Back To The End Of Summer Outfit

Skinny Jeans And A Simple Roll Neck Jumper Can you believe it’s almost February? I’m losing track of how fast everything is literally going, especially when I shot a lot of outfit photos in advance to prepare for the awful winter I was expecting us to have here in the UK. I’m glad I did as I’ve had one outfit in particular planned for about 3-4 weeks and haven’t been able to wear it at all due to the rain, freezing temperatures and wind. It’s made photoshoots increasingly difficult! I have one here that we shot around the end of summer/early autumn though and I’m finally sharing it with you as I prepare for the warmer weather. I know I said I didn’t like summer because it gets too hot, but at the moment I am grateful for any amount of heat that we might get anytime soon – please! Ha ha. For this outfit I chose to wear my AG The Farrah Ankle Skinny Jeans in 13 Years Daybreak Destroyed (you’ve seen them before here and they’re on sale!) and styled them with my Topshop Roll Neck Top (seen here and here). This was a combination that I actually threw together after I’d worn the tapestry dress in a previous shoot, and I liked how it looked! I finished it off with my Jimmy Choo Melba Booties and my Mulberry Lily Bag in Oak. Again, all of these items are pieces I have worn numerous times and the jeans and top are two of my favourites in my closet, so I’m sticking to my re-wearing rule quite nicely at…

A Woodland Stroll In Nude

All Saints Plait Balfern Nude Jacket With Skinny Jeans By nude, I mean my jacket and boots! I’m definitely not naked in the woods, ha ha. Adam and I shot these photos a couple of weekends ago when I got to wear my All Saints Plait Balfern Leather Jacket in Nude for the first time. I’ve not been able to wear it more than once so far as I can’t risk it being out in the rain as it will get ruined, so I’m truly hoping the weather warms up nicely and stops raining for me to wear it more. It goes with so many things, but I decided to style it with a simple tank top, my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Jeans with my DIY Raw Hem and then a pair of Topshop Nude Ankle Boots. For my accessories, I chose my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Sycamore to add some colour and then wanted a dainty piece of jewellery so I opted for my Links of London Ring Charm Necklace that Adam got me for Valentine’s Day a couple of months ago. I am definitely preferring elegant and small jewellery now, even though I don’t own very much of it at all. But I feel like big statement necklaces and chunky bracelets are too over powering to my outfits currently, but we will have to see how that changes in the Summer when I’m wearing a lot less clothing layers. I am realising now that I am a lot blonder, I’m suiting more lighter shades of pastels and beige which was something that I felt washed me out before.…

Under The Cherry Blossom Tree

Springtime Outfit Under The Cherry Blossom With Chelsea Boots When I was out last weekend, it finally felt like Spring was in full bloom. All of the flowers were out, there was cherry blossom all over the trees (which happen to be my favourite) and it was just beautiful to be around. It was of course freezing, as it often is, but seeing the park in all its glory definitely put a smile on my face and I finally felt like I can get excited about Summer which is just around the corner. For my outfit, I needed something warm but an outfit that was also colourful with a hint of warmer weather appropriate, which is why I chose my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop Jeans which I did a bit of alterations to in the form of a DIY Raw Hem. The raw hem is something I adore and I bought a new pair of them just so I could have raw hem in this wash as well as a normal hem line. I layered over my All Saints Lorie Coat and then threw on this River Island Scarf to add some colour and my Mulberry Lily Bag in Oak to blend in with the browns I was going for. Now for the shoes, I wanted to do a separate paragraph for these as I adore them! I chose these Short Chelsea Boots from Celtic & Co. to go with the cropped length of my jeans as I think they are the perfect match. If you haven’t heard of Celtic & Co. it’s a Cornwall based brand and they…

On The Cheddar Cliff Tops

An outfit shoot on the Cheddar cliff tops I’m finally sharing with you the photos from about a month ago at Cheddar Gorge. You may remember a few shots I showed you from part of my trip away, but here’s a full look at the outfit that I wore there. It was incredibly windy on the cliff tops as I’m sure you can imagine, so trying to keep my hair under control was a feat of its own, plus it was absolutely freezing, so we did our best. Some of the outtake photos from the shoot though are hilarious! I’m just happy we have some salvageable ones! Cheddar is a beautiful little village area that reminds me of my childhood as I used to go there frequently with my gran and grampy, spending some time walking around the quaint little shops and enjoying the scenery as well as having a good old fashioned pub lunch. I even used to make pottery there and visit the cheese factory and sweet shop, so I hold a lot of fond memories of Cheddar in my heart. Unfortunately it’s changed for the worse over the last 17 years or so and no longer has most of the of the things that I remember, but there were still some areas that brought back memories for me, so it wasn’t all bad! For my day trip there, I wore my comfortable Citizens of Humanity Rocket Jeans in Aura again, but layered them with my Topshop Roll Neck Sweater which is actually made in Britain! How cool is that? I then chose my Gina London Chukka Boots…

