Channeling My Inner Rock God

(Jeans – Similar, Top – Similar, Vest – Similar, Bag – Exact, Sunglasses – Exact, Shoes – Exact, Watch – Exact) This is the outfit that I put together over the weekend on the spur of the moment. It’s definitely different to what I would usually wear as I tend to drift towards more brighter or structured pieces, however I actually used to dress very much like this when I was a lot younger during my ‘rock phase’ as I would call it, ha ha, long before I became a fashion blogger. So, I went with an all black look here, sans the black hair and nail polish that I used to sport, and I quite like how it turned out! I chose my James Jeans Moto Jeans in Black Enzyme which I have had for many years and still love, and paired them with my Truly, Madly Deeply Skull Lace tee that I got from Urban Outfitters for Valentine’s Day earlier this year. Since this tee has dropped arm holes, I layered my Topshop Faux Leather sleeveless jacket/vest over the top and also wore my black Koala Espadrilles from the brand too. Then for the accessories, I went with my Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses, my Michael Kors Slim Runway watch, various bracelets, a spiked ring and finally my Balenciaga Mini City Bag in Black Suede. I think everything here goes together quite nicely and the details of my bag match the jeans and jacket too! What do you think of it? Comment and let me know!

My 10 Ultimate Summer Essentials

When it comes to Summer, I always find myself reaching for my essentials and making sure I’m stocked up ready for the heat (well, if you can call it that here in England!). As a fashion blogger, I’m always eager to put away my coats, heavy jackets, boots and scarves and replace them with my Summer alternatives! I thought it might be a good idea to share with you what my 10 ultimate Summer essentials are in this post! This is including everything from clothing and make-up, to lotions and water! Whenever I think of Summer, I always have that nostalgic feeling of happiness as having warm weather is something of a rarity here for any long period of time, so I can’t help but smile when I think of it!

Embracing The Wind At The Beach

(Dress – Similar, Shoes – Exact, – Watch – Similar, Bag – Exact, Sunglasses – Exact) Despite feeling quite ill and not being able to attend the Cosmo Blog Awards on Wednesday, I’ve actually had one of the nicest weeks. I got to spend 4 full days with my boyfriend and since we are in a long distance relationship, time together like that is incredibly important. I took a step back from the computer for those few days (not entirely of course, but cut back a lot) and enjoyed the Summer weather we have been having. One of the days we went out for dinner and then took a quiet walk to the park where we stayed for a few hours, feeding the squirrels and birds, just relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. The day after, we took a trip to Burnham-On-Sea beach! I had only ever been there once before, last year in June as well, but this time we went during the day so some of the shops were open and we could look around. It’s a really small town with only a few high street shops, most of them being gift shops, but it was nice to just spend time at the beach and enjoy the day. I always look at other peoples photos at the beach and they look so glamorous! Beaches over here in England are not quite the same, ha ha. They are incredibly windy and it makes it hard to take photos, but I just had to embrace the wind and work with it instead for these photos. It probably wasn’t the most sensible…

The Floral Shirt & Denim Shorts At The Park

(Shorts – Exact, Shirt – Exact, Shoes – Exact, Sunglasses – Exact, Bangle – Exact, Watch – Exact) These photos are from two weekends ago when I spent the evening in the Botanical Gardens with my boyfriend. It was pretty much deserted as it was quite late, so it was beautiful to have the place all to ourselves. Since I’m very light footed and a quiet person, animals are always drawn to me as I think they sense that I love them, so feeding them is something that makes me happy and just sitting with them. It’s so relaxing and calming and something that I need every now and then as I’m always so wrapped up in work. I was lucky that it was warm out so I could still be in shorts. Speaking of which, these are my vintage Levi’s denim shorts in black from Urban Outfitters. I got these two years ago, not long after I got my blue pair, however I ended up with a smaller size and didn’t realise, so they had always been too tight on me, but since I have changed shape and lost a few pounds, they fit me now. Tightly I might add, but they do, so I can finally wear them! Now onto this gorgeous shirt, I saw it in the day time before going to the park. It was on the hanger in River Island and I just fell in love with it entirely. It’s really silky and the floral print is very intense and bold. I can’t wait to wear it again, maybe with jeans this time, but it…

