Another Case Of The Burgundy Velvet

Lovers + Friends Burgundy Bomber Jacket With Velvet It’s definitely no secret that I love velvet, especially in burgundy (hence the name of this title) so it’s always going to crop up now and again in my outfits. I know it’s more of an Autumnal fabric and colour, but I don’t see any seasonal approach to burgundy velvet at all as I wear it all year round. So for this outfit, I went with something extremely comfortable, casual and easy wearing for a day out in town. I chose this Lovers + Friends The Nomad Bomber Jacket to pair with a black tank top, and my James Jeans Twiggy Skinny Jeans. For the accessories, I opted for my Chanel Small Boy Bag in Velvet Bordeaux and my old Yosi Samra Velvet Loafers. I actually bought these shoes about 5 years ago from The Outnet in a sale and I hadn’t worn them all that much, until now, and it turns out that I love them even more than I did at the time. I love the lightweight satin feel of this bomber jacket though and how the colour is so intense – it’s stunning. With regards to the jeans though, the reason I have linked up the maternity pair is because that’s what I am wearing. I want to make it clear that I am NOT pregnant, before anyone congratulates me, but I have to sometimes wear them because of the swelling and inflammation in my stomach that happens. My normal jeans don’t button up and can be extremely uncomfortable, so the stretchy waistband is such a relief. I’m still…

Feel Confident At A Wedding With Marks & Spencer

We all get that dreaded feeling when we’re asked to be a guest at a wedding (after the excitement goes) and it’s usually over what we’re going to wear to impress everyone and feel our best. I’ve been to a fair few weddings in the past and I’ve always ended up buying a new dress each time, after going through loads of them, to find the perfect one that I feel comfortable in. There’s always a check list that I have to go through and mine is as follows: Comfortable enough to be in all day and not restrictive. Covers up any insecurities that I have about myself. Doesn’t need adjusting all the time or cause any wardrobe malfunctions. Doesn’t outshine the bride or draw attention to myself – always avoid a white dress. Is flattering to my body shape and shows off my figure nicely. Suits my personality and age – ensures I feel like myself in it. When I find a dress that suits all of these points, I know it’s a winner. This is why I’ve teamed up with Marks & Spencer to bring you their #DressMoments campaign, highlighting their new summer dresses which are perfect for special occasions. You might not be going to a wedding, it might be a graduation, a party, an anniversary, a first date, a christening, or any event where you want to look and feel your best, however I personally chose to style this look around a guest at a wedding theme, but to be honest, I think my outfit suits most events! I personally chose this gorgeous Marks & Spencer…

The Goosecraft Grey Suede Biker Jacket With Adidas Gazelle

Goosecraft Grey Suede Biker Jacket With Adidas Gazelle I got this Goosecraft Grey Suede Biker Jacket in the sale on ASOS a couple of months ago and this is the first time I’m sharing it with you here. I did get it in the size Small (the same as my faux fur Goosecraft leather jacket) but this one seems to run a bit bigger and only fits with knitwear underneath, which makes it ideal for those cooler days. I was originally attracted to the grey suede as it’s got so much depth to it. It’s battered and washed so it’s faded in certain areas and darker in others, giving it such a unique appearance. I’ve never seen a grey suede like this before, it’s truly stunning! Since I usually wear my leather or suede jackets with heels, I decided to dress this outfit down and pair it with my Adidas Gazelle Trainers in Light Grey which matched my Oasis Grey Jumper. For the jeans, I chose my Hudson Barbara Skinny Jeans in Hideaway as these are always my comfort jeans as they’re super stretchy. I thought blue would be different to wearing black with the grey, just to give it a little more colour. The final piece I chose to match this outfit with is my Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour in Light Grey. I got this bag about 6 weeks ago, again in a sale on My Theresa, and as it was one that I had wanted for many months, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity when it was heavily discounted. The grey is the perfect cool tone…

The Cropped Mini Bootcut Jeans

FRAME Le Crop Mini Boot Jeans With A Cat Shirt First of all I wanted to say thank you to all of you took part in my survey (you still can here) to help me improve, I appreciate it! I sometimes find it hard to judge what you all like and how interested you are as I think only about 5% of you leave comments on my blog posts and I’ve never met any of you that don’t, so it would be a huge help if you did leave a comment to say hi so I can meet you and get to know you all better! I got some great tips from everything you said and it seems like the consensus is that you all want round up posts on trends and things I like, along with lots more personal posts and my thoughts on things, as well as inspiration. So consider that done! I’m excited to be posting more often and different types of posts too! So getting to my outfit, I recently got these FRAME Le Crop Mini Boot Jeans in Stony Creek and I absolutely love them! I’m doing a review of them on Friday on The Jeans Blog so if you want to know all about these jeans, you can then. They’re amazing though and it’s refreshing to wear such a different cut of denim for once! I paired them with my Topshop Cat Shirt, my Gucci Double GG Belt, my Sam Edelman Blake Boots, my BVLGARI LVCEA Watch and my Calvin Klein Sunglasses. I told you that you’d be seeing my Gucci Belt a lot…

