Styling A Going Out Look On A Budget

Netvouchercodes.co.uk gave me an imaginary budget of £100 to create an outfit using items from brands they represent. These items had to have a deal going on, so for example, they needed to be in the sale, have a discount code or on a special offer, in order to qualify as part of the outfit. I’ve had a lot of fun collaborating with them on this as I love to make up and plan outfits! My total imaginary money spent for this whole look was actually £92, so I was well within the budget for this outfit! I chose a black and white thick striped skirt with a burgundy cropped jumper, both in the sale from Topshop. I love black and white stripes at the moment as you know, I love how well they go with burgundy! I would actually wear the jumper with the sleeves rolled up for style. I then chose a pair of black platform sandals in the sale from Miss Selfridge to keep within the style and to elongate the legs. For the accessories, I chose a black heart ring and a gold/silver beaded bracelet pack, both from Miss Selfridge which offer 10% off for students, so if I was a student, I would use this discount. Then lastly, for nail polish, I chose a metallic red for most of my nails and then a gold shade for the ring fingers. Both of these are from Topshop and on offer at the moment, 2 for £10. So you can see that everything I chose here had an offer on and I think the website is really…

Burgundy With Black & White

(Jeans – Similar, Jumper – Similar, Shirt – Similar, Boots – Exact ON SALE, Bracelet – Exact, Hat – Exact, Necklace – Exact, Ring – Similar) This is an outfit that I put together after having planned it in my head for quite some time. I had been looking for the perfect cable knit burgundy jumper for a while and I found this one on eBay for such a great price, I couldn’t pass it up! I don’t usually wear shirts underneath my jumpers, but I have always loved the way it looks and I think the combination of burgundy, black and white goes nicely together, it’s one of my favourite colour schemes. I’m wearing my Levi’s Black Jeans, an Anthropologie Burgundy Jumper, a Miss Selfridge Shirt, Panama Gold Bracelet, Urban Outfitters Bird Ring, a Topshop Gold Cross Necklace, an Un-Branded Burgundy Hat and my KG by Kurt Geiger Winona Boots. For my jewellery, I wore a Hipanema gold bracelet which I got given to style by Rtister, the same place that I got my Hudson boots from. It’s so pretty! It looks like multiple bracelets, but it’s actually just one and it clasps together with a magnet at the back. I used to always favour silver jewellery, but for a while now I have preferred gold for statement pieces as I feel like they really warm up a look as silver can look quite cold sometimes. Anyway, what do you think of the outfit? Comment and let me know!

Autumn Haze

(Jumper – Exact, Leggings – Similar, Boots – Similar, Bag – Exact, Rings – Exact & Exact, Necklace – Exact) As it’s getting really cold now, I’ve started to layer a lot more. I wore a long sleeve top under this jumper and also a pair of plain leggings underneath the shiny ones and I was still fairly cold. I picked this jumper up while I was at the Bristol Fashion Week show on Friday at Topshop as I fell in love with it. I posted it on my Instagram while I was in the changing room too. I’m wearing a Topshop Ombre jumper and Scandi Triangle ring, Miss Selfridge Wet Look leggings, ASOS Cat ring, Urban Outfitters Elephant necklace, my River Island wedge boots and my Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Pixie bag in Coral. One thing I love about Autumn is the gorgeous sun shine you get through the buildings and trees at such an early time. Usually in summer it happens a lot later in the evening, but this was around 5pm and it turned out gorgeous! I love the haze and light spots that it creates on the photos, it’s a really cool effect. Anyway, what do you think of the outfit? Do you like it?

My Outfit From The Paige & Selfridges Event In London

I know I mentioned to you before, when I made my post about the Selfridges event with Paige in London, that I didn’t have any outfit photos, well I found these from the official event photos and it’s the closest I can get to showing you my outfit. When I’m caught off guard my face seems to look pretty ridiculous as you can see below, ha ha. Anyway, I was wearing my oversized Topshop denim shirt, my Miss Selfridge brown leggings, my ASH Bowie sneakers and my ASOS blue satchel. Sorry that I don’t have anymore photos! At least in the one above, where I was asked to hold up my favourite Paige jeans, you can sort of see from head to toe. You can see more of the official event photos on DenimBlog along with a video here. What do you think? (Follow me on Twitter, Bloglovin and Facebook)

