LuisaViaRoma Firenze4Ever – Behind The Scenes

Here is the final post from my LuisaViaRoma Firenze4Ever series. This post features all of the behind the scenes photos from the shoots and also a lot of the views of the gorgeous city of Firenze in Florence. It’s such a beautiful place! I also did a video interview for Boynam magazine, which you can see below. It’s mixed in as a compilation with everyone else who took part in the interviews, including Chiara Ferragni, Bryan Boy, Bag Snob, Gary Pepper, Purse Blog, Robert Cavalli and more! I think this post really gives an insight as to what it was like in Firenze, during the day of the photo shoots and doing numerous other video interviews, as well as the views that we got to see along the way. Everyone was so friendly, even shop owners would greet you as you walked by, something I am definitely not used to over here in England! It’s like a completely different way of life in Italy and I loved it. The schedule was busy, busy, busy, but definitely enjoyable and it was so nice to meet other people in the same line of work as me. Enjoy the photos and the video below! Closing Dinner Party At LuisaViaRoma Firenze4Ever

So you have seen each of my three styling lab looks while at LuisaViaRoma’s Firenze4Ever event, but this was the closing dinner party. It was held at Giardini di Boboli which is one of the most incredible places I have ever been to! The views and the scenery are absolutely stunning! The dinner tables were set all around the lake which also had statues and lights in the middle, so it was one of the prettiest settings I have ever eaten dinner at. After everyone had eaten, there was a dance show and then it went onto the rock concert. There were so many people present during the night though! You can see that I met Giuseppi Zanotti in the photo just below, he’s so charming and wonderful! I also met Riccardo Pozzoli (those of you who are fans of Chiara Ferragni’s will know him) and he couldn’t be nicer! He chatted to my boyfriend and I for a while and was so friendly! There were many celebs and designers there, but I didn’t get chance to meet everyone as I was getting quite tired and we left not long after the rock band started as it’s not really our thing. There are some photos of me below with Camilla and Marina as well, those lovely ladies are from LuisaViaRoma! For my outfit, I wore my LOVE Hi Low Black Dress again, but this time with my Topshop Gabbi Metallic Toe Cap Heels. The neon yellow bag is from Leghila and it was part of my gift bag. It’s actually a laptop bag, but it worked perfectly as a handbag…

LuisaViaRoma Firenze4Ever Style Lab – Look 3

So here is my third and final look from the style lab styling and modelling session at LuisaViaRoma for Firenze4Ever. You can see my first look here and my second look here. For this outfit, I wanted to make an ensemble that was casual and comfortable, something you could wear for running errands and around the home on a Sunday, but with class, so it looks put together. We shot these photos in a penthouse, which was absolutely gorgeous! I wore a pair of Pierre Balmain distressed skinny jeans for the base, which I thought were really pretty. I really liked the wash and the raw hem that they had, it’s something different to what I usually wear. I paired the jeans with an Equipment silk satin blouse in Blue as I liked the colour with the denim. It’s the same as the pink one you have just seen in look 2, but in a gorgeous blue. For my accessories, I chose a Mulberry Mini Alexa in Oak as I adore Mulberry and think their bags are so easy and classic, then I went with a pair of Alexander McQueen Sequined Skull loafers in Navy as they were so comfortable and incredibly easy to walk in, yet still edgy and stylish because of the skull embellishment on the front. I have to say though, out of the three looks that I styled, this one is probably my least favourite, not because I don’t like it, but as it’s something casual, it’s quite easy on the eye, where as my other two looks are more striking and have a pop to…

LuisaViaRoma Firenze4Ever Style Lab – Look 2

Here is my second style lab outfit for LuisaViaRoma when I was in Florence in Italy last week. This look is more girly and definitely a little more my style, something that I feel comfortable in and would wear for an evening out! The photos were shot in the streets of Firenze, again in 38C heat, but thankfully that doesn’t show in the photos ha ha. I’ve used both photo sets again, from Lorenzo and from Adam, as I do like the difference in the shots. I styled these Rag & Bone Skinny Jeans in Destroyed Grey with a beautiful Magenta Silk Blouse from Equipment. I never usually opt for grey jeans all that often, especially in such a lighter shade, but I do like them a lot and I think the bright pink plays off the wash perfectly. It keeps everything fun and playful in my opinion. I chose these Giuseppe Zanotti Grey Suede Zipper Boots to go with the look as I like the dark and lighter greys contrasting. I think they really make it look edgy and they are absolutely gorgeous boots! I think you just need to look at them and they are sexy, even when they aren’t worn! They are high and slightly toe crushing, but definitely beautiful! To finish it all off, I chose a Saint Laurent Y Brushed Nude Clutch which I think just glams it all up! As it’s nude, it also doesn’t detract anything away from the pink and grey colour combination that I have going on. I think the setting of these photos on the streets of Firenze is really…

