A Few New Winter Purchases

I’ve actually been fairly good recently and not bought many clothes at all. The last thing I bought was my KG by Kurt Geiger Winona boots last month as I have been trying to cut back, I always get this impulse issue, but now I wait a few days and decide if I really want something. I’m also wanting to get a new pair of heels, I’ve only been buying boots lately it seems, but my feet get cold so easily, which is why, but I think a pretty pair of platforms or stilettos would be great. I fell in love with a few things on the Zara website and I went shopping there on Sunday, I picked up this amazing denim jacket which is padded and has a fleece lining on the buttons, sleeves and collar. I originally wanted a Topshop lighter blue denim jacket with fleece that I saw a while back, but it’s not been released yet, even though it was due to drop in September, so I think it’s been cancelled. My boyfriend and I decided that this one was a great alternative and it fits really well and it so warm, so I love it! I was worried it was perhaps too blue, but in person it’s a lot more subtle. This is the other item I bought from Zara, it’s a grey blazer with faux leather contrasted sleeves. I always fit Zara blazers so well, they have the best fit for my shape out of any other brand I have tried and this one is so cute! I love the contrast with it as…

Some More New Purchases

I thought it was about time that I did a new purchases post again, as I have been buying a few things appropriate for Autumn, but also a couple of things that were for the end of Summer that I didn’t yet share with you. Most of the pieces I bought on sale or on eBay, so I got some great deals on them! There’s nothing I love more than finding the pieces you want on sale or for a fraction of the price! Above on the left is my new mint shirt from Forever 21. It wasn’t expensive as I’m sure you have guessed since it came from that shop, but I thought it was really cute! I’ve sort of got a little addiction to mint lately and sleeveless shirts! On the right is a large floral snood that I got from Warehouse for over 50% off. I know florals are for Spring and Summer mainly, but I plan on wearing it with my leather jacket and skinny jeans so I can transition it to Autumn too! The first bag above is one that I have had my eye on for a while! It’s the black and shearling cross body bag from ASOS. It wasn’t expensive at all, it was in the region of £25 if I remember correctly, but I thought it would be perfect for the cooler wear! It looks very Wintery and pretty! Below is one that I got from Forever 21, again it was cheap, around £20 so I couldn’t say no. I love the contrast of the plum and navy together, it’s really cute!…

My New Purchases From London

So as promised, here are my purchases from London from the weekend. For those of you who missed the post (you can see it here). I said I would reveal what was hiding in the shopping bags as soon as I could and here everything is! Since everything was insanely hectic in London, I never tried anything on, I usually just analyze the item and I can tell from looking at it if it will fit me, so I just take what I think will fit and hope for the best. Luckily everything worked out perfectly! Above (left) is a LOVE burgundy maxi skirt which I picked up at Topshop on Oxford Street and (right) an elephant necklace from Urban Outfitters. As you know burgundy is a weakness of mine and I couldn’t resist the colour and the elephant is just adorable! I have had my eye on it for some time. Above is a Pull and Bear khaki jacket with faux leather sleeves. Again, I got this on Oxford Street as I passed by the store. It’s much better suited to me than the Topshop version that I wanted in my wish list because this one has a drawstring waist and the other one doesn’t, so it looked too boxy. I much prefer it when brands take masculine items and make them feminine. If you want a masculine item you can just buy a men’s version, so that’s why I favoured this one instead. I did give you a preview of this worn on Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) and I love how it fits! Above are two swallow print shirts/blouses from…

Some New Purchases – Wedge Sneakers, Dip Dye, Burgundy & More!

It’s been a little while since I put together a new purchases post, so here it finally is! These are all pieces that I have bought over the past month, but two of them I got given as a birthday gift. Even though everything I buy is usually fairly cheap (unless I’ve saved for something expensive) I have to cut back on my spending. I had three part time jobs, 2 of which are blogging and the other was doing some listings for a company, however the listings job I can no longer do as the shop closed, so I’m still in the process of looking for something else I can do. So on that note, I probably wont have a new purchases post for quite some time again as I’m not able to get anything. I think I am going to take to doing DIY and customizing my current clothes! I love doing that! And of course I will share it with you. Anyway, above is my new River Island hidden wedge trainers/sneakers in burgundy. I’m not usually a sporty shoe kind of girl, but I fell in love with these a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t take my eyes off of them, so I finally decided to snap them up. They don’t make my feet look really big, which is something I worry about, and the burgundy colour is so pretty! For shoes they weren’t overly expensive either. I love them! (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook) I got these dip dye shorts from Topshop about 6 weeks ago, but I don’t think I ever shared…

New Purchases – Mulberry, J Brand, Current/Elliott, Zara, Topshop & H&M!

