A Trench Coat With Denim Dungarees

Black Denim Dungarees With A Trench Coat You may have noticed that I’m pulling out a lot of older pieces from my wardrobe lately and incorporating them into new outfits, mixing and matching. It’s no secret that I have a lot of clothes and I’m always getting caught up in the latest pieces to buy and the new trends, so a lot of my older clothes end up not being worn, which is a shame because I love them. So, in order to really get the value out of my money, I’m using clothing that I’ve owned a long time to go with newer items as well, like this trench coat and these dungarees. I got this Topshop Trench Coat back in 2015 and I’ve worn it about 3 times on the blog, this making it a 4th time. It’s the only trench coat that I own actually and I’ve always liked its colour and the way it fits. The same goes for these PAIGE Sierra Denim Overalls or Dungarees, whichever you want to call them. I actually got these in 2014 and have worn them 3 times on the blog, which isn’t enough in my opinion. I’m a huge fan of dungarees if they’re skinny and although I would like these ones to be slimmer, I’ve always loved how cool they look when dressed up or down, but I went for an in-between look here. I layered my dungarees over a simple Oasis White Jumper that I often wear. Their classic knits are so soft and comfortable, they fit me perfectly. The brown, black, and white colour combination is…

Green Tartan & Sapphire Velvet

A Green Tartan Blazer With Skinny Jeans And Velvet Boots I think the last time that I wore this River Island Plaid Blazer, it was back in the summer of 69… Ha ha, no, I just got sidetracked by the song there. Back in the summer of 2015 (see here) where I styled it with burgundy trousers and snake print heels. I thought it was time that I brought it back out though as I’ve always been a huge fan of the way it fits and the pretty colours. I decided to pair it with a simple white tank top and my new Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop Jeans in Fizzle which I absolutely adore. They have a slightly updated fit with a wider leg opening, so I cuffed them, but the wash is really nice! Now getting to my accessories, how amazing are these boots? They are the Kurt Geiger Carvela Gorki Sapphire Blue Velvet Boots which I got for over 70% off! You all know how much I adore velvet and I’d wanted a pair of navy blue velvet boots for ages, so when I saw these, I knew I had to have them. You wouldn’t believe how comfortable they are either, the heel isn’t too high and they don’t hurt my feet either. You’re definitely going to be seeing these more often! Then finally I added in my Valentino Mini Lock Bag in Light Ivory to glam it up a little bit. This is the first outfit that I have worn it with since I reviewed it, and I’m happy to report that the strong smell it…

The Topshop Colour Block Coat

The Topshop Colour Block Coat Outfit Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend. I have definitely been enjoying some of the warmer weather that’s been creeping up on us. I went out on Saturday for a walk with Adam and it was actually warm for once. It was 10 Celsius, but compared to the temperatures we have been having, I felt like I could go out in shorts, ha ha. For this outfit shoot, I was wearing this gorgeous Topshop Colour Block Coat (size UK 6) with my Oasis Grey Jumper, my Hudson Barbara Skinny Jeans in Bazooka, my RAYE Grey Heels, and my Chanel Wallet On Chain Bag (buy Chanel here). This photo shoot was a lot more muted than what I usually do, as the only pop of colour (from the front) I had was lilac from the Colour Block Coat, as the background was dull too because I wanted to capture the grey effect. I don’t usually go for such statement coats like this with multiple colours on them, especially not when they’re smarter looking, and longer in length, as sometimes it can be overwhelming, but I have to say this Topshop coat is anything but. It’s fantastic isn’t it? It might be bold, but it’s pastel toned so it’s easy on the eye. I kept everything else in complementing colours so that the coat was the focal point of the entire outfit, but there’s one hint of colour as the back strap is bright yellow, which you only see if you turn around. Cool, right? What do you think of the outfit?…

The Suede Biker Jacket With Black Leather Pants

ALLSAINTS Hitchen Suede Biker Jacket With Black Leather Pants I know a lot of you have been requesting that I wear my Rag & Bone Skinny Leather Pants with a leather jacket, preferably in black… but while I’m still toying with that idea, I decided to wear a combination that I love. My black leather pants have been sitting there waiting for me to wear them again and I was waiting for the perfect weather to style them. It’s either been too wet or too hot. However, on Saturday, it was dry and a lot cooler so it was ideal. I got this ALLSAINT Hitchen Suede Biker Jacket at the beginning of May actually and hadn’t had the chance to wear it yet, so I thought it would pair perfectly with the leather pants. I think suede and leather is a great combination in two contrasting colours like this. I kept the top neutral with a White ASOS Cami, but added in brown elements with my belt and my Saint Laurent Envelope Clutch. To elongate the legs and match the leather pants, I chose my Christian Louboutin Pigalle Pumps in Black, which I think complement them perfectly. I only opted for one piece of jewellery this time too and that’s in the form of this Rose Gold Spike Cuff from Happiness Boutique, which is super cute (use the code raindropsofsapphire at the checkout to get 10% off orders over €19 as well, until 22nd July). I then only chose just a pop of colour with my red lips, keeping everything else classic. I know you’re probably thinking that I’ve got…

