My 20 Favourite Summer Outfits

I thought it might be fun to take a look back and select some of my favourite Summer outfits over the years that I have been blogging. Because I was choosing 20, I’ve gone from 2012 until 2019. The months selected were June, July and August, and obviously I haven’t chosen any from this year because of the Covid situation and not having any proper Summer outfits yet. When I do ‘look back’ posts like this, I am always eager to see how much my style has changed over the years, as well as how much I have changed as a person, both mentally and physically. I’m sure you can see that my weight goes up and down by a few pounds all the time, but one thing that stands out to me now is how refined my style has become. You could definitely say it’s matured, even when I’m wearing bolder prints and colours, there’s still a mature aspect to it that I didn’t have a few years ago when my outfits appeared more youthful and fun. I’m intrigued to see which type of looks you liked the most? Lorna xx.

Pink Top & Black Jeans

These photos were taken around August last year, on a blistering hot day and I actually ended up regretting wearing jeans, ha ha. I hadn’t gotten around to sharing the pictures yet as I had other ones to edit, then Autumn took over and these got left behind, however with the Covid issue, this has actually worked out better as I have a Summer look to share with you! My outfit was a Pink Knitted Mango Tank Top, which I styled with my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Graphite (I do still live in these!), my B-Low The Belt, my Alexander McQueen Oversized Sneakers, and my Saint Laurent White Sunglasses, finished off with a Mango Shell Necklace. I wasn’t completely sure if I loved the outfit when I put it together because of the sunglasses, but I went with it. Sometimes it’s all about experimentation and seeing what you can come up with, ha ha. On a separate note, I’m planning on taking my very first flight next month in July! I’m not sure which country I’m going to yet, it depends on the air bridges and what’s open, but I’m thinking Spain or France, so I can test a flight before flying to the United States this year. I’m finally doing what I wanted to do and hoping it goes well! How are you all doing? Our hairdressers and restaurants etc. open up on the 4th July and I cannot wait either! I need my hair cut! The Red Floral Co-Ord

Adam and I shot these photos back in June I think it was, but I hadn’t got around to sharing them yet as I wasn’t sure if I wanted to post them. My style has changed a fair bit since this and I probably wouldn’t wear this kind of look now, but I thought I would post it anyway as I already had the photos. The co-ord itself is from Pretty Little Thing, my wooden clogs are from Carvella and my bag is my Valentino Lock bag in Ivory, but I do believe that pretty much all of these pieces are sold out. Again, we had re-booked our holiday to St. Ives for this week and we were supposed to leave yesterday, but we cancelled it again due to the weather as it’s still constantly raining. We’re heading to London this week for a few days instead, for a city break, rather than a beach holiday. I will be sticking to my normal posting schedule though, so I’m not taking a week off like I had planned! Anyway, I’m keeping this one short, but let me know what you think and I hope you had a nice weekend! Lorna xx.

A Leopard At The Beach

This post rounds out the last of my Lyme Regis holiday photos! I didn’t realise that I had taken so many while we were there, despite the weather, but these pictures were shot on the last day, just before we came home. As you know, the sun had finally come out that day and caused us pretty bad sun burn, but it made a beautiful backdrop for the sea behind. I will say that some areas of Lyme Regis are truly stunning, you can’t beat it for nature at one of its best there! For my outfit, I had on my H&M Leopard Playsuit (can you believe it only costs £10 in the sale now?!) and I wore it with my ASOS Jelly Sandals (so that I could go in the sea), my Loeffler Randall Basket Bag, and my Ray-Ban Youngster Sunglasses, finished off with some jewellery like my Mango Shell Necklace. I am a huge fan of playsuits in the summer as you know, as they’re so easy to wear and are very comfortable. Anyway, I hope you like this outfit and the scenery! Let me know! Orange & Beige Tones

