Wearing Autumn Browns In The Summer

I’m never usually the type of person that conforms to seasonal clothes (unless it’s too hot and minimal clothing is the only option), so I don’t generally only wear browns in the Autumn, brights in the Summer etc, I prefer to wear whatever I feel like wearing on that day. This is why I am wearing what could be determined as an Autumn outfit, in the middle of Summer! I got these brown jeans and I really wanted to wear them right now, so I went down the route of pairing them with different shades of brown and cream! I’m wearing Denim of Virtue Skinny Jeans, an ASOS Squirrel Shirt, my Sam Edelman Mocassins, a Gold Becca Laws Necklace, my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Deer Brown, my Marc by Marc Jacobs Blade Chrono Watch and various Bracelets from Topshop and ASOS. As you can see just below, I have also started to include mini videos with my outfit posts. This is a new feature that I am starting and I hope you like it! A lot of you have requested that I do outfit videos as well, so hopefully this one is ok! You can see parts of my town in the video as well, which I know is always interesting! We ate at Prezzo for the first time and I actually quite liked it! You can see the food photos at the bottom of this post too! So, what do you think of the outfit and the video? Comment and let me know!

LuisaViaRoma Firenze4Ever Style Lab – Look 3

So here is my third and final look from the style lab styling and modelling session at LuisaViaRoma for Firenze4Ever. You can see my first look here and my second look here. For this outfit, I wanted to make an ensemble that was casual and comfortable, something you could wear for running errands and around the home on a Sunday, but with class, so it looks put together. We shot these photos in a penthouse, which was absolutely gorgeous! I wore a pair of Pierre Balmain distressed skinny jeans for the base, which I thought were really pretty. I really liked the wash and the raw hem that they had, it’s something different to what I usually wear. I paired the jeans with an Equipment silk satin blouse in Blue as I liked the colour with the denim. It’s the same as the pink one you have just seen in look 2, but in a gorgeous blue. For my accessories, I chose a Mulberry Mini Alexa in Oak as I adore Mulberry and think their bags are so easy and classic, then I went with a pair of Alexander McQueen Sequined Skull loafers in Navy as they were so comfortable and incredibly easy to walk in, yet still edgy and stylish because of the skull embellishment on the front. I have to say though, out of the three looks that I styled, this one is probably my least favourite, not because I don’t like it, but as it’s something casual, it’s quite easy on the eye, where as my other two looks are more striking and have a pop to…

I’m Not Ashamed To Be The Cat Lady

(Skirt – Exact, Top – Similar, Heels – Similar, Sunglasses – Exact, Bag – Similar, Watch – Exact) How adorable is this skirt? I purchased it about 4 months ago as a random buy because I saw it and completely fell in love with it. Those of you who know me or follow me on Instagram will know just how much I love cats, so this skirt is the perfect one for me! I’m wearing a Cat Print Skirt from River Island, a Zara Black T-Shirt, Topshop Gabbi Metallic Toe Cap Heels, my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Deer Brown, my Ray-Ban Aviators, my Marc by Marc Jacobs Blade Chrono Rose Gold Watch and various Bracelets from ASOS and Topshop. I paired the skirt with black and brown as you know I love the cream, brown and black combinations together. I think it turned out quite sweet as an outfit, definitely one I would wear again! You also might recognise the style of these shoes, I have the nude pair which I wear all the time, but I was looking for a black pair for such a long time and then finally found a pair on eBay, new, in my size, so I was over the moon they showed up! Much lower than retail as well! So, what do you think of the outfit? Comment and let me know!

The Burgundy Dress With Brown Accessories

(Dress – Similar, Sunglasses – Exact, Watch – Exact, Sandals – Similar, Bag – Similar) I wore this outfit yesterday when I went to town with my boyfriend. It was sort of a needed trip as we purchased all of our travel items, including a big suitcase and travel adapters, ready for our trip to Italy very soon! We have been so lucky here with the weather! Usually it’s never warm and it’s been hot and sunny for about a week, every day! I love it! I’m looking forward to enjoying the heat in Italy though! I’m wearing an ASOS Burgundy Dress and Brown Sandals, my Marc by Marc Jacobs Rose Gold Blade Chrono Watch, my Ray-Ban Blue Mirrored Aviator Sunglasses, my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Deer Brown and Jewellery from Forever 21 and ASOS. I got this dress from ASOS a really long time ago, maybe about 4 months ago, however I never got the chance to wear it as it hasn’t been warm enough. It’s really pretty though and at first I didn’t find it very flattering, but after wearing it for a while, it’s sort of settled down to my body shape and it looks much prettier. I thought pairing it with brown sandals and similar colour accessories would tone it down and make it day appropriate (it is technically an evening dress) as I never usually conform to specific occasions for my clothes! What do you think of the outfit? Comment and let me know!

