My 6 Favourite Summer Shoes Of The Moment

A few of you have shown some interest in my summer shoes that I’ve been sharing lately, either on Instagram or the blog, so I thought I would do a blog post dedicated to my 6 favourite summer shoes of the moment! My wardrobe is probably about 80% autumn/winter footwear due to living in England, so when it comes to the hot months, I usually stick to a few select styles that I know I love. Since I am only featuring 6 here, I couldn’t include everything (obviously) and I have only chosen shoes that are still available to buy as there’s no point talking about a specific pair that I love and it’s not available. However, if I was going to do that, it would be about my RAYE Ava Sandals and my Dolce Vita Karlo Slides which I often wear in my outfits. Now these are in no particular order, I like them all equally, so don’t take their arrangement as a ranking, so let’s get to it! Rebecca Minkoff Mika Mules First up is my Rebecca Minkoff Mika Mules in Peony Pink. You have seen these two times (here and here) on the blog already, and there’s soon to be a third outfit as well! I got them last month and since then I’ve fallen head over heels in love with them. They’re comfortable (I just need a plaster on my little toes to stop the rubbing on my EDS skin) and they are so sleek, minimal, chic, classy… The list is endless! The blush pink shade is also perfect for this season as it’s so subtle…

The Coral Blazer & Straw Clutch Outfit

The Coral Blazer With Pink Accessories Springtime! I get so excited when I see the blossom out on the trees and the pink hues everywhere. When I take a deep breath and smell freshly cut grass and fragrant scents (before irritating my nose) I feel content and happy inside as Spring is one of my favourite seasons. I know the weather is warm enough to not have to wear a million (or billion) layers, but it’s not so hot that I melt. It’s one of the prettiest seasons, along with Autumn, and I’m happy that it’s finally here. For my outfit, I wanted to wear some bright colours as I’ve been sticking to a lot of neutrals lately in the form of grey, beige or black, so a lively colour palette was so refreshing. I opted to wear my old Topshop Coral Blazer (you’ve seen it here as part of a set) with a beige tank top from River Island. I chose my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop Jeans in All Black to make a great base, then added in my Rebecca Minkoff Mika Mules in Peony Pink (seen here) with my new Rebecca Minkoff Leo Clutch in Pink Straw. I wasn’t sure if the pinks and corals would pair well together, however I liked the contrasting appearance and am happy with how it turned out. I’m sure you may have noticed that I’ve been quite into Rebecca Minkoff lately and am really loving some of her current season pieces. There’s so many cute bags and shoes that I just can’t seem to stop liking. I’ve already got three new…

Levi’s Sherpa Double Denim Jacket Outfit

Winter Double Denim Style In A Levi’s Sherpa Jacket Winter is so gloomy isn’t it? I feel like these photos capture a pretty true British winter – gritty, dark, miserable looking, wet… what we have grown accustomed too, but it gives a sense of character to the photos. I wonder if our weather is the reason behind why we’re such a miserable nation? Ha ha. This set was shot around new year so literally right in the middle of the cold, but of course it was raining too and this time I didn’t want to wear rain clothes. As much as I love them, it can get tiresome wearing them pretty much everyday thanks to out constant sky shower. Getting to the outfit, I chose to wear my Levi’s Men’s Sherpa Denim Jacket (seen before here) over an ALLSAINTS Roll Neck Jumper that I’ve worn so many times. It’s really thick and warm, so that underneath the thick denim jacket is a combination that kept me nice and toasty. As I love two different shades for double denim, I wore my J Brand Maria Skinny Jeans in Dove as grey and blue are perfect together, then opted for my Sam Edelman Petty Booties. I haven’t worn these in years! I’ve owned them since 2011 (I think) and they are still serving me well. Since it was raining, I wore my Rebecca Mnikoff Mini Mac as I don’t like to wear my designer bags when it’s wet, and then finished it off with my trusty Topshop Scarf. I’ve worn this scarf with almost everything! It’s such a versatile colour. I’m still…

My Valentine’s Day Outfit

Topshop Pinafore Corduroy Dress With Thigh High Boots Happy belated Valentine’s Day to you all! Adam and I celebrated it over Friday and Saturday instead of Sunday, so I wore this outfit out on the Friday for some lunch and a walk in the park while the daffodils had started to bloom, making a great setting for photos, and then on Saturday we stayed in and watched movies, then ordered some Wagamama takeaway in the evening to eat at home. Nothing lavish, expensive or grand for this one as we are both trying to save money, plus I prefer quiet and quality time over anything extravagant. To me it’s about the company you’re in rather than what fancy thing you might be doing. If you wanted to see what I got for Valentine’s Day from him too, you can see on my Instagram (click here). It was a tiny little Links of London ring charm that I put on a silver chain to wear as a necklace. It’s adorable! Getting to my actual Valentine’s outfit that I’m sharing with you here, I wanted to wear something different. I’m forever in jeans in Winter almost 100% of the time so I felt like it was time to make a change. I wore my Topshop Pinafore Corduroy Burgundy Dress which I got last month. I’d been eyeing it up for months and then decided to give it a go and I love it! I thought it would be more suitable for the warmer weather since it’s a dress and I don’t like tights, however I found these cashmere and cotton tights which…

