The AC/DC Tee

AC/DC Band Tee With Doc Martens Hey guys! How are you all? I hope you had a lovely 4th of July weekend! I definitely did, celebrating it via FaceTime, since I can’t be in the USA yet. I plan on making my next post a life update, as it’s been a little while since I published one, so stay tuned for that! I’m writing it up today, to publish in a few days. Anyway, I thought I would share this outfit with you, which was shot a couple of months ago now actually, but I wasn’t sure I liked it enough to publish. I edited the photos anyway, and decided I will share them with you as it’s a little different and cool. I will see what you think! I was wearing an Abercrombie & Fitch AC/DC Tee, which is actually from the kids department. I took age 15, if anyone is interested! I tucked it into my Zara Black Denim Shorts, which I then layered an ASOS Western Belt around the middle. I then finished it off with some Doc Marten Boots, and my Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour Bag, and some jewellery. As you know, I got these Doc Martens back last year and I’ve been learning how to style them more, but I do quite like how this one turned out! What do you think? Lorna xx.

Allsaints Blush Pink Aleida Short Suit Outfit

A Blush Pink Tailored Short Suit Last month, I shared my wish list and this Allsaints Aleida Short Suit was in it! So many of you thought it was a really cute set, and I agreed, so I snapped it up! I wasn’t sure at first if I could make it work, as I was looking like an 80’s car salesman, but I figured it out and I like how it turned out! It’s really feminine and smart, but it’s on trend at the same time. You’ve already seen a few of these shots, or this look overall, as I shared it in my Nordgreen watch review that I did, so here’s the full look! The full look that I’m wearing here is the Allsaints Aleida Blazer in Blush Pink, the Allsaints Aleida Shorts in Blush Pink, an Abercrombie & Fitch Short Sleeve Flutter Sleeve Top in White, my Gucci Brixton Loafers in White, and my Valentino Mini Lock Bag in Ivory. I also wore my Nordgreen Unika Watch too, to finish it off as I love simplistic and elegant jewellery. I think the combination of white and blush pink is really pretty and perfect for the Summer months as it’s so feminine. I also love the scenery here as it’s purely English countryside and so serene! How are you all anyway? I feel like it’s been a little while since I gave you all an update on everything, so I will probably do that soon in a blog post. I’ve been enjoying the sunshine (not so much the heat) and spending some time at the park, and going out…

2 Ways To Style White Jeans & Knitwear

2 Different White Outfits For Spring & Summer With Spring being in full swing, it makes sense to break out the white denim, doesn’t it? Summer is in one month, as it’s mid June when it’s officially Summer here in the UK, and one of the shades we always gravitate towards in the warmer weather is white! I wanted to put two different looks together here, to show you how you can transition a white pair of jeans and a white cropped knit, over the two seasons! There’s one for when it’s a little bit chilly, and one look for when it’s warmer. For the first look, I styled my Abercrombie & Fitch White Skinny Jeans and White Zara Cropped Knit with a Zara Coat that I threw over my shoulders, my Gucci GG Belt, my Alexander McQueen Oversized Sneakers, and my Louis Vuitton Mini Palm Springs Backpack. I think this combines neutrals and tans really nicely, but it’s ideal for a windy day, or a more overcast weather situation (we’re very much used to that here in England, aren’t we?!). The second look is a little more playful, so I styled my Abercrombie & Fitch White Skinny Jeans and White Zara Cropped Knit with my Jacquemus Le Chiquito Noeud Pink Bag, my Gucci GG Belt, and my Alexander McQueen Oversized Sneakers again. So as you can see, all I really did to switch this one up was remove the coat, and bring in a bright pop of pink with my choice in bag. That alone really makes it Summer appropriate because you’re injecting some vibrancy and colour into the…

Pastel Rainbow Knitwear

The Pastel Rainbow Cardigan Outfit Happy Monday everyone! I feel like this outfit is super Spring appropriate, isn’t it? I originally saw this rainbow 525 cardigan on Shopbop and thought it was really cute, but then I saw it on another fashion blogger and fell completely in love with it even more. It ended up being tricky to get hold of as the stock was sold out everywhere, but I managed to find a M and I decided to give it a try. Then an XS came back in, and an S, and I went for it! Ha ha! So I ended up with three different sizes of this cardigan! I kept the XS as it has an oversized fit and I thought this one suited me the most. Isn’t it adorable? I feel like it’s either a love or hate relationship with it though, as I’ve had a lot of compliments, as well as people saying it’s awful, but I absolutely adore it! What do you think of it? It’s so soft and comfortable as well, it’s amazing! I wore this 525 Rainbow Cardigan with my Joe’s Jeans Charlie Crop Skinny Jeans in Grey, my new Gucci Brixton Loafers in White, and finished it off with my Celine Micro Belt Bag in Clay. I think this is a really simple and casual outfit for wearing during the day time, either to lunch, doing some errands, shopping etc. and it’s definitely something that I would wear on a trip to London, if I was going there anytime soon. I did recently wear these grey jeans and the Gucci Brixton loafers…