As you know, I usually like to share my new purchases with you every couple of months when I have a few to show. This time, thanks to the sales and also eBay, I have a few new ones that I am excited to post about! So here they all are! Above is my new Mulberry Alexa Clutch in Denim Loopy Leopard. I managed to score it on eBay, new, for an amazing price! I haven’t seen such a good deal like that on a rarer bag before. It arrived this morning and I love it so much! It’s perfect as it’s denim and I love the pops of colours on it! It’s really really pretty in person! I can’t wait to show it to you in an outfit post soon! This is my new Topshop Neon Yellow denim jacket. I had been eyeing it for some time on the Topshop website, perhaps for two months, but I never took the plunge and bought it until a couple of weeks ago. I decided it was time to add it to my wardrobe and I am glad that I did because it’s actually quite pastel neon so it’s very pretty, it’s not too in your face and the denim is light weight so it’s great for warmer weather! Again, I can’t wait to wear this in one of my outfit posts! Above is a couple of H&M essential tops that I got really cheap. I always need new vest tops and I love how short these are in the front and longer at the back. That’s perfect for me as I…

Some New Clothes Purchases

Over the past couple of months, I have acquired some new purchases, so I thought I would share them with you all in one big post. A couple of items you have already seen, like the denim shirt, grey denim leggings and the studded ombre jumper/sweater, but the rest I haven’t yet shared with you. So from left to right in the top image is a pink jumper/sweater I got in the sale from Topshop, a nude shirt with neon pink piping from the sale in Miss Selfridge, orange Earnest Sewn jeans which I got given to review, a yellow Zara blazer I purchased in London last month, mint leggings from Miss Selfridge, Topshop denim and crochet shorts and some lilac leggings from Miss Selfridge. (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook) This is just a close up photo so you can see the details and fabrics a little better than the far away image at the top. Plus, I love to see such bright colours laid out next to each other as it’s so pretty to look at! The sequin pair of denim shorts above are from Topshop and I love them! They are the pair I fell in love with from the press day last year (which you can see here) so I definitely needed them as a part of my closet when they became available. I haven’t had chance to wear them yet, but I can’t wait to! Above are a pair of Aztec leggings from Miss Selfridge which I also fell in love with! I think they are so much fun! Also a black PU Leather…

Some New Purchases

What I love most about this time of year (despite it being freezing which I definitely don’t love) is the huge sales! Literally everywhere has sales and I like to shop them a couple of weeks after they start because everything ends up even more reduced. Not all of these purchases are sale items, but a few of them were super cheap anyway or I had discount codes. I haven’t bought all of these this week though, these are purchases that I have accumulated over the past 2 months, but haven’t shared with you yet. Above, from left to right, is my new Topshop PU leather quilted biker jacket, a Topshop white sweater/jumper, Current/Elliott grey leopard jeans, Miss Selfridge burgundy and feather print leggings, Topshop necklaces and Kurt Geiger boots. The jacket I am absolutely in love with! The quilting on it is amazing! The jeans have been on my wish list for a good few months and I finally saved enough for them. I always had trouble with printed leggings since most of the time they are made from polyester, so what I decided to do for the feather ones is put them over the top of the cotton burgundy ones and I can’t feel a thing! So excited about that! The boots will be great for wearing with jeans and the necklaces were adorable! What items have you been buying over the holiday sales? I literally just save all my money for clothes purposes, I only sometimes eat lunch out maybe 3 times a month and I don’t go out to parties or anything like that, so all…

New Knitwear Purchases

It’s been a while since I made some knew purchases for clothes. I’ve been trying to save some money and hold out for the sales, but these 3 items I just couldn’t resist! I am always on the look out for knitwear because I love cute jumpers/sweaters, but I have a really hard time finding them. A lot of you know I’m irritated by fabrics like wool, mohair, polyester etc as I have sensitive skin and I also find it hard to get ones that are flattering on me because of my shape. The neon pink one above is my favourite as it’s so bright and warm as well as soft. It doesn’t irritate me at all and neither does the brown one. The rabbit one is thinner so it will be appropriate for warmer weather too, but I had to share these new purchases with you as I’m in love with them! I also got a pair of boots in the Kurt Geiger sale which I will show you soon and I am hoping to get a couple more things in the sales. Did you all have a nice Christmas and have you done any sale shopping? (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)