Egyptian Pharaoh Style

(Jeans – Similar, T-Shirt – Exact, Jacket – Similar, Boots – Similar, Bag – Similar) I put this outfit together to wear out to town yesterday with my boyfriend. When I initially saw this t-shirt on ASOS about 2 weeks ago, I knew that it would be perfect for my style. I love wearing pretty t-shirts with jackets and jeans, it’s definitely my kind of look. The thing I love most about it is how 3D, bold and bright the print of the pharaoh is! I’m really glad that I bought it! I’m wearing Paige Denim Indio Black Jeans, a Mr Gugu & Miss Go Pharaoh T-Shirt, a Zara Black Blazer, my KG by Kurt Geiger Winona Boots and my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Sycamore. When I was putting this outfit together, I was definitely inspired to keep it all black so the t-shirt would be the main focal point, but I needed some warmth as it was a little cold so the jacket was a good choice. I also kept with the colour theme and chose the sycamore yellow colour bag to compliment the gold tones in the t-shirt. I think this actually might be one of my favourite outfits! Do you like it? Comment and let me know!

Burgundy, Black & Grey At Cardiff Castle

(Jeans – Similar, Jacket – Similar, Shoes – Exact, Bag – Similar, Sunglasses – Similar) Those of you who follow me on Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) will know that I was in the country of Wales on Saturday visiting Cardiff Castle. It was mine and my boyfriends 5 year anniversary and we thought it would be nice to take the train to Wales and visit the castle. We both had an amazing time there and there was so much to see, it was really fun! I will talk more about the castle in my second post as I’m splitting it into two, this one features my outfit and the next one will feature all of the castle pictures! I’m wearing my Koral Merlot Skinny Jeans, my Zara Faux Leather Sleeve Blazer, my H&M White T-Shirt, my Grey TOMS, my Ray-Ban Cats 5000 Sunglasses and my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Deer Brown. I honestly did have such a lovely day, it couldn’t have gone better really. The train trip was fine and not too long, the weather was warm all day, our lunch out was nice and the castle was even better than I had expected. It did start raining when we were due to go home and unfortunately I’ve not been too well yesterday and today, but the Saturday was worth it. I’m excited to share the rest of the photos with you soon! Have any of you visited Cardiff Castle before? Comment and let me know what you think of my outfit too!

Polka Dots And Cream

(Jeans – Similar, Blazer – Similar, Top – Similar, Shoes – Exact, Bag – Similar, Sunglasses – Similar, Watch – Exact, Necklace – Exact, Bracelets – Exact, Exact & Exact) This is the outfit that I wore to lunch on Saturday and it’s just something that I randomly threw together without any planning. We ate at one of my favourite places, Pizza Express! I had my usual pizza without any cheese, I don’t have anything different lol, and then I also had dough balls which I absolutely love! We then went and had sorbet for dessert! I love it when the sun shines, it makes everything so much more happier and just enjoyable! I’m wearing Paige Polka Dot Jeans, a Cream Blazer, Gold Cross Necklace from Topshop, a Sparkle & Fade Top, my TOMS Natural Canvas Shoes, my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Deer Brown, my Daniel Wellington Watch and Bracelets from Topshop and Miss Selfridge. You can see one of the photos below of myself on the mini red carpet. A couple of guys were taking photos of peoples street style they liked for the newspaper and that should be in there tomorrow actually, so I’m going to pick up a copy and share it on my social media once I see it in there. Actually just to clue you in, I am going to be making some changes to my layout and banner very soon! I’ve been working for a long time with a designer to come up with something that I really like and I think I am finally happy with the new layout I will be installing…

Denim Shorts With A Cat Face T-Shirt

(Shorts – Exact, T-Shirt – Exact, Shoes – Exact, Bag – Similar, Sunglasses – Exact, Bracelets – Similar) On Saturday I couldn’t believe that it was actually warm enough to wear shorts! I was out during the day, but I was wearing jeans, so when I got home I changed right into shorts and a t-shirt as I couldn’t miss the opportunity to wear them. Living in England limits my options so much as I only get to wear shorts a couple of weeks out of the year. I did receive these from Sway Chic to style and I actually didn’t like how they looked or fitted me at all in full length, so I did some alterations by cuffing up the hems and making the pocket bags shorter. I much prefer how they look this way! I’m wearing Denim Shorts from Sway Chic, a Cat Face T-Shirt and Lanie Wedges from Topshop, my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Deer Brown, my Ray-Ban Aviators, my Daniel Wellington Watch and Bracelets from Miss Selfridge and ASOS. I picked up this cat t-shirt when I was in Topshop actually on Saturday as I fell in love with it. As you know I am a huge cat person and the face on this one is just so beautiful! The colours are intense and the eyes are my favourite part about it! You can definitely expect to see this in more of my summer outfits in the future! I’ve also had these wedges a little while, but it hasn’t been warm enough to wear them until the weekend. Despite the height of them, they are…