LuisaViaRoma Firenze4Ever Style Lab – Look 1

Ok, so this is the first look that I styled for LuisaViaRoma while in Florence. There are three looks in total and each one of them is completely different from the other. This look has more of the grunge glam theme that Firenze4Ever this time was centered around. I wanted to create something all black and quite different to how I usually dress. I asked the make up artist from Sisley to make my eyes heavy and my lips bold, so he chose to use grey and give me the smokey eye look as black was quite harsh for my pale skin tone. For my lips, we decided on a deep red which made everything that bit more dramatic. I chose/created/styled each one of my looks from the pieces that were in the store. It took me almost two hours to find the three different outfits and make sure they looked ok! For this outfit, I’m wearing J Brand Soft Denim Stretch Leggings with a LuisaViaRoma sleeveless t-shirt with graphics on it. I feel like this t-shirt gives it a little bit more of a tougher vibe! I went with the Giuseppe Zanotti Suede Loafers with Gold Horns for my shoes as I fell in love with these the moment I saw them. To finish it all off, I chose a Michael Kors Large Selma Saffiano Leather Bag to add a bit more character to the overall feel. I really liked how it turned out! The photos were shot on the rooftop of a penthouse in Firenze and the view was absolutely incredible! I couldn’t get over just how gorgeous…

LuisaViaRoma Firenze4Ever – The Opening Event

I’m trying to make every post of mine from my trip to Florence with LuisaViaRoma in order of how everything happened, so the post starting off the series is the opening event. We met everyone at the store for a meet and greet before being driven in cars through Tuscany (which is incredible) to Ville Le Corti for dinner. It’s a stunning place and so old! It’s got so much history to it and it’s famous for making some of the best oil/wine in the area. It’s also made of many recycled pieces, so nothing there is brand new, it’s all got some story behind it. The scenery was absolutely incredible though as I am sure you can see from the photos. It was so nice to meet Andrea, he owns LuisaViaRoma and is such a nice man, you can see one of the last photos in this post of my boyfriend and I with him and Camilla, who is also adorable! I will say though, it’s hard getting used to proper Italian foods with my food intolerance’s/allergies, but I managed. Food sort of came second to the whole event for me, plus being in such heat makes you not want to eat. It’s amazing how different everything is though, I even saw lizards running up and down the outside walls and I have never seen wild lizards here before. Anyway, this is the outfit that I wore for the opening event, my LOVE Black Hi Low Dress with my Sam Edelman Yelena Sandals which I accessorized with my Rebecca Minkoff Lilac Mini Mac and some Jewellery and a Watch…

My Trip To Florence Via Instagram – @LornaRiandrops

Ok, so I am finally back home after my trip to Florence! I arrived back home yesterday after leaving on Friday. Actually being in Florence was really surreal and crazy, but it’s one of the most prettiest cities I have been in! Italy is so different to England, everyone is friendly, welcoming and just really nice! It’s such a different way of life to what I am used to over here! People just talk to you and are happy because they are, never because they want something from you, I could definitely get used to it! Everything is very laid back and very easy going! The travelling though, that’s a whole different story! As you know, I was taking a train to London, then the Eurostar to Paris, then a Metro between two Paris stations, then the overnight Thello sleeper train to Florence. It was so much hard work! I really don’t like travelling and this trip was like the mother of all travels so to speak. The underground in Paris though is absolutely awful, I really didn’t like it one bit. The journey on the way back was the worst part. It was like something from a movie where things just go wrong, one after the other. It started out with our Italy train being delayed for an hour, which actually ended up driving slower, so the total delayed time was 2 hours, which meant we missed our Eurostar! I was really really sick on the train though, I barely slept and I was vomiting from travel sickness as well as feeling so dizzy with stomach ache, it was…

London To Paris, Through Switzerland To Florence

I have been waiting to share my little European adventure with you for a while, but I had to wait until it was all booked and confirmed. Now that I can share it with you, I am off to Italy! Firenze in Florence to be exact, however because I can’t fly due to medical reasons, my boyfriend and I are taking the trains. First we will be heading to London, to catch the Eurostar to Paris, then in Paris we will get onto the overnight sleeping train to Florence. The sleeper train goes through all of the Swiss alps, which will be beautiful! It’s going to be a really long amount of travel there and back, however let me tell you the reason why I am going. Luisaviaroma invited me to their Firenze4Ever bloggers event! Those of you who follow The Blonde Salad or Song of Style etc will know that it’s a really big bloggers event that happens twice a year, over the course of a weekend, to style the new seasons clothes and meet all of the other bloggers. I have been invited a few times before, but unfortunately wasn’t able to attend, however this time I am definitely going and I can’t wait! It will be my first time out of the country (other than Wales) and I couldn’t be looking more forward to it, I am nervous, but definitely excited! We wont get to stop in Paris long, only a few hours before changing trains, but I have plans for Paris towards the end of the year which I will fill you in on a little…