Grey And Blue Double Denim

A Levi’s Denim Jacket With Grey Skinny Jeans Hey everyone! How are you all? I’m so happy that we are finally out of lock down and now in a more free way of living with the shops being open! Some normality again! I feel like this outfit is so me! It’s been a while since I did double denim, and it’s been even longer since I wore grey skinny jeans or a denim jacket for that matter! I love this kind of outfit and I feel so comfortable in it, as it’s been a uniform of mine for well over a decade. Most of these pieces are new too, so let me tell you about them! I was wearing my Levi’s Trucker Denim Jacket that I got a few months ago, and layered it over my Abercrombie & Fitch Tie Knot Tee in White. I think wearing a knot in the front of a t-shirt really gives it a different vibe to keeping it plain, it’s just so elevating. Then for my jeans (I recently included these in my wish list), they’re the Joe’s Jeans The Charlie Crop Jeans in Solitude and they’re incredible! They’re so stretchy and comfortable, and they’re the perfect shade of grey, so I’m obsessed with these right now! Then for my shoes, I wore my brand new Gucci Brixton Loafers in White, which again, I’m absolutely obsessed with because they’re so versatile, classy, and beyond comfortable! I will be reviewing them soon! Then I finished it off with my Saint Laurent Nano Sac de Jour Bag in Grey, to pull the shades together. Denim has…

Snake Print Leather Skirt With Thigh High Boots

Snake Print Leather Skirt With Thigh High Boots Happy Weekend everyone! The story behind this outfit is an interesting one, ha ha! I put this look together a few months ago (maybe 4-5) and I took it with me on a previous shoot, so that I could take pics of it, but unfortunately never got around to it as other looks took precedence. I then took it with me a second time, and the same thing happened! So third time lucky, my mum and I actually got to shoot this outfit a few weeks ago, finally! So here it is! And as it turns out, I love it! I think it might be one of my favourite looks that I’ve put together in recent years! For this look, I had on my Allsaints Lena Oba Leather Snakeprint Skirt, which I tucked my 525 Beige Roll Neck Top into. I layered my Zara Oatmeal Coat over the top of my shoulders, pulled my DUO Empress Over The Knee Boots on, and finished it off with my Louis Vuitton Mini Palm Springs Backpack. This skirt is actually one of my favourites as I love the snakeprint on it! Sometimes this kind of print can come across as trashy, but Allsaints did a fantastic job of keeping it classy! I also think that mixing it with neutrals, different fabrics, and proportions, is a key way to keeping it styled and chic. It’s in the sale currently, and does run a little bit big in terms of sizing. I would love your opinion on this outfit too! What do you think? Lorna xx. *This…

Leather Leggings With A Corset Belt

Leather Leggings With A White Shirt And Corset Belt Happy Saturday! These photos were shot a few weeks ago when the first sign of Spring was starting to hit! It was pretty chilly, but there was some beautiful sunshine hitting, which made a change! I honestly can’t believe how fast the time is going though! Can you? It’s already past mid March, the clocks go forward next weekend, and it will soon be Summer! Can you believe it? Everything has been a blur for the last year, it’s madness. Anyway, for this outfit, I wanted to mix it up a bit and do something different. I actually put this together on a whim and wasn’t expecting it to look this cool, so I really like how it turned out! I was wearing my Commando Faux Leather Leggings (they’re so flattering and comfortable, they’re my favourite leggings) with my Oversized Zara White Shirt. Since this shirt is really loose, I used my Pretty Little Thing Corset Belt to pull the waist together and create the hourglass shape. I then finished it off with my Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100 Heels, and my Chanel Wallet On Chain Bag in Black. Black and white always makes a statement when it comes to outfits, and I think this look here proves that. It mixes fashionable and classy together, in a fun, but sophisticated way. I’m keeping this post short and sweet, focused mostly on the outfit, so what’s your opinion on this outfit? I’d love to know! Lorna xx. P.S. – Check out my slow motion video of this outfit by clicking here. *This post…

It’s 11 Years Today, Since I…

…Started Raindrops of Sapphire! I founded this fashion blog on the 10th March 2010 and I cannot believe that 11 years has gone by already. I shot these photos yesterday with my mum, and in all honesty, I had forgotten that it was my blog’s birthday today, but as it turns out, these photos actually ended up being perfect for this personal post. There’s something about them that embodies a more confident, powerful vibe that I’ve been feeling lately. I don’t know if it’s the trousers and heels combination, but I really love how it turned out. I will briefly tell you about the outfit at the bottom of this post, but first, I’ll share my thoughts at the moment with you! Where I’m at right now is definitely a good place, for the most part, but I also have my ups and downs. Like everyone around the whole world has felt this year, it’s been absolutely insane and crazy. None of us could have predicted that we would be in the midst of a global pandemic, and hardly any of us have been able to handle it with grace and positivity. It’s been extremely worrying, depressing, and quite frankly, life changing, especially for myself. I never thought that I’d be celebrating my blog’s 11th birthday this way, especially as the lockdowns have been on and off for a year now, but here we are. One thing that this has taught me is that I shouldn’t take everything for granted. Just the simple act of going out to eat lunch, see my family, and just simply going for a picnic…