Leopard With Denim Shorts & Jimmy Choos

(Shorts – Exact, Shirt – Similar, Boots – Exact, Bag – Exact, Sunglasses – Exact, Watch – Exact) I wore this outfit on Saturday when I went out to lunch with my boyfriend, like usual. We chose my favourite place again, The Real Italian Pizza Co. but it was so hot! As it’s been raining here and cold all the time (last weekend I was in a coat with an umbrella), I certainly welcomed the heat with open arms! I can finally wear my shorts and sunglasses, although even in minimal clothing like this, I was still boiling! I wore my vintage Levi’s Denim Shorts with my Zara Leopard Shirt for the day. I wore a look similar to this in June last year and I thought I would re-create it, just differently, so instead of wearing wedges, I chose my Jimmy Choo Melba boots in Sandalwood as I think they look amazing with shorts! Not all boots work with bare legs, so I’m incredibly happy that these do! They were super comfortable to walk in too, which just makes me love them even more! Now for my accessories, I went with my Mulberry Lily Bag in Oak and my Ray-Ban Aviators. I also wore my Marc by Marc Jacobs Blade Chrono Watch in Rose Gold with various different bracelets, including a Rose Gold Buckle Bangle from Infinitine. This is absolutely gorgeous! The clasp actually opens and then you buckle it shut by snapping the pin through the hole, which I think is incredibly cool since it’s metal! I also have a Rose Gold Fox Ring and a Gold Giraffe…

The Basketball Tee

(Jeans – Similar, Tee – Similar, Shoes – Exact, Watch – Exact, Shades – Exact, Bracelet – Exact) You may remember this Topshop Basketball Tee from my new purchases post that I made last week. Since it’s been plenty warm enough to actually go out in just a t-shirt, this is the first time that I actually got to wear it! I wore it to the Botanical Gardens on Sunday when I went to go and relax, feed the squirrels and birds and just enjoy the Spring time! It’s such a beautiful place and it’s one of my favourites when the weather is warmer. I take nuts and seeds and often sit in a quiet spot and feed the squirrels and birds from my hands as they can be quite tame if they trust you. I plan on posting more photos soon though! I’m really enjoying nature at the moment! I paired my Basketball Tee with my trusty black Levi’s Skinny Jeans as these are one of my go to’s when it comes to black! They fit perfectly and are so comfortable, so they couldn’t be better if they tried! To keep with the black theme, I went with my Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100 in Black to add some height and femininity to the look and then lots of accessories! I chose my new Marc by Marc Jacobs Black Critter Watch which I got from Shade Station, then also my Ray-Ban Erika Sunglasses in Red Velvet, which you just saw yesterday! For bracelets, I went with my Bibi Bijoux Blue Crystal bracelet and a couple of others from ASOS. I’m…

My New Ray-Ban Erika Red Velvet Mirrored Sunglasses

You probably already know about my obsession with mirrored lens sunglasses, since I already own a few pairs of aviators in various colours, however I got these amazing Ray-Ban Sunglasses from Shade Station and have completely fallen for them! They are the new Erika frame which is sort of round, but straight on the top, with red/orange mirrored lenses. Do you want to know the best part about these though? They are made from velvet! The frames are a gorgeous and intense primary red colour and it’s actually a lot more helpful as they don’t slip off your face as much! So these are a lot more practical and cool at the same time. I’m incredibly happy to add these to my collection! They are a bit more statement making than my others, simply because the frames are a lot bolder. It’s more of a unique shape for me too as I don’t own any sunglasses in this Erika design from Ray-Ban. What do you think of them? Comment and let me know!