This weather is crazy isn’t it? We had to cancel our holiday to St. Ives this week as we were meant to leave yesterday, however the rain is set for over a week to be torrential and cause problems. We thought it was better to postpone it until October, which I hope will be fine! It’s currently dry right now, but the rain is on and off and after tomorrow it’s going to be intense I think as they issued an amber flood warning. Hopefully everyone will be fine! Getting to this look though, I’m not doing it as an official outfit post with options to buy as it was shot a few months ago in Bristol, and I hadn’t got around to sharing it with you yet, so these pieces are pretty much out of stock. The top and shorts were by Pretty Little Thing, the shoes were Kurt Geiger from years ago, and my bag is my Valentino Lock Bag in Ivory. It was just something I’d put together as a summery going out look, and I thought I better eventually share it with you now as today marks the very first day of Autumn (officially), so it made sense! Anyway, my next blog post coming up is an update, and I have a LOT of things to share with you, now that I’m finally back on track with everything in my life and blogging again, I’ve managed to find that balance back and get my inspiration again. It could be to do with the fact that it’s Autumn now and that’s my favourite season that gives me…

In Chloe On A Lock

We shot these photos a few weeks ago when we were still having a heat wave, it was around 28C this day, and it was actually really nice to do some proper summertime photos, utilising the scenery a bit more as well. If you’re wondering what I’m sat on here, it’s a Lock on the River Avon. I’ve always been fascinated by those and how they work, I think it’s such a smart, simple and cool idea, ha ha. Anyway, for my outfit, I was wearing my The East Order Black Floral Dress again (you saw it here), but this time I dressed it up a bit more with a Western edge, choosing my Chloe Susanna Boots in Beige Suede and my Chloe Small Drew Bag in Motty Grey to finish it off. Despite not having worn these boots in my outfits on my blog very much, I absolutely adore them, and the velvet version, so you will be seeing them a lot more I think, providing the weather is ok and not raining. Can you even imagine the damage in the rain? Especially to my beautiful velvet pair! Anyway, I would love to know what you think of this look on me, your comments are always welcome! Blue Jeans And Goonies

Something casual and something comfortable, going back to the basics of blue skinny jeans and a grey t-shirt with trainers, something I feel the most at ease in. I was wearing my L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans, but this time in the Cascade wash, the same pair that you saw here, and I styled them with my Goonies t-shirt, my Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers and my Saint Laurent New Wave Sunglasses. I’m going to be keeping this text super short as this was a spur of the moment outfit choice as well as location, as I’d taken a pair of jeans with me to keep warm if I was too cold in my skirt, but I ended up liking it, so photos were taken! Anyway, I hope you had a lovely weekend! Lorna xx. *This post contains affiliate links to help keep this blog running.

3 New Femme Luxe Outfits

3 New Outfits From Femme Luxe You may remember last month that I shot a collaboration with Femme Luxe, featuring 3 different going out and nighttime looks, well I’m back again with a second set and I’m styling 3 different pieces again! One is a dress that’s perfect for the summer evenings, while the other 2 are lounge wear and perfect for running some simple errands or wearing around the home. I know you really liked the photos from the last collaboration, so this time I have included quite a few more, in all different angles. I really love doing shoots inside pretty hotel rooms as well, there’s always a different vibe about them! Scroll down to find out more about these pieces from Femme Luxe below! This gorgeous dress is the Madonna Black Polka Dot Mini Mesh Dress and it’s so unique and cool! That’s not my underwear that you can see there, it’s actually the bodysuit section of the dress and the polka dot mesh skirt hangs over the top. I took a size UK10 in it and it fits perfectly, so I seem to be a pretty consistent size in this brand. It’s stretchy all over too, so it’s actually really comfortable to wear. You could easily dress this down with flats though for more of a skater vibe, but I dressed it up with my Christian Louboutin Pigalle and my Lulu Guinness Lips Clutch, just to add a pop of colour to the statement black. I genuinely love this dress though, I think it’s fantastic! I will say that you do need some confidence to wear it,…
