, a River Island ruffle skirt, an ASOS blue satchel bag, my Topshop Waffle wedges, my Ray Ban pink glitter Cats sunglasses, a Topshop fish ring and my HunnyBee Designs pink beaded bracelet. I will be holding another contest soon for a pair of my jeans on FaceBook so make sure you are a fan of my page. I have also got 26 items listed on eBay and I listed most under £10 so you can check my store out here. (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)

Leopard Sunset

I saw this gorgeous sunset coming through the trees near my home on the weekend and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to take photos. I love leopard print, but only in a chic and classy way, so when I found this leopard print maxi skirt I was hooked! I think pairing it with the simple black tank top is one of my favourite summer outfits now. I’m wearing an unbranded leopard print maxi skirt, a Topshop black tank top, Ray Ban aviator sunglasses, River Island boots and a Topshop dragonfly necklace. I also have a Marc Jacobs cosmetic bag giveaway happening right now, if you haven’t entered yet then you still have plenty of time. If you are new to my blog (I have had a lot of new followers recently) then I hope you love Raindrops of Sapphire and continue being a fan 🙂 As always, if you click my posts you can view many more photos, not just the main one at the top. A Hot Day In Town

So it was boiling hot this weekend, well hot for England anyway, perhaps not hot for you Australians or LA readers, ha ha! But everyone pulled out their shorts and tees, including me. I jump at the chance to wear my Summer clothes! I just love to look out the window and see a blue sky and smile! I’m wearing Diesel Mintha shorts I got on sale around Christmas, a River Island dog tee I also picked up in the sale last week, New Look sandals which I am in love with and orange bangle and a Topshop ring and orange bag with my Ray Ban Cats 5000 sunglasses. I know it’s only Tuesday but I am really looking forward to the weekend now! Did any of you see Lady Gaga falling off her piano in concert? I only saw it today and I think she handled it pretty well. I do love her music! As you can see I had jelly or jello and peaches when I ate out, I love those! Ha Ha! (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)
