Styling The New Hudson Barbara Jeans

(Jeans – Exact, Blazer – Similar, Top – Similar, Shoes – Exact, Necklace – Similar) First of all, I wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you entering The Somerset Toiletry Company giveaway that I published yesterday, it’s had almost 500 entries so far which is incredible! It is a fantastic luxury toiletries gift set though, so I don’t blame you all for jumping on board so quickly! If you missed it, you can enter by clicking here. Also, I’m still running a Hudson Jeans giveaway over on The Jeans Blog, you can win a pair of Collin or Nico skinny jeans! You can enter that one by clicking here. Anyway, getting around to this outfit, this is one that I put together on Sunday last week and it included my new Hudson Barbara high rise skinny jeans! The Barbara is their new cut for Autumn and I love the higher rise! They kept the placement of the back pockets in the right place and just raised the height of the jean, so as you can see they are incredibly flattering. I love these! I paired these jeans with my burgundy Peplum top from Topshop and layered over my Zara cream zip blazer. I also chose my new Topshop coin necklace as I saw this in the shop last weekend and thought it was perfect! Now moving onto the shoes, I need a separate paragraph for these because they are really pretty! I got them from Kelya in Europe as they wanted me to style them and see what fashion bloggers, such as myself, thought of their…

Standing In The Versailles

(Jeans – Exact & Exact, Top – Similar, Heels – Similar, Bag – Exact, Necklace – Similar) I got these amazing Versailles print jeans from Hudson and I knew just how I wanted to style them! Something classic that made the jeans the focal point, but something that really stands out as well. The print on these jeans is amazing! I fell in love with them when I originally saw them at the Hudson press day last year, it’s literally like a photo printed on top of the jeans, in a similar way to my Hudson London print jeans, except this time it’s the beautiful Versailles in France. Even though these are printed I actually find them incredibly flattering as the print is darker and subtle enough to not make your legs look wider. It’s so unique and beautiful! I paired these jeans with my Zara faux leather front top as it’s a unique looking top and really matches well with darker jeans. To keep things within the black colour theme and flowing, I chose my Topshop Salma heels to add some length and height to my legs, which these shoes are perfect for! Since I always like to add a bit of colour to my outfits, I opted for my Cambridge Satchel in Wine Matte and my old Merle O’Grady crystal necklace. I’ve always been in love with this necklace as it’s so sparkly and colourful, it’s like a dream come true for someone who loves colour as much as me! I suppose this is a fairly simple outfit in terms of pieces, but I do love how…

Pinks, Yellows & Blues In Pastel Hues

(Jeans – Similar, Blazer – Similar, Shoes – Exact, Bag – Similar, Bracelet – Similar) I got to choose these gorgeous Ombre Blue TOMS to style and I couldn’t have been more excited! I love TOMS as you know and have about 4 pairs of them already, they are perfect for running errands in and I love them with outfits as they are sleek, but most of all I really do like their one for one policy where they donate shoes to people in need for every pair purchased. I wanted to embrace Spring and go with something colourful which is why I chose my Zara pink blazer and a paler pink top underneath to contrast against the blue. To add another primary colour to the mix I then chose my Marc by Marc Jacobs Karlie bag in Dandelion to brighten things up even more. I wanted to keep a base tone though and something neutral which is why I opted for my Hudson Nico white skinny jeans, to counteract too much colour. For my accessories, I chose my beloved Swarovski Tinkerbell necklace and my Adele Marie fuchsia Swarovski bangle, both of which I have had for some years! I’m incredibly ready for Spring now and can’t wait to start colour blocking more. What do you think of the outfit? Comment and let me know!