The Khaki Jacket With Leather Sleeves

(Jeans – Similar, Jacket – Similar, Top – Exact, Shoes – Similar) The weather was cool enough on Saturday to wear my new Pull & Bear jacket so I decided to pair it with a casual outfit. I kept it comfortable with my Bleulab jeans, a simple vest top and my high tops and I sort of colour coordinated for Autumn. I have actually fallen in love more than I thought I would with this jacket. It’s so cute and easy to wear! I love the drawstring in the middle so that it doesn’t hide your waist. It helps to keep it feminine. I’m wearing my Pull & Bear Khaki Jacket With Faux Leather Sleeves, my Bleulab Reversible Jeans, a Miss Selfridge Burgundy Tank Top and my River Island Hidden Heel Burgundy High Tops. Did you all have a nice weekend? I usually include my lunch photos from when I go out with my boyfriend, however this time around I was really hungry so I didn’t worry too much about taking the photos. You have seen what I ate before though, I chose my usual pizza with no cheese from one of my favourite Italian Pizza places. So what do you think of the outfit? By the way, don’t forget to follow me on Twitter, FaceBook, Pinterest and Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) to keep up to date with my photos and things!

Coated Red Jeans, Studded Flats & Purple Eyes

(Jeans – Similar, Shirt – Exact, Shoes – Exact, Watch – Exact, Bracelets – Exact & Exact) I’m not really sure why my facial expressions in some of these photos is borderline grumpy, I wasn’t, ha ha, I’m putting it down to the light as the sky was really bright and hurt my eyes until I went under a tree. I put this look together quickly on Sunday to go to the farm shop and wander around, but I quite like the bright contrasting colours. I have also included photos of my make up as I usually don’t, I did my eyes a little differently this time. I’m wearing my J Brand 901 Coated Red jeans, my Miss Selfridge studded shirt, my new Topshop studded flats and bracelets from River Island and ASOS. I picked up these shoes in Topshop over the weekend as they were pretty cheap and I had been looking for a comfortable pair of studded flats. These are really soft all over so they don’t hurt my feet thank goodness. That was the selling point for me. Also, on a side note, I’m headed to London tomorrow for a Selfridges event with Paige Adams-Geller and Sarah Harris. I’m quite excited about that and will of course share photos of my day out in London via Instagram tomorrow and in a blog post next week.

The Mint Skinny Jeans

(Jeans – Similar, Top – Exact, Bag – Similar, Watch – Exact, Shoes – Similar, Necklace – Similar) I should have posted this outfit a little while ago as it’s actually the outfit that I wore for my second birthday lunch (see the first one here) with just my boyfriend on the 4th. I have so many other photos and posts though, it got a little sidetracked. But none the less, I really liked this outfit! It’s simple but cute and I like the sheer shirt with the mint shade of the jeans. Although, after looking at these photos, I feel like I should have maybe picked a lighter shoe. I’m wearing Mavi mint skinny jeans, a Miss Selfridge studded shoulder shirt, my Topshop amethyst necklace, Marc by Marc Jacobs Blade Chrono watch in Rose Gold, my Urban Outfitters wedges, some AVON beaded bracelets and my Mulberry Alexa clutch. I have noticed as well that my hair is getting naturally darker. It usually lightens up a lot in the summer from the sun, but I guess since we haven’t had that much of it this year, it’s staying darker. As much as I don’t like to get my hair dyed, I think I might need to get some highlights. And just a reminder, my Sphere of Life Mosaic bracelet giveaway is ending today, make sure you enter! Relaxing At The Park In A Leopard Maxi Skirt

(Skirt – Similar, Top – Exact, Sandals – Exact, Sunglasses – Exact, Necklace – Similar, Bracelet – Exact) I wore this outfit on Friday when I went to the park to wind down. I usually don’t feel the heat because I have cold hands and feet all the time, but on this day I was actually almost roasted and I had to go and sit in the shade after 10 minutes. It was really nice to just lie there on the grass and blanket and just appreciate the quiet. Like I mentioned in my previous post, the weekend really was some much needed rest for me. I’m wearing an unbranded Leopard maxi skirt, a Miss Selfridge burgundy tank top, ASOS Flossy sandals, Ray Ban Cat Eye sunglasses, H&M bracelets, my Urban Outfitters Deer necklace, my Gina Stewart Sapphire bracelet and my beautiful Sphere of Life Mosaic bracelet. I went with this outfit as it was something really simple and bold at the same time. Apart from the accessories, nothing cost me over £18. The skirt was a find on eBay under £10 and the tank top was cheap too. I always have the thought process that if something looks good and seems to be made quite well, then it doesn’t matter if it has a designer name on it or not. I just usually like what I like, whether that’s unbranded things or not. By the way, the Sphere of Life Mosaic bracelet giveaway ends in 3 days, so make sure you enter to win the beautiful bracelet!
