I recently added two new beautiful bags to my growing collection, after having seen them online. Sometimes I am at fault of being too much of an impulse purchaser, however most of the time, I like to really think about what I want to buy and if I need it. I can say that the latter was the path I took for these new bags! This beautiful Marc by Marc Jacobs Too Hot To Handle Flap Percy bag in Hot Coral (above) had been on my wish list since I saw it in the Marc Jacobs boutique in London, back in April. The colour is just fantastic and it had been about a year or more since I purchased any new Marc by Marc Jacobs bags, so I thought it was about time. The Flap Percy is a gorgeous style, it’s really slim, lightweight and elegant, plus it works as a clutch or a cross-body, depending on how you want to wear it. The colour is a cross between a neon pink and orange, making that perfect shade of coral that I love. It doesn’t have much of a depth to it as it’s quite flat, more like an envelope style clutch, but I don’t carry many items around with me, so it’s just fine for me! Isn’t it gorgeous? If you love this one too, you can buy it online here. Next up (below) is my new Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Mini Affair bag in Tortora. You may remember me posting about this bag in my Currently Craving May wish list, so a couple of weeks ago I decided to…
I am aware that it’s not Autumn anymore, it is in fact Spring… However, this post somehow slipped away from me! Back in November I posted part 1 of my new purchases, but for some reason I never got around to posting part 2! I literally just found these images in a folder on my desktop and thought that I would still share them with you as you haven’t seen any of these pieces yet! Plus, I think any Autumn leaves background makes any fashion blog photos look pretty! Don’t you? Above is a basketball t-shirt that I picked up from Topshop all the way back in October, however since the weather got really cold, I haven’t been able to wear it. I’m hoping that I can wear it soon though as I have outfits planned for it! I’m thinking black skinny jeans or denim shorts! I loved this top so much when I first saw it, I think it’s the burgundy sleeves that got me! I do love burgundy! Now these skeleton leggings are also from Topshop and I purchased them around Halloween in October. I thought they were really cool and they look really quirky when worn, so I might do an outfit soon with these! They are really thin leggings though which is why I haven’t had the chance to wear them yet!
Over the past few months I have been buying a lot of new things for Autumn and Winter. I have picked up quite a few things in sale at places, as well as on eBay and with discount codes, so that always makes me feel better about getting new clothes and accessories. I do have quite a few pieces, which is why I am splitting this post in two. Above is my beloved Topshop red heart polka dot style shirt. I had been in love with this shirt for ages, but it had sold out completely online and I couldn’t find it anywhere else. It was pure luck that I found it in the Selfridges Topshop department on Wednesday when I was in London, so I snapped it up before I could even think about it. I was so excited to finally find it! It’s so pretty, it reminds me a lot of the deeper burgundy shirt with bigger hearts from the Burberry collection, but I find this one is a little more girly. It’s since come back in stock online and you can purchase it here if you love it too. It’s a very popular shirt! These gorgeous Paige Crown Jewels jeans are what I picked up on eBay for only £30! They are brand new with tags and my size, so I couldn’t believe what a bargain I had found. I originally saw these jeans at the press day earlier this year and thought the print was really interesting and cool. I think they will definitely make a statement!
I haven’t done a new purchases post in quite a while, so I thought it was about time that I did. Over the past month or so I have acquired a few new things while trying to stock up my Autumn wardrobe! You probably already know by now that Autumn is my favourite time of year and I can never get enough jackets and coats to suit the season. I’m also very much addicted to accessories in the form of jewellery and anything sparkly! Above I have 3 new little things that I got as I am loving gold at the moment. I have a nail polish from Topshop in a pale and pearly gold which I think is absolutely gorgeous! I managed to finally stop biting my nails about 2 months ago so I can’t wait to start painting them! I purchased the other 2 bracelets from River Island when I fell in love with them. I’m a sucker for gold chains and had been wanting one as a bracelet for some time. I’m not really a fan of the bracelets with clasps though as it’s pretty impossible to put them on and off yourself, so when I saw this one with a t-bar closure, I knew it would be perfect! Finally, that brings me to the beetle bracelet, isn’t it amazing? The coloured stones were what originally attracted me to the bracelet in the first place as I love rainbows, but I think the giant beetle on the front of it gives it so much character! It’s gorgeous! I have 2 pairs of the Topshop metallic toe cap…
I haven’t done a new purchases post in quite some time, so I thought it was about time that I did one. I have been sharing with you a few new things here and there, but I haven’t really been on a big shopping spree in a while, so I thought it was about time that I did! I had been wanting a pair of denim dungarees (or overalls to my American readers) for a really long time. I used to wear dungarees a lot as a child and I am so glad they have came back in fashion! I purchased these G-Star denim dungarees in It Aged online at ASOS in the sale for an amazing price! I definitely couldn’t say no to the sale amount, plus an extra 10% off as well, so I snapped them up and I adore them! The best thing about them is they are slightly slouchy, but they are skinny, so they don’t have that ‘mom vibe’ about them at all! I will have an outfit post featuring these dungarees really soon! I also purchased this adorable burgundy humming bird skirt from ASOS in the same order. The skirt was a great price and I have been in need of something floaty and easy wearing for this heat wave we are having. The humming bird print on the skirt is really dainty and the fit of it is very feminine and beautiful. I will also have an outfit post this week featuring this skirt!
I couldn’t resist getting another pair of hidden heel hi tops! I know I said I was stopping at 4 pairs when I did my collection post, but I was really in need of some tan shoes and I knew these would be perfect! They are from Topshop and a lot different to most of my others due to the velcro strap across the ankle. They are also really comfortable and tan goes with everything! So I’m very happy to add these to my collection! I also picked up this Zara black, cream and burgundy colour block bag in the sale a couple of months ago, but I haven’t yet shared it with you as I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep it. It’s a little larger than I like my bags to be, however I think it will be perfect for when I go to London and on my travels as I can fit more things in it. I love the colour combination of it though, it combines all three of my favourite shades in an outfit! What do you think?
The after Christmas and January sales are one of my favourite times of year for shopping! Over the years I have become quite good at getting the deals I want for a good price by thinking smart and budgeting well. I was given a challenge by VoucherCodes.co.uk to navigate the high street sales with £80 and to document my experience, while sharing my sale shopping tips and tricks with you! I think sale shopping is a really good way to stock up on trends for the coming season. Usually the items that hit the sales are from the previous season, so this year there were a lot of Spring/Summer pieces at discounted prices, so I got a few of them for Spring next year, as pastels are always on trend during the warmer months.
I said I would share my new purchases with you, so here is the post. I decided to take my photos outside this time because it was just too dull inside, I think I might start doing this often actually as the lighting is so much better! These are purchases that I got in the sale and a few things here and there throughout December as well. Above is my new Zara quilted faux leather jacket in black, from their TRF collection, so it wasn’t as expensive as it could have been if it was from the regular collection. I absolutely love this jacket! I’m a big fan of the leather look jackets and this one is cut so nicely that it’s really flattering. It curves around the spine and waist so it gives a nice silhouette. You did see this jacket in yesterday’s outfit post here. I got this burgundy body warmer/gilet in the sale from Topshop, it was reduced by over 50% so it was a great bargain! I absolutely love these types of jackets because they are so warm and insulated, yet you can still wear your jumpers underneath without looking bulky! I love the colour of this one and it also has a grey hood which is cute! Buy it here.