A Casual And Warm Windy Beach Outfit

A casual and warm windy beach outfit These photos were taken a few weeks ago when I mentioned that I went to Burnham-on-Sea beach. We actually did shoot the whole look and not just Instagram snaps, so of course here it is. I have so much to share with you guys over the coming weeks and I can’t wait! Everything is scheduled in until around mid November, but I have some exciting posts that I’m really happy about! Anyway, getting to my look here, I just went for something really simple and easy, pairing my Koral Los Angeles Merlot skinny jeans with a black vest top and my River Island grey cardigan. I cuffed the jeans and styled them with my Sam Edelman Petty booties in black and then added a pop of colour with my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Sycamore. It’s a lot colder now than when we took these photos, it’s crazy how much the season has changed now and how dark it’s getting. The clocks go back tonight and it’s going to get even darker again, this always makes outfit shoots so tricky! Anyway, let me know what you think of this outfit! Have you done anything fun this weekend?

Under The Autumn Shadows

A jewel tone Autumnal outfit I’m checking in with you all! For those of you who follow me on Snapchat and Instagram (follow me @LornaRaindrops) you might already know that this week I have been on a small holiday and have been enjoying some time off. I’ve been to Burnham-on-Sea, Cardiff in Wales and recently today, I’ve been to Cheddar Gorge. I will say that it hasn’t been the easiest with my tiredness and I had to take a complete day of rest yesterday as I did much too much in Wales on Monday, but it was worth it. I got to see some amazing things, which I will share with you in another post soon. I’ve noticed now that Autumn is actually here, in full force. It’s been really cold, windy and so many golden hues are cropping up when I’ve been out and about now, it’s beautiful. This was an Autumnal look that I put together a few weeks ago actually, during the end of Summer as I was really feeling in the mood to get the jewel tones going on and I had spotted that a few trees had started to shed their leaves early, so it made a great location for a few of the photos. For my outfit, I chose to wear my Citizens of Humanity Rocket skinny jeans in Axel with a burgundy top from River Island. I tucked the jeans into my old Kurt Geiger Winona boots and then finished it off with my Mulberry Mini Taylor bag in Sycamore with some various bracelets and a deer necklace. I adore wearing black skinny…

Let’s Take A Trip Down Seven Boot Lane

Seven Boot Lane Eloise Boots with an Autumn inspired outfit I’m very much into ankle boots and skinny jeans when the Autumn comes around and it kind of becomes one of my signature looks. I love to cuff the skinny jeans though as I don’t often like the way jeans tuck into boots, so I rolled the hems of my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop Jeans in Aura up before pairing them with my new Seven Boot Lane Walnut Suede Boots. To keep with the Autumnal theme, I went with my New Look Suedette top which I layered my River Island cardigan over, finished with my Mulberry Mini Taylor in Sycamore and my Topshop necklace. I absolutely adore the leopard belt strap on these boots, it’s such a unique touch and it goes so well with the two other shades against the dark brown. They are truly gorgeous! I found them in the Seven Boot Lane boutique in Bath a few weekends ago and fell in love with them, so I’m really happy to be working with them on this post. I took them in size 39 and I’m between a 39 and 40 if you need help with sizing. I wore them all day and was comfortable the entire time too, which is always a bonus. Speaking of the brand though, the boutique is celebrating their 2nd birthday in their Milsom Place boutique in Bath, it co-insides with a late night shopping event called ‘Dress to Impress’ which a lot of shops and restaurants around Bath are getting involved in. Seven Boot Lane will be offering in-store offers and…

Vintage Levi’s Denim Shorts With A White Studded Shirt

(Shorts – Exact, Shirt – Similar, Sandals – Exact, Bag – Exact, Watch – Exact, Bracelets – Exact) I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago, on the day before my birthday when Adam and I went out to eat lunch. It was still warm and sunny back then, unlike now where we have constant rain and cold. If only the weather would make its mind up! It was nice while it lasted though! For this look, I was wearing my beloved vintage Levi’s denim shorts (I seem to live in these during the Summertime, as do most fashion bloggers) which I paired with my Miss Selfridge studded shoulder shirt. I’ve had both of these pieces for a couple of years now, I just love re-wearing them every now and then. For my bag, I opted for something I have had a long while as well, my Mulberry Lily in Oak. I think this is such a classic and it just goes with everything! I then chose my new brown sandals which I got from ASOS for only £12, such an amazing deal! Finally, I layered on my Olivia Burton butterfly watch and some various different bracelets that I usually tend to gravitate towards. When it’s hot out, I do often find myself reaching for light and easy pieces, just to keep me cool and not have clothing clinging to my body. I am excited for Autumn to finally hit though, when it does. The crisp, cool air and the orange hue of the leaves is something that always makes me happy. It’s definitely my favourite season! Anyway, please…