Lace Up

LNA Esperenza Lace Up Top With Black Skinny Jeans Remember my lace up shirt blouse that I wore with my leather pants a little while ago? Well my love for lace up tops has grown even stronger and I’m becoming obsessed – as I do. I was looking for a lace up top that was a little more casual though and in a neutral colour, so this LnA Esperenza Lace Up Top in Scour (buy here on sale) ended up being ideal. It’s a linen made, long sleeve top, so it’s very easy breezy for the warmer weather, but super cute at the same time. For this outfit, I wanted to keep everything neutral and warm, so I went with a black base for the denim, wearing my Paige Transcend Verudgo Cropped Skinny Jeans in Jett Black Destructed (buy here). These jeans are so comfortable and have one of the most perfect fits, so I definitely recommend them to you! Since these jeans are cropped, they pair nicely with my Celtic & Co. Chelsea Boots (similar here on sale) that I live in currently. If you haven’t yet tried them, you should! The direct buying link is below. For the accessories, again, I wanted to keep things minimal and toned down so it was an easy ensemble, but one that still showed it was warm outside. I chose my beautiful TRIWA Turtle Bonnie Sunglasses (similar here) which I still absolutely adore, my Chloe Nano Drew Bag in Off White (buy here) and my Our Theory Of Brushed Rose Gold Watch again – it goes with everything. Plus, since my lipstick…

The Vintage Green Plaid Shirt

A vintage green plaid shirt with GRLFRND skinny jeans A few weeks ago Adam and I headed to the beach at Burnham-on-Sea with my mum and her husband. While most people were in shorts and t-shirts, I was really feeling the cold and needed a lot more layers (and a hot water bottle and warm socks when I got home) as I wasn’t regulating my temperature too well. We spotted this gorgeous lake on the way back and stopped to take my photos there, but it was absolutely freezing! It felt like it was Winter to me while shooting these, so I was actually glad to get it done, despite it being stunning. Speaking of feeling cold and really ill though, I apologise that I haven’t been able to keep up with my social media as much as I was, but last week I got really ill again with my stomach (which I’ve had for a year now) and tomorrow I have to start a triple therapy antibiotics regime for two weeks, which I’m not too happy about, but it seems like the only way to cure what I have going on unfortunately. The pain I have been in and the amount of bloating I have been suffering has been absolutely ridiculous and possibly the worst it’s been. I can only hope the antibiotics help and don’t do too much damage. And on another separate note before I get to my outfit, for those of you who follow my work on DenimBlog, unfortunately that’s come to an end. I’ve got a final blog post scheduled to go live there at…

Camo On The River

The Camo Jacket With Black Skinny Jeans And Boots This is the comfortable outfit that I wore a couple of weekends ago to go and watch Captain America: Civil War with Adam for our 8 year anniversary. I know, I can’t believe we have been together 8 years! I wanted an outfit that wasn’t restricting and something that was warm too as when I’m sitting in the cinema for hours, I tend to get quite cold. Have any of you seen the movie yet? I had been waiting for it to come out since Winter Soldier! I do wish it was more about Cap though and didn’t have the others in it so much, I think it would have been better if it was Avengers: Civil War, but that’s just my views as I love Cap so much, he’ll always be a standalone character to me. Getting back to my outfit, I wore my old Topshop Camo Jacket (similar & similar) which I have had for years and still adore! I paired it with my Levi’s Black Skinny Jeans (similar) and my KG by Kurt Geiger Winona Boots (similar). Even though the Oasis Grey Knit that I had on underneath is fairly recent, I feel like this outfit is quite nostalgic and reminiscent of my style from a couple of years ago. With that being said though, I can definitely tell a difference in how much I’ve matured even when I am wearing a similar outfit to before, I think it might be my shorter, blonder hair or maybe I just look more mature now, I’m not sure. What do…

The Denim Mini Skirt

Denim Mini Skirt With Rockstud Sandals And Chloe I think this Summer, denim skirts are going to be my thing. I’ve somehow got three already, a light wash, a dark vintage wash and a distressed one too, so I’m all set for every type of look. I’m 28 soon and as I haven’t been able to work out or tone up my legs properly because of illness, I’m not feeling very confident for denim shorts at the moment, so I’m thinking denim skirts are the way forward for me as they cover up a lot! I’m so glad they are on trend at the moment too, especially the denim mini skirt trend, it’s huge right now and I couldn’t be happier! For this outfit, I was wearing my AG Denim Mini Skirt with my Oasis White Knitted Top for the base of my outfit. I then chose my Valentino Rockstud City Sandals in Tobacco which I shared with you last week and my new Chloe Nano Drew Bag in White, with a pair of my trusty brown Ray-Ban aviators. With the warmer weather now here (I hope) I am in that transitional phase of outfits, so mixing Summer pieces with warmer clothes is ideal for me right now. That’s why I love the combination here of the knitwear with the skirt as it’s quite contrasting. And as I mentioned the bag, isn’t it cute? I loved my grey one so much that I wanted the white one, but in a smaller version so it wasn’t as heavy and I was lucky enough to pick it up on sale on Harrods…
