Black And Grey For Another Day

Black and Grey neutrals with a pop of Bordeaux First of all I want to wish you all a happy Good Friday and I hope you have some fun Easter weekend plans, whether you celebrate Easter or not. Since I work on American timing a lot of the time with my other job, I never get to share the same bank holidays as we do over here, so this time I’m actually excited that both our countries have the same days off for once! Yay! For this outfit, I wore it last weekend and wanted to keep things really smart and casual at the same time. I wore my GAP Knitted Jumper in Grey with an ASOS Grey Scarf around to keep me warm. I paired these with my James Jeans Twiggy Dancer Jeans in Black and my RAYE Grey Heels. Then to add a pop of colour to the mix of black and grey, I chose my Chanel Small Boy Bag in Bordeaux Velvet. If you follow me on Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) then you will know that I went ahead with my hair cut yesterday and I love how it’s turned out! It’s much shorter, neater and has a nice style to it. These are the last outfit photos that I have to share with you before the cut (Thank goodness. What is that back shot, some puffy triangular afro!?), so you will be seeing it very soon if you haven’t checked it out already! Anyway, what do you other fashion bloggers and readers think of my outfit here? I’d love to know as always! Just ignore the current hair…

Double Denim & Leather

Double Denim With An All Saints Balfern Leather Jacket Last weekend it was warm enough for me to just wear my All Saints Balfern Leather Jacket in Sahara (buy it here) and I decided to style it with double denim. I layered it over one of my Topshop Sleeveless Denim Shirts and then paired that with my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop Jeans in Spritz. I was so excited when I got these jeans as you know I live in my Citizens Rocket in Aura all the time, so it’s great to have the same style but in a darker wash like these. I thought they paired really nicely with my brown leather belt to break up the double denim combination and blend in with the leather jacket. I then wanted some lighter neutrals so I went with my Sam Edelman Petty Booties and my Mulberry Alexa Clutch in Powder Beige. Instead of the usual landscape scenery shots that Adam and I love to do due to the pretty areas around here, we wanted to do more of a street style shoot for this look and give it some more edge. We headed to the top of town out into the areas where people live and shot in the middle of the street by the cars. It was definitely a different experience having to go in and out of the road to avoid cars though, it’s not something that I would like to do all that often, but I definitely love how these photos turned out. They have an easy, and sometimes candid approach to them. What do you think…

Light Up Shoes

Fashionable Light Up LED Shoes From Beam This has been the most exciting and fun photoshoot that Adam and I have ever done! I just had to say that first before getting on with this post. Usually our shoots are very serious, focusing on getting the perfect shots and angles to showcase the outfit as its best, but this time around, we got to have fun. We even got to play with the different camera settings and do long exposure (I love this) which in short means the shutter stays open for a long period of time while you move around in front of it, creating light trails which you can see in some of my photos, and I got to do different action shots. I got these light up LED shoes from BEAM a couple of weeks ago and I couldn’t wait to wear them and share them with you! I just know that so many of you will love them. I fell in love with flashing shoes when I saw a girl dancing with them in a video on Instagram that had gone viral, then a week or two later, BEAM contacted me about modelling their shoes and I jumped at the chance. I chose the black pair as I thought they would be more suited to a fashion blogger than the white and silver and they would really show off the lights when it gets dark. I was right with that as when it’s dark and I’m wearing all black like I am here, all you can see is the lights! So how do these work? That’s…

The Sweater Dress And Knee High Boots

The sweater dress with knee high boots I’m back! My trip to St. Ives was absolutely incredible and I had such an amazing time, taking time off to explore and clear my mind. I will be sharing those photos with you very soon once I have gone through them all and uploaded them, however in the meantime, I have this look that we shot before I went away. I did have shorts on underneath this sweater/jumper as it is quite short, so don’t worry! Nothing was shown. Again, this is something different as I don’t usually wear looks like this, but I like how it turned out and feel like I want to wear more knee high boots with dresses now. I chose my River Island roll neck sweater to wear as a dress as it’s pretty long and can act as one, so it worked great with my DUO Dita grey suede over the knee boots. I then finished it with my Balenciaga Mini City in black suede and a simple Topshop necklace. I’d love to know what you think of my look here as always, please comment below! I love reading what you have to say and replying to your comments! (Sweater – Exact & Similar, Boots – Exact & Similar, Bag – Exact, Jewellery – Similar)