A Vintage Looking Hat With A Kimono

(Jeans – Exact, Kimono – Exact, Shoes – Similar, Hat – Exact) It’s getting a little bit difficult taking my photos in the rain, since the rain drops tend to make things a bit blurry and mark my clothes, but at the moment I don’t seem to have much of a choice. This is a look that I put together, styled around the hat and the kimono. I wanted to start by talking about this hat as it’s gorgeous! I got to choose it from Hats.com and I fell in love with it when I saw it. It’s called the cranberry Oksana Cloche hat and it has such an old fashioned vibe to it, it’s so pretty! I’m not usually a hat person, unless you count bobble hats for warmth, but I think this one actually suits me really well. I put my hair in a loose messy braid to go with the style of it and I think that’s what makes it work. This kimono believe it or not is actually from H&M. I saw it on another fashion blogger about 6 weeks ago and it inspired me to buy it myself. I’ve never actually worn a kimono before, so I was pleasantly surprised at how flattering it actually is. I think the fact that it’s see through really helps as you can still see your silhouette through it, so it doesn’t swamp your figure. Plus the fact that it’s a mix of burgundy and black, I think it’s so beautiful! It’s really cheap too, it only cost £19.99! I layered it over a simple white t-shirt so the…

London Print Jeans In The Wind

(Jeans – Exact, Coat – Similar, Shoes – Similar) I wore this outfit last weekend, but I actually wore the boots instead of shoes. I didn’t have chance to take the photos when I was out as it was pouring with rain, so I did them when it dried up, but as you can see the wind was ridiculous that day! I couldn’t take any shots with my face showing as my hair was just all over the place unfortunately. I’m wearing Hudson London Print Jeans, an old Black Coat and Black Heels, both from Topshop. On another note, I am sorry for not updating my personal style blog as much this week, but I was in London yesterday and today I was at the fashion show and found out that I had won the blogging award! I will be making a post on that tomorrow, but I do want to quickly say thank you to everyone of you who voted for me! Anyway, what do you think of the outfit?

Double Denim In Spring

(Jeans – Similar, Shirt – Similar, Shoes – Similar, Hat – Similar, Bracelets – Similar) Finally the weather has warmed up enough to not have to wear loads of layers and big coats, so I wanted to make the most of it and do a double denim look for spring! Double denim is one of my favourites, but I think it looks much fresher when you pair a light wash blue with a crisp white. They contrast each other perfectly. I’m wearing my Hudson White Jeans, a Denim Shirt, Grey Platform Shoes and a Floral Grey Hat all from Topshop and some various bracelets from ASOS and Topshop. Those of you who follow me on Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) will know that I was in London yesterday. I feel really tired and ill today though as it was such a long and busy day. I did see some amazing FW13 pieces though that I can’t wait to share with you. I hope you are all well and what do you think of the outfit?

Lemon Yellow Blazer With White Jeans

(Jeans – Similar, Jacket – Similar, Shirt – Similar, Shoes – Similar, Necklace – Exact) This is an outfit that I put together on Sunday. I got this jacket from River Island and luckily it was the only one left! I also purchased this shirt from H&M some time ago, but it hasn’t been warm enough to wear it until now. I actually really love the combination of yellow and white as it reminds me so much of spring! I’m wearing my Hudson White Jeans, a River Island Lemon Yellow Blazer, a H&M Yellow Shirt, my Topshop Metallic Toe Cap Heels, Gold Cross Pendant and Yellow ring. I honestly can’t wait for the weather to warm up some more! I’ve got so many outfits planned that I really want to wear, but unfortunately can’t lol. Also, I made a new video on YouTube, reviewing some of my Marc by Marc Jacobs bags! You can check out my channel here. So, what do you all think of the outfit? Do you like it? Comment and let me know!

Tan Sherlock Coat With White Jeans

(Coat – Similar, Jeans – Similar, Jumper – Similar, Bag – Similar, Shoes – Exact) Last Friday I went to @Bristol science museum to visit the planetarium to watch the Winter Night Sky show. I hadn’t been to @Bristol since I was at school over 10 years ago. It seemed a lot smaller than I remembered, but still really cool. I absolutely love science and space stuff so I love to do these types of things. I wore an old Topshop Tan Sherlock Coat and Tan Hi Tops, my Hudson White Jeans, a Zara Brown Jumper and Colour Block Bag. I have included some photos from the museum below and more of my outfit of course. Are any of you into doing these types of trips or do you prefer to just do more relaxing things? I also really like the combination of tan and white, so I do quite like how this outfit came out. Do you like the look too?