Black Skinny Jeans With Nike Roshe & A Gucci Belt

A Gucci Double GG Belt Styled With Nike Roshe & Skinny Jeans A casual, yet styled outfit is something that I am often finding myself gravitating towards lately. Of course I love dressing up with heels and fancy pieces for a tailored and structured look, but more often than not now I am leaning towards flat shoes and comfortable items that just make my day easier. I usually call it my ‘Blogger off duty’ look as I don’t usually take photos of it, but for this outfit, since I had some fancy accessories and I really liked the colour palette and proportions of the entire ensemble, I had to share. This entire outfit was centered around my new Gucci Double GG Tan Belt as I wanted something to show it off. This was actually the first look that I wore it with, but due to my schedule, I had to share another one first (the Topshop outfit). Since it’s such a standout piece, I wanted to make sure that everything in this look was a different colour to the brown of the belt, so I chose my Hudson Barbara Skinny Jeans in Bazooka, a Zara Cream Knit, and my beloved Nike Roshe Trainers. For the accessories, I went with my Celine Nano Luggage in Dune and I borrowed Adam’s Casio Retro Watch, as the gold played off the GG buckle nicely. I then finished it off with a little bit of glam with a pink lip and my Kyoto Pearl earrings. Pearls always work for dressing things up! For an easy wearing look, I have to say that I think…

The REISS Somerset Trench Coat

The REISS Somerset Trench Coat in Tiramisu Outfit Happy Sunday everyone! I mentioned in my latest wish list post that I had gotten this REISS Somerset Trench Coat in Tiramisu and was going to show you an outfit with it very soon. Well, here it is! I’m really new to REISS as a brand as I’ve only just started getting into it, but I am completely besotted now. I went into the Bath boutique a couple of weeks ago and everyone in there was lovely, especially Hannah, helping me with everything I needed, so it’s my new go to brand. Not to mention that everything they have fits my personal style so much. It’s smart, chic, classy, and tailored, which is what I look for in my clothing these days. The Somerset Longline Trench Coat is literally one of the best trench coats I have ever looked at and felt. The quality of it is beautiful and it’s so well fitted and made, you can’t go wrong with it. You can wear it numerous ways, included how I am wearing it here, undone, done up fully, or without the belt. It’s one of the only coats that will actually do up all the way on me without being too tight in the chest department too! So that’s a bonus! It features a small point collar, front storm flaps, slanted side pockets, a double breasted fastening, a self tie waist belt, and a single back vent. It’s got so many little details to it! I took this coat in size UK 8 as I wasn’t sure whether or not I would…

Embroidered Jeans – Raindrops of Sapphire x Topshop Denim

Here is the second post in my Topshop denim campaign collaboration! If you missed the first one, click here to see my other outfit, but if you already saw it, welcome to the next chapter! I have had my eye on these rose embroidered skinny jeans in black for quite some time as I think they are gorgeous! I love the placement of the embroidery and how it balances out each side, but it complements the black so nicely. I always find Topshop jeans run small, so if you’re a 27 in premium brands like I am, I took these in a 30 and they fit very comfortably, just in case you’re wondering on sizing. For the whole look, I put together a very similar outfit as a styling (see here) so it’s definitely one I had sort of been planning. I liked the idea of combining browns and deeper yellows with the black to inject some colour to the ensemble, plus the yellow on my Mulberry bag complements the bee Marigold sandals perfectly! The tan coat and the light brown jumper made a great base too and I think the attention is definitely drawn to the lower half of the outfit, with the floral embroidery and the platforms. It’s a little more busier than what I’m usually used to, and definitely more bold, but I’m really enjoying having fun with my clothing lately. It’s exciting! Topshop Items I’m Wearing: Rose Embroidered Skinny Jeans Tan Coat Marigold Bee Shoes Out of the two outfits you have seen so far, which is your favourite? I’m definitely hoping to do a third…

Raindrops of Sapphire x Topshop Denim

I am beyond excited to be collaborating with my favourite high street brand… Topshop! It’s no secret that I often wear their clothes and I pretty much put an order through on their website every single month. I’m all about mixing high street with designer pieces, balancing it out, which I think makes my outfits much more wearable, and affordable, since I can’t just drop lots of money on trendy items I would only wear a few times. When Topshop reached out to me about their latest campaign, I couldn’t have been more happy! For March they have launched their new Topshop denim campaign and you all know how addicted to denim I am! I live in it every single day and have a blog dedicated to it, so this was the most fitting campaign for me that could have come around. Putting together outfits and styling their denim was great and this is the first outfit that I have come up with in the series. There will be another outfit post coming up in a couple of days as part two, and I’m hoping there will be a part three as well in April. Topshop Items I’m Wearing: Denim Mullet Skirt Embroidered Denim Jacket Marigold Bee Shoes I decided to go with a double denim outfit for the first look to really kick things off with the denim. I had seen this embroidered denim jacket on their website for some time and with the shearling lining, I knew it would be gorgeous, and I wasn’t wrong! It runs big so I had to size down, but it paired so…