Damson In Distress

Hunter Damson Gloss Wellies with shearling and denim I have one last set of shots to share with you from before I had my hair cut and this is it. The look that I styled with my new Hunter Original Tall Wellies in Damson Gloss. I know you have seen a preview of these already since I shared my Hunter wellies collection with you, but you never got to see the full look. I think it might be safe to say that I am a little bit addicted to rain boots, considering how many pairs I own and how many more I want to add to my collection, but living in England means I use them frequently since it’s often raining. My wellies and rain coats are some of my go to pieces the majority of the time! So for this outfit, I styled my wellies with my classic and trusty Citizens of Humanity Rocket jeans in Axel as I wanted black to pop with the red. These jeans have got me through everything! I always reach for them when I want a classic and clean black as I’m sure you have noticed. I then wore my leafy green long sleeve top from GAP and layered my Zara faux fur shearling jacket over the top. This outfit really reminds me of a classic country girl look and it is something that I wear quite often on my non photo days! What do you think of it and do you like my new red wellies? As always, do comment and let me know as I love reading and replying to your…

TODS Scooby Doo Shoes And Skinny Jeans

TODS Scooby Doo Driving Shoes With Skinny Jeans Thank you so much to all of you for the support you gave me when I mentioned what I’m going through at the moment. It’s really kind to know how much you are all there for me and encouraging me. Thankfully the tablets have started to work quite well now and the headaches have subsided, so things are getting a little better, just waiting on my test results to come back still. These photos were taken a while back and I’ve had them ready for posting for a while, but hadn’t had the chance to share them with you. I was excited to wear this outfit as I got to wear my new TODS Gommino Scooby Doo Shoes in Tobacco. I paired them with my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Jeans in Stage Coach and a simple Sparkle & Fade top that I have had for a long time. Finished off with my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Deer Brown and some various jewellery pieces. I took these shoes in size 39 and they fit well, but unfortunately they hurt my heels quite a bit so I think they are only suitable with socks which is a shame because they are truly gorgeous! Have any of you got TODS? On another note, June the 5th is approaching for the WWF Wear It Wild campaign and I’d still love for you to show me what animal outfit you will be wearing on the day. I did a post for the WWF blog (which you can see here) and it shows you some ways on how…

Bringing Back My Skinny Cargo Pants

Bringing back my skinny cargo pants for Summer The skinny cargo pants trend was incredibly popular back in 2010 and 2011, so much so that it literally overtook the denim world and jeans took a back seat. J Brand’s Houlihan pants were the most popular, being worn by absolutely everyone, and I still own three pairs of them! I wanted to do something with skinny cargo pants again as I think they are great for Summer, and even though they aren’t trending too much anymore, I still think they are so classic! Instead of wearing the Houlihan’s though, I went with my Rich & Skinny light green cargos as I loved these so much years ago. I paired them with a simple burgundy tank top and then layered over my River Island Waterfall cardigan for some warmth. As I wanted to dress them up, I went with my Topshop Slick Platforms to add some height and length to my legs and then finally accessorised with my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Deer Brown. I thought it would be nice to do my hair different too, but I’m sure you can see this was before I had it cut, and I went with a lose side braid. I tend to always wear my hair down as my face looks weird with it up, in my opinion, but I quite like the loose braids. Even though I can’t do this anymore! Let me know what you think of the outfit though! I always love reading your comments! (Cargos – Similar & Similar, Top – Similar, Cardigan – Similar, Shoes – Similar, Bag –…

The Flares, The Hat & The Faux Fur

The faux fur sleeveless jacket with dark blue flared jeans I didn’t get hair extensions, before you think it! These photos were shot a few weeks ago and I didn’t get around to posting them yet on my fashion blog, which is why my hair is still long here. I do have a couple more to post with long hair too, so I will be sharing those as soon as I can. I hope you are all looking forward to the weekend and have some fun plans! I don’t have much planned myself, I’m thinking a quiet weekend is in order as I’ve been too busy lately and stressing out too much. Time to relax a bit. For this outfit, I wore a pair of flared jeans! I rarely ever wear them as I struggle with inseam lengths on them. Having shorter legs means I have to always hem them, even with 6 inch heels, and it usually loses a lot of the flare so I tend to not get on so well with them. I got these Citizens of Humanity Sculpt flares in Ozone though from the brand as I wanted to get over my fear of them. I had to do a lot of tucking and folding as they were extremely long on me, but I think they turned out quite nice actually. The Sculpt is a great new fabric from the brand which stretches all ways and never bags out! This is always an bonus point as jeans can get saggy way too much. I paired them with my Topshop Faux Fur Gilet in Ombre and a…