Keeping It Casual

Burgundy Faux Leather Jacket With New Balance 410 I’m finally getting around to sharing these photos with you from shooting them back in October or November. There was always something else cropping up instead and it meant these got pushed to the side, but a new year means a new start and I wanted to get this older set published. I’m really quite exhausted and drained today, so I’m not able to type much unfortunately, so I’m going to have to keep this one short. I was wearing my GUESS faux leather burgundy jacket (similar) which I layered over a grey ASOS t-shirt. I paired these pieces with my Citizens of Humanity Rocket jeans in Axel and then finished it off with my burgundy New Balance 410 trainers/sneakers and my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Love cross body bag. I love the combination of burgundy, black and grey as I’m sure you’re all aware of by now and sometimes I really need comfort, so I tend to opt for my New Balance quite a lot. I love these because they are nice and slim for a sports shoe, which is flattering to my legs. Do any of you fashion bloggers often wear sports shoes? I’d love to know what you think of my outfit too! Please VOTE for my blogs in the UK Blog Awards 2016! I am also shortlisted in the fashion and beauty category of the UK Blog Awards for 2016 for both Raindrops of Sapphire and The Jeans Blog. It would mean so much to me if you could cast your vote for my blogs with the buttons below,…

My Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB Backpack in White

Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB Leather Backpack I wanted to do a review on my Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB Backpack in White as it’s been a bag that has got me through so much lately! Since I left school many, many years ago, I’ve never really worn a backpack since as I had to for such a long part of my childhood, but when I saw how cute this one was, I knew I had to get it. I originally purchased it for my holiday to St. Ives as I needed something that would carry all my essentials, not be too heavy or big and would allow me to be hands free. After searching for a while, this backpack ticked all the boxes for me! The MAB Backpack comes in two different sizes, a mini version like I have, or the original larger version. I will admit that I was more attracted to the various colours the larger one comes in, but being quite small framed I was aware that the larger size would overwhelm me and probably stick out the sides on me and be visible from the front, which is why I opted for the mini version. This one actually weighs about 0.54kg, which is heavier than most of my bags, but since it’s not cross body and it’s supported by both my shoulders, I can’t feel it. It’s about 11.5 inches in height, 8.75 inches in length and has a depth of 4.25 inches, so it really does fit everything I need in it. In the main compartment I could fit an umbrella, a toilet roll, my purse,…

The 90’s Denim Button Skirt And Backpack Outfit

Topshop button front denim skirt with a cropped top and backpack Growing up in the 90’s was something that I will always remember. Thinking back to the old bands that I loved (Boyzone, S Club 7, Spice Girls, B*Witched, A1, 5ive…) and feeling like boys and sports (namely English football and badminton) were the only thing that was important. Every time I think back to my childhood and life in the 90’s, living and playing outside all the time, I do often have a smile on my face as I remember the good times of it. The only thing that I can say I wasn’t a huge fan of now that I look back though was the clothing! I used to love curtain hairstyles on boys and everyone wore clothes so baggy you could probably make a tent out of them (I’m completely guilty of this), so instead of re-creating a 90’s look with true authenticity and risk looking ridiculous, I’ve done my own 90’s inspired look, but with much more fitting pieces, yet it still reminds me of the past. As I was a complete tomboy growing up, I never actually used to wear girls clothing, I used to always choose pieces from the boys section, except for my shoes as I had massive platforms like the Spice Girls did, so to tell the complete truth, I never wore skirts. I knew plenty of people who did wear skirts like this though, so I thought re-creating something that I didn’t actually wear was a great idea. I bought this Topshop Button Front Denim Skirt a few months ago when…

Rebecca Minkoff Denim Love Cross Body Bag

Rebecca Minkoff Denim Love Cross Body Bag I’m sure all of you know by now that my weakness is denim. Being a denim blogger, I am obsessed with it to the point of owning around 450 pairs of jeans (the last time I counted) in all different fits, washes, weights, styles and more, but I don’t only love denim in jeans, I love it in all sorts of things. This is why when I saw that Rebecca Minkoff had designed her famous Love Cross Body Bag in denim, I literally fell off my seat! What more could I ask for? I was hoping it might come in the mini size (it now does!) if I’m being picky, but I actually love this size more than I thought I would! Isn’t it stunning?! The bag itself is around 9.75 inches in length, 5.5 inches in height and has a depth of about 3.25 inches, making it quite a decent size for everything you want to carry. It has a really cool black and white floral printed lining too, for those of you wondering. I always love the different linings that Rebecca Minkoff uses and the different prints on the dust bags, so if you are interested in that too, this one comes with a satin navy dust bag, which looks really nice. Getting to the fabric, it’s got quilted denim on the front and plain denim on the back, all of which is encased in navy leather trims and details. These colours really compliment each other so well! The Love Cross Body also features a silver twist lock fastening and a…
